To my knowledge they do not, and from what I hear if you start to have certain issues just reach out to them and they can let you know if you need one. It is a good idea to check though, it is like having your phone and there will be updates and upgrades that come out. Though it would be nice to get a notification of an update. Hope this info helps. Peace✌
When I had mine in it worked fine with my car, what car settings are you referring to? I may be able to help, but I am currently running a Tesla style head unit now.
I got mine for a 2016 Toyota Camry. I’m referring to the “vehicle settings”, it’s an app/widget like equalizer, google, car link, etc. I open the app and all my settings are saved from previous stock unit but I can’t make any changes. Settings like auto lock doors when closed or by speed, stuff like that. Those were settings on my stock unit.
@@db7339 i doubt it will be able to do that, that would more of a canbus thing that is connected to car. Maybe reach out to Idoing to see if there is a version to assist with that sort of connection.
Been watching your vids for a while. I own a 2016 WRX STI and I took a chance on the seicane unit! Being an audiophile who composes his own instrumentals. I’ve owned my seicane since 2019, and I have to say it’s a huge upgrade from the stock headunit! However after adding an amplifier and aftermarket speakers I do notice that the RCA inputs are low voltage and even though I’m using all audio control components I still cannot get past the audio filtering and or setting to volume to even 1 db of sound it emits noise that you can hear on mute. I’m curious to know how the Idoing holds up if you decide to go that route. I believe most Android HU are Chinese made which is also an issue for me being a tech head because I have interior and exterior lighting on my STI that I can only control with my phone, rather than the HU itself. It would be nice to be able to connect “All Bluetooth Devices”, besides just phone/OBDII but apparently there is some sanctions with countries/electronics and Bluetooth protocols that prohibits the use of third party apps by developers (don’t quote me, read from XDA Developers site). Anyway great videos and keep up the good work, I’ll be in touch! STIRAN
Appreciate you my guy! I have not dug that deep into the settings like that but I have even some volume controls that can be adjusted but out of the box it all sounds 10 times better than stock. And I used to be into beating down the block and would have amplified the system but I’m not there any longer 😅. Head unit did come with rca outputs so if I want to later I can add an amp. For now I am satisfied with how it sounds.
I have a 2021 WRX with the latest 2K Idoing head unit. I’m running all new speakers and added a sub and amp. The Idoing has RCA outs for all channels but it has the same constant noise issue that you’ve mentioned. Everything else is fine but the only 2 problems I have are the constant hiss from the front tweeters and mic audio and quality.
The 1st video of the install I got copyright strike and had to edit it again to fix it so I did not want those issues again. Not sure about a front camera but it does look like it will work with bumper sensors.
Nice vid. Still thinking about getting a iDoing head unit. I'm a bit of a audio snob, so just want to make sure the sound quality that the iDoing puts out is decent or at least on par with a proper aftermarket car audio head unit. Like Pioneer, Alpine, etc. Also, was it "FAT32" that was mentioned in the other video you mentioned? FAT32 is referring to the format or filing system that the USB drive uses to make it usable for other devices. FAT32 is the most common file system for storage devices. Most USB devices these days come pre-formatted in FAT32 to make things easy.
Appreciate that explanation of the fat32 thing that was throwing me off a bit, and yes the music is 3 times as loud as the stock and it does boost up the treble and bass as well. I’m back to have the in car concerts again😅
@@MoJoNinjaGarage Good to head about the sound quality on the iDoing HU. I think it's about time I pull the trigger and get one. I already have aftermarket door speakers, sub, amp, etc.. All the aftermarket audio gear is being held back by the stock HU. Need to fix that! 🤘
if you care about sound quality buy a different headunit. Most people that feel like this headunit makes things "sound good" is only because it provides more power than the stock headunit can in their stock speakers. ALL head units will do that. The idoing unit doesnt provide 5v preouts, nor quality resistors or capacitors, garbage mosfets or even audio processing in general. Despite all that SQL fails I still bought an idoing because I wanted a bigger screen without paying over 1k. Literally the only reason. If I was doing this for sound I'd buy something else. I also have amps jl subs etc.
Not that I know of, but I have been using a newer radio. I have the Tesla style head unit now, but if there is an update due to an issue you may have I would reach out to Idoing.
Was there more than one file for the update? They sent me a link to Google drive for a bt.bin file but thats all there was. The video you show on here the guy has more than one file for his update, so I'm assuming that you did too. Just looking for some clarity on my update situation.
Naw, they just sent me the one thing to put on flash drive and that was it. The guy in the video was doing some extra stuff for his flash drive to work. Once I connected flash drive. To the carlink USB cord it worked after that.

What carplay device is that, or is that bult into the head unit? I have Car2airplay or something like that, and it's been trash for me.
it's built into it big dawg all you need is either and iphone or android both are already in it.

Color
