I have been using OBS to up my video call game. I use a SONY ZV-1, capture card and RODE Wireless Go II. I do not do recordings .. With this tool (pro version) I have done more in 1 hour than months of OBS effort. This tool is great for those of us only looking to better their video call presence. Thank you for your on target videos!
I’ve the pro plan, it’s very basic and very heavy on resources . It’s good at zooming your camera, setting a frame and adding a blur etc. the overlays are useful for adding a signature or lower third. For online meetings is pretty limited .
Thank you for a simple and yet detailed look into the CAMO APP. It was truly a pleasure listening to you and your explanation of this software. I will have to try it for myself
Ive been using Camo for my android phone and like it. I wish some of the apple only features would be updated for android, but I hear they are working on it.
Hey Cat. Thanks for the demo. I just bought Camo, and I love it! I tried OBS with my laptop and it kept freezing during Zoom meetings. I have no issues using Camo.
Thank you for this great Video. Came is perfect for me. Thank you for Sharing. I'm always so happy to see videos from you, I'm a big fan of you and your work and I think it's absolutely great what you do and how you do it. best regards Alex
👍Great tool Kat, thank you. Hw well does Camo integrate with Streamdeck? For example having Stream deck configured to pop up or fade-in the overlays, or even sound effects with the overlays? Or possibly a preset configuration of amount of zoom, coloring, background blur for specific meetings/calls, to be able to one button bring up that preset?
So, I'm a huge fan of the Camo app on my Mac Mini (which has no camera of its own) and my iPhone 13 Pro. I totally get the watermark, subtle blur, etc., but damn, I'm so frustrated by the out-of-sync audio. I understand your point about funneling all audio through Camo and then into Zoom. That makes sense and explains why I had problems in my last recording when I used nifty new AirPods on the iPhone and the Mac Mini. 🙄 I'll be testing again in another scheduled international call this afternoon. One alternative I'd try was to run Camo AND Zoom on my iPad. Is there any way to get Camo to act as the camera feeding Zoom? It doesn't appear that Zoom recognizes Camo as a virtual camera on the iPad, and there's no way to select it. Is that right?
Definitely use the Camo mic option with your Mac Mini! As for the iPad, I don't believe most virtual camera software is compatible with mobile operating systems. I haven't looked enough into it or tried testing it, though. I'm sure someone else out there has!
Fabulous,@@CatMulvihill! I'm now impressed (from your videos) with the potential for overlays with virtual camera software. Yeah, I didn't think there was. I'll reach out to the Reincubate folks for help with my Zoom lipsync problem. The iPad may just be my fallback solution until that's fixed.
Huzzah! 🙌I'm pleased to say that after a week of jumping through hoops, I finally solved my "lipsync" problem between a MacMini and my Camo camera with your advice above. The trick was to be sure the audio flows THROUGH the Camo Studio app, not directly from the iPhone. Genius, @CatMulvihill I'm a devotee now.
@@CatMulvihill Thank you. Again, you're my hero now. The good folks at Reincubate share a space in your fandom. When I explained that you'd solved my problem they responded with "of course, she's great!" 🥰

i might be basic, but i love camo and recommend it all the time. thanks cat! 👍
Not basic if it works for you! I know I'll be recommending it much more now that I understand it better.

Great stuff, Cat. I like your channel.
I use the free Camo, but leaves the logo on your stream when you use it, so I hide it behind my layout that I made in OBS.
Thank you. If you want simple but make it look good, this seems to be the way to go.
Exactly!
Hi Cat, I love Camo. Great for run & gun when you are on the move!

Thanks for that info. Appreciated all your videos and have subscribed. Can camo be used with more than one iPhone?
Could you use it for ppt?

Currently, there is no plugin for the Stream Deck, so you would be limited to programming hotkeys.
how did you get Camo for Mac I have a MacBook Pro new one and can't find and app or link that's compatible. can you help please. thank you
Does it also work with with Windows?
Yes! The Studio works with Windows: reincubate.com/camo/?ref=yzewnwm#downloads
