@@StockMusicMusician no it's not haha, but I am a Reason enthusiast and I've finally been commenting on all the videos of people I keep coming back to. So you'll be seeing a lot more of me!
great tut!! i didnt know Scenic was a sampler as well!!! I always thought it was one of those Sample-based synths, kinda like most of those Synths from Native Insturments,-Now im going to give Scenic more attention! Thanks Evan !
Great video cheers! Have you done a video on how to allocate samples to certain ranges / keys for the nn19 sampler? Be useful for me. I tend to open lots of nn19’s to get many samples …🙄
Thanks for the breakdown down. Have a question, does mimic have a one-shot mode? Also, does it have a self choke function? So, for example, i wanna do fast snare roll. With a choke function, one will cut off the next for a clean roll instead of an overlapping mess. Thank you.
In slice mode, Mimic is basically acting like a shot shot sampler, but with a lot of shots to chose from. To do the choke function in Mimic, just turn it to mono note mode / single note polyphony.
Lil craziness I found out years ago from de Swedes: Redrum is pronounced exactly like Danny Torrence says it. A ton of the device names are references like that. Even Reason itself is the weapon from the book Snow Crash.
NN19 is a one layered sampler the real advantage is nn19 mosft of the functions are edible on the fly...in the NNXT its not if you using single samples
Shows how much I pay attention, I never noticed you could use your own samples in Scenic. I thought it was like malstrom & had a set library. Thanks
Oh nonono! It truly shines when you start dropping in some unique samples!
Cool! I'm beginning my studying back into working with this new stuff and I just heard of Scenic! Really cool! Thanks for your vids!
You're welcome Paul!
Great video and overview of Reason's many samplers! Thanks for sharing
You’re so welcome! Is this Nick?!

I haven’t, but that’s a great suggestion.

Also Paul Hardcastle - Nineteen is the source of NuhNuh-19, to which NNXT was NuhNuhNext

Very useful! Btw, you could use a HP-filter on your mic, unless you could separate it from the keyboard stand. Cheers :)
I do have a high pass filter on, but my voice is pretty low so I can't use it as aggressively as I'd like to get rid of keyboard rumble.
