I grew up going to Catholic Church as a kid and have heard hundreds of hymns, which majority of the time end like this! I never knew what the word was for “Picardy Third” until now. I always called it “the satisfying ending” 🤣 thank you for helping me expand my musical vocabulary!
Another very interesting exemple is the ending of the 1 mov. of the 5 cello suite written by Bach! I didnt knew that there was a name to that feeling! Very nice to know more!
