Ah thanks so much mate!
I think the fact that the Evermore dedicates 3 out of 5 knobs to decay control is a little bit too specific and even though I like the Hall sound a little more I feel like the Heavenly gives you more options on adjusting and sculpting the sound. The predelay being a knob on the Heavenly and a switch on the Evermore is a huge difference for me, and if you're looking for modulation control like I do, having a switch dedicated to Modulation speed on top of the dedicated knob makes the Heavenly a clear "winner" but again, I kinda wish both had the same parameters with just Hall and Plate sounds being the difference, but that's kinda boring to have in 2 separate pedals so I understand that as well.
The heavenly seems more usable and has more clarity
The Dam at Otter Creek huh?! Damn. Good riff choice!
Cheers man! Tuuuuune!
Hey Matt - good illustration of differences between Plate and Hall reverb. Btw how many 100s of reverb pedals are there available now. And people keep releasing more for reasons unknown. And most of them sound almost identical. People can take their pick of more than 100 imo. Won't make any difference. I've had over 10 reverb pedals in my time. Still prefer tube spring reverb from tube amps myself :)
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! There’s always new spins or better recreations of classic gear, more choice is always a good thing imo but if you’ve got one you like the best then you’re all good! 😊🤘
Predelay!? How did I not know this was a thing?
I actually had never really used it until I started playing with these haha
Only 7 minutes in and it sounds great but I don’t think you’re using the Evermore’s decay correctly.
The EQ knobs control the decay so if you turn one up then that part will sustain for longer. Likewise turning it down will create a much shorter reverb.
Sounds great but think you missed this 👍
Yea am aware of how the eq affects the level of decay and they’re hugely interactive, thought I’d mentioned it in the vid but it may not have made the cut haha 🤘😊
The delay time was significantly different for the units - not a real comparison.
