John is just the nicest guy that I am filled with jealousy over! He's just killing it with everything. Like just everything! All the love John, you amazing lucky talented man.
Ron was nice at heart, but he didn't speak the language of women. Which is to make them laugh enough to the point to where u can them provide them pleasure another way
Totally - even small "throwaway" jokes like when he pretends Millie is going to come on stage are just so full of positive energy and humor I can't help but smile.
1:01 John talks about Seth's baby and crowd cheers, 1:15 "my wife was the hero but...." Seth brings it back to the film. seriously that's a good interviewer right there. well done
Mr. V Lol! Yeah I had to cough halfway through the movie? Some soda went down the wrong pipe. I'm trying so hard not to because I didn't want to ruin the silence
In the first minute and 15 seconds, we have a man opening up emotionally about his love for his family and another man calling his wife a hero for childbirth and I love to see it
I saw this movie over the weekend and sort of disregarded all of the raving reviews because I didn't want to go into it with any expectations and be disappointed BUT might I say that it was absolutely incredible and deserves all the recognition that it's getting. I cried, GO SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY
Yeah, Madilyn, saw it yesterday and thought it was pretty great. But I have a question for you - why did the farm still have electricity, since it seemed like humanity had been pretty much wiped out?
EdithHead nuclear power stations can pump out electricity for decades. If there’s no one around to cut you off for not paying your bills, then everyone would have free energy.
One of the most famous guys from the American version of The Office could not believe the dude who wrote a billion horror books liked his very well received horror film. That is almost unbelievable!
Its extremely common for lead actors in long running tv shows to end up directing a few episodes here and there. Directing short one off episodes of a show where you already know the characters/ themes etc extremely well to then directing a feature length film of a completely unfamiliar genre and then having one of the godfathers of said genre give you praise is very impressive
he is literally the funniest celebrity i’ve ever seen! when he joked about the actress milli being in the studio as a surprise guest i really laughed out loud and i don’t think i’ve laughed more genuinely watching an interview hahah
John Krasinski getting all this praise right now makes me feel like there is right in the world. Hope is not lost, people. Good people can still get the recognition they deserve.
In the last year I've seen 4 movies that included Sign language actually. Hush,War for the planet of the apes, baby driver, and now this. Idk what the sudden trend is, but this movie isn't the first.
I love Tom Holland, but had they decided to go the adult route for Peter Parker I definitely would have wanted John. He's the perfect balance of geeky and confident, plus he cracks one liners like his life depends on it. Now I'm just hoping he gets to play Mr. Fantastic.
Jim Jon is on like every trending video...actually only three, but still super impressive. This makes me smile. Oh and he's clearly been to one of my beard growing seminars. Haha!
Stephen King's stories aren't about the monsters, they're all about the characters. That's what I love about his stories and Krasinski's opus. The characters become real people we know in real life, making the monsters all the more frightening.
Now I've got to see A Quiet Place again! And maybe call a certain Deaf friend by Zoom, hope my ASL isn't too rusty. But yeah, any kind of story I watch or read needs characters that to me are real, otherwise credibility & interest is lost.
Why would that be a problem? If this were a message board where people discussed criminal activities such as illegal drug use or distribution of warez I could see the necessity for concealing one's identity. This however is the comments section for media uploaded by the copyright holder themselves. The most a person could garner from my comment is that I was logged into youtube at the time the comment was made.
Omg what an incredible high John Krasinski must be having from this movie. Good for you man! The first time I saw you was of course The Office which I still love to watch. The comment from Ryan Reynolds about seeing it twice I'm planning too to see it again too. Just beautifully made 👍
Probably the first time I've seen Seth, a wee bit unsettled with his questions/delivery--- and I think he's THE best interviewer in Late Night comedy there is. J. Krasinski killed it, by out-i terviewing him. ❤️🙌🏼🙌🙌🙌
This movie is probably my favorite thriller of all time. First time I’ve been excited for a sequel, I just hope it’s close to as great as the first one!
This movie reminded me of a short story I read a long time ago. Was a story called, "Milk Teeth". It is also an audio dialogue on youtube. It comes to me as no surprise that Stephen King found this movie in high regard. Great concept and good acting. Can't say it was my favorite movie or the best movie, but John did a bang up job in a genre that was out of his element. Anything can be made with heart, bravo.
John calling Millie an Angel and a beautiful talented woman made me legit "AW", not because I have the same name as her but because she genuinely is so talented. Both the kids in the film are! So many props to them both, they were absolutely fantastic, and I'm glad John picked them for the roles. Everyone did so amazingly well in the film. He's obviously an amazing father if he talks about kids he works with like that, when his kids get older they're going to be cherished even more than they are already and probably CRAZY talented.
As someone who only likes classic horror movies I was impressed by this film. The atmosphere and suspense is spot on and of course if Stephen King likes it you know it has to be good.
This movie is actually SO GOOD, not your average horror movie, it’s different in a good way! So glad i saw it in theater! Good job john and emily, they are SO TALENTED, and an adorable couple!
miat789 he’s obnoxiously bias with his political views tho. I consider myself to be moderate, and the way he works his far leftist views into everything is nauseating. He cried when hillary lost election for fucks sakes... i do love his geuine interview ability though
John Krasinski is by far one of the most amazing and wonderful people out there. Funny enough, so is Stephen King. I wish I lived in a world that was more like them, but where would we get King's horror from then ...
This movie was amazing, I couldn't believe how the silence kept my attention it was like you could hear what was going on totally forgot about the silence after awhile , it was just an awesome, awesome movie great job John!
I'd say maybe he was more of a regular guy in season one of the office or something ....but it might be my personal taste but somewhere between the last few seasons of TO and now I think he's just reached his peak attractiveness (which Imo n is very hot). Not sure if it's wealth suiting people or again, my personal preferences, but despite the popular opinion that younger is better, I think men get the hottest they'll be at like early 30s to late fourties depending, countless of examples in Hollywood and irl that I've seen of this. Look at pics of all the most popular men in Hollywood and sports who are around that age now.......(brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Stephen curry, Ryan Reynolds, Justin Timberlake, Jason momoa..Ben afflek....will smith....I can go on and on)...and compare it to when they were like 18-25.......if they take care of themselves they almost always look better with age imo (up until like 50). Not as many women are the same, but some are (though I'm a straight woman, so probably not the best judge of that)
Your daughter in the movie, and now in the second movie, was wonderful. It can't be said enough, how good she was. I could feel her emotions and they were deep. The whole cast was great.
Wow what an amazing movie!! It will make your heart race, then make you cry, then back to jumping out of your seat. A must see in theatres!! Emotional, suspenseful, thoughtful.
I am so happy for John. I wish nothing but more movies to come from him. If he is the director or co director *BRAVO* I watched it the other night and was astounded and loved the ending makes out to be one of my if not my favorite horror film all time. John you are doing great things and hope there are millions more to come.
Yet the person who actually wrote the script didn't even get named. No wonder why all the best writers have moved to Television, in TV it's all about the creators
VirtualHigh5 Can't agree more.. and that's why there are so many sarcastic jokes about screen play writers. That no one even cares about them. However, script is the core of a good film.
VirtualHigh5 The thing is, the original screenwriter sold his script to the movie studio and after that it was probably re-written a few times. So really, the guy only wrote the idea. John Krasinski actually brought it to life and made it work on screen. I'm not saying he shouldn't be credited. A lot of times, though, when a screenwriter sells a script to a movie studio... it's just work. They are trying to make a living. Every once in a while, their work manifests into a successful movie, but when that happens, it's because the studio hired the appropriate crew and director to turn that original rough script into a polished, finished product.
ultimatekai You are absolutely right. And I completely understand the whole idea behind the "rough draft" is turned into a masterpiece by other writers or creators. Still... the writers do the work. They invent ideas and give the push for further development of the plot but they are critically underestimated
Good work pays off people, everyone is GOING NUTS for this movie, is has a fantastic premise and is utilized better than I would've imagined. Krasinski did a stellar job with this one and i'm more than down for what he has in store next...the only problem I had with the movie though...a tad too many jump scares for my liking, it feels like that was added in to help normal folk understand that it was a horror and not a thriller, but what people don't understand is that horror is that intense feeling of being scared, not a scary thing in your face accompanied by a sound effect, that's just the simple way of saying, hey look this is scary, but being able to convey the feeling of the intensity in scary moments is what horror is, and John did that BRILLIANTLY with this film.
For so long, horror has been one of our greatest commentaries on what's swirling around us in the outside world, and I am glad we're once again getting to see films coming out of the genre that are so visceral and thought provoking at the same time. Job well done for John and his incredible cast and crew.
John Krasinski, I doubt you'll read this BUT WATCHING YOUR MOVIE RE-INVIGORATED MY INTEREST IN MAKING MOVIES AGAIN!!! YOUR WORK ON THIS MOVIE JUST HIT ALL THE NERDY POINTS THAT A FILM BUFF USUALLY ONLY PAYS ATTENTION TO.....I WOULD DO JUST ABOUT ANYTHING FOR A CHANCE TO WORK ALONGSIDE SOMEONE WHO IS THAT CREATIVE AND GENUINELY ENJOYS THE PROCESS. LIKE FOR REAL ANYTHING!!! I'M JUST GOING TO PUT IT OUT INTO THE UNIVERSE THAT I WILL GET TO WORK ALONG WITH YOU AND MANIFEST IT INTO REALITY BECAUSE I NEED SOMETHING TO HAPPEN POSITIVE IN MY LIFE ABOUT NOW!!
Grinning Duck hahaha of all the trolls worried about my comment so much so that they had to comment yours was at least original and funny! Lmao! Thanks for that!
Path Evermore absolutely not but most marvel actors basically play themselves so I assume they'll get a actor who's intelligent, charming and a bit pretentious like Reed, also Reed and Sue always have issues with their marriage so I dont want John and Emily to play them because it wouldn't be good for their IRL marriage life imitates art. Give him Hal Jordan or maybe Nova if it has to be marvel
I feel like John Krasinski is going to become the next Tom Hanks in terms of being just an all around great guy in Hollywood.
Michael Peterson I don’t rate him as a dramatic actor yet. Hope a quiet place changes my mind
In fairness, Tom Hanks started out in comedies too, and was in that realm for quite a long time before starting his dramatic career.
Sunder Gaming Why would you say that?
Michael Peterson i think he already is. 😍
I would love that. I thought The Office may have pigeonholed him so this makes me so happy.
Thank goodness for beards.
John is my favorite person in Hollywood. Everybody is telling him how great he is right now yet he still acts like he's good old Jim from the office.
that's so true
Wtf !!! Thats Jim from the office......
It isssss.
Yes. He's very comparable to Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt. Love all 3 equally.
I love your comment and I agree ☝️
Chicken Little he’s the only good person in Hollywood
*protect Emily Blunt and John Krasinski at all costs*
Karina PROTECT THEM FROM WHAT ARE THEY OKAY

Keep hoes away from them!!! Babysit their kids for free so they can have dates! Cook breakfast for them and claim it was the other one!
This is awesome. Love it. lol. But seriously ...I agree! ha!
Protect Mary Poppins and Jim from the Office at all costs
The movie is terrific. And John seems like a really nice, genuinely good person. Good for him.
Yaron Steinbuch was that a compliment or a criticism?
Definitely a compliment.

Did you seriously have to ask, SMH, lol. I think it's pretty obvious.

You look like mike scott
Krasinki is a great guest
antinapay he and his wife are hilarious on the Graham Norton Show, give it a watch if you haven't already seen the clips on UA-cam.
Vicious Phenom Y tho, Y u gotta hate he seems like a nice guy... Tbh UA-cam comment section so toxic💯
Vicious Phenom how?
lmao
Yes, I agree 100%...he's such a good celebrity, makes me want to watch his stuff!!
I feel like Seth's show is really underrated compared to Kimmel and Fallon's.
Because he let's them talk and just listens
Nabaa Eyddan I actually don't find the other 2 that funny tbh.. I love Seth...
Seth is great and I love Fallon but idk there’s something about Kimmel I guess he just isn’t for me which is obviously okay 😊
Specially compared with Kimmel
@@noellejaromsky5588 He's a Scorpio, we aren't for everyone.

I agree, he deserves all the success he can get.
I usually don't laugh out loud, but John Krasinski has this certain kind of humor that totally makes my day every time
Totally - even small "throwaway" jokes like when he pretends Millie is going to come on stage are just so full of positive energy and humor I can't help but smile.
you should laugh more, wtf are you doing with your life if you say things like "i dont usually laugh out loud"

Like if he were on several lines of coke, it would be Robin Williams like.

Went to see this mostly because we're big fans if The Office and we just love this guy. But the movie itself was solid and I liked it a lot.
Mr. V Lol! Yeah I had to cough halfway through the movie? Some soda went down the wrong pipe. I'm trying so hard not to because I didn't want to ruin the silence
Mr. V yeah the only noise was popcorn during the trailers then absolute silence

Pam Pong!

Nah he would make it through! He’d combine all his pranks he did to Dwight to home alone the situation and murk the monsters
Best comment ever !
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
When you feel like he’s not Hollywood: 1:00 “We have to talk about YOUR baby.” Someone who’s not completely self-absorbed, go figure.
Nice comment. Yes, naturally off script.
In the first minute and 15 seconds, we have a man opening up emotionally about his love for his family and another man calling his wife a hero for childbirth and I love to see it
John has this like charisma that just makes you want to be around him. He's so witty and quirky, I love him so much.
I like how John was like, “enough about me, what about you?”
John has the most controlled most chaotic energy I've ever seen
Robin Williams on - Negative 3 lines of coke.

Alex Silverstein difference is he was known for ACTING in the office.
YuTu13e Krasinski directed 3 episodes of The Office.
Alex Silverstein
3 episodes for a tv show vs a movie you have one shot to get right (release wise)
I heard the movie taste of King is not that good
Its extremely common for lead actors in long running tv shows to end up directing a few episodes here and there. Directing short one off episodes of a show where you already know the characters/ themes etc extremely well to then directing a feature length film of a completely unfamiliar genre and then having one of the godfathers of said genre give you praise is very impressive
John Krasinski: *uses sign language* stop your too loud, the monsters will hear us

John Krasinski can be a great Late Night Host, anybody retiring ?
Amol Meshram I feel like hosting a late night show is where comedians go to die lately....I hope he has a long and wonderful career ahead of him

Pretty stoked about this movie ASL in a movie is over due
Lilitu check out the movie “Hush” on Netflix. It’s a thriller. It isn’t the best movie at all, but definitely an interesting concept and also has asl!

Stephen King's stories aren't about the monsters, they're all about the characters. That's what I love about his stories and Krasinski's opus. The characters become real people we know in real life, making the monsters all the more frightening.
Absolutely! Well said. King writes fantastic characters that genuinely move the readers (or audience, for the movie adaptations).

Little Big Men Productions It has a couple plot holes as well, but nothing that really matters all that much.
He's making a Sci fi horror called Life in Mars next!
I just watched it last week but ive already forgot where the jumpscares were all i remember is emily blunt being a total badass at the end.
Yessss! Finally i see comment with a claim on jump scares! It would have been so much better without them).
John Krasinski has to one of my favorite actors today!!
i saw a quiet place two days ago and cried my eyes out. it was thrilling, terrifying, but incredibly eye-opening. i loved it!
For so long, horror has been one of our greatest commentaries on what's swirling around us in the outside world, and I am glad we're once again getting to see films coming out of the genre that are so visceral and thought provoking at the same time.
Job well done for John and his incredible cast and crew.
"That's a baby in your sweat pants" 🤣😂😭
Can hardly wait for AQP2 hopefully coming soon and release not delayed any longer...
“NO DIALOGUE DEAL WITH IT KID” 🤣😂🤣
Currently watching the office for the first time and it’s so cool to see how far John has come
Never paid much attention to John Krasinski before but that beard has me swirling.
Seth is the best interviewer of all the late night hosts. He’s smart while questioning and listens during the answer.
“Beets, Bears, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA”
bears. Beets. BATTLESTARGALITICA
You both ruined it.
@@tarijordan8922 If I could like what you said twice, I would.

His beard is amazing I need a beard like that.
I’m obsessed with this movie!!!!!❤️
Dante Ferrise anything huh? Creep
Dante Ferrise hope u get done work bro
Yeah, Dante, I'm sure Krasinski hires desperate-sounding people off UA-cam.
just because the president does it deosnt mean that it's okay... nuff with the CAAAAAAPPPPPSSS....
Grinning Duck hahaha of all the trolls worried about my comment so much so that they had to comment yours was at least original and funny! Lmao! Thanks for that!
The movie is incredible. I loved every minute of it. Highly recommend
John Krasinski for Green Lantern!!!
NO!! John Krasinski for Reed Richards!!! NERD RAGE!!!
Reed Richards.
I will literally fight people for Krasinski as Reed Richards. He will be assimilated into the Marvel Collective!
John is a special boi...he has a special place in my *heart*
