I seriously couldn't think of just one title for this video. Maybe.... A bee in the hand is worth two on the bush? If I hadn't caught it on camera you wouldn't have believed me again for the third time? Nah, that's way too long. So help me out and lets see how creative you would have been on this one.
Last year I had an amazing experience catching a swarm of honey bees and the video went crazy viral. Sharing the joy I have for such a small creature with the world is an honor to say the least. I've long said that the schools have failed us for the last few generations when it comes to education our children about bees. The only thing we hear about them anymore is when the mainstream media talks about Africanized bees attacking someone's dog because it gets ratings. I hope that my videos shows a different light on one of our most essential insects we have in this world.
So, the story goes like this. We had some friends over visiting the apiary when out of nowhere, a box of bees in the yard decided to swarm ( split in half and make a new colony). This is natures way of recreating a bee colony. It was such a cool experience for them. They had an opportunity to stand in the midst of thousands of bees and have no fear. Although bees can and will sting even during swarming, they generally are less likely to do so. After things settled down and they clustered on a low branch in the yard, I grabbed the camera and a bee hive to put them in. As they stood off nearby, I went to work catching the bees and the rest is queen catching history.
As always, I am humbled at the response of the UA-cam community for watching my videos and the great comments and questions you leave. As well as keeping them family friendly.
I try my best to respond to as many as I can even if it's just hitting that ❤️ to let you know I saw the comment. Thank you for taking the time to connect with me. - Навчання та стиль
Classic Yappy: "Don't try this at home. I'm a trained idiot."
and he doesn't mind being one lol
Yea its true
🤣😂
I remember watching my late father collect a swarm at a local elementary school. That is the way he did so. That was 30 years ago. Thank you for the memories.
It's a pleasure to be able to share moments that can do that.
That’s a long title
@@YappyBeeman 👍🏻
my father used to keep bees, far from a professional, but he passed away recently too. always brings joy watching these videos!
@@fakerfaker8335 My father started out helping a friend and found he enjoyed the bees and then kept it up for years after retirement. I'm sorry for your loss.
Normal people: Nope, nope I'm not going anywhere near that swarm.
YB: WOO, BEE SWARM, LET'S GET THE QUEEN!! (shakes the branches) *BOOM* LOOK AT THAT!
I'd be atleast 70 feet away from that swarm lol
I would be: nope I'm out
I love your enthusiasm. Who knew that watching a "trained idiot" save some bees could be so much fun. I love it !
I know..... wait.....ummmmmm
The skill and knowledge is one thing, but the eye sight needed to pick out the Queen amongst that swarm is extraordinary!! Great video again!
Thank you Matt.
Do you really fall for this? He does a camera cut every time he randomly finds the Queen.
Yappy, your enthusiasm for bees never gets old! ANNNNND.... You're freakin' crazy!
Yappy, I love your energy. Always so happy and positive. As a gal who has trouble seeing the positive side of things, thank you for giving me an example to follow. :) Keep doing what you're doing.
I can't know, why you have the "sight problem", but I know how it can bee :P and would like to suggest you take a look at some of the videos with japanese craftmanship. Find any short one (2 - 5 minutes is fine), and turn in on while listening to some of the "soft" music you like. I think, it could become meditative for you. IF you try, AND it works out for you, I'll explain, why I suggested it. Best wishes from Denmark..
"Don't try this at home, I'm a trained idiot and I don't mind being one"
Had my stomach hurting🤣
I am SO AMAZED that 1) you can spot the queen so readily, and 2) that you don't get stung.
Oh, a title? "The Runaway Queen", you know like the movie "The Runaway Bride"
I get it... ..pretty good one
the thing I like about watching your bee adventures is your absolute joy and wonderment, the natural world is a better place with you in it,nature rocks ,I wish everybody saw the wonder of it all like you, keep rockin man.👍🐝
Yappy you are Da man!! I’m glad I’m not the only one that flips out when catching the Queen! My neighbours think I am a crazy woman running around my garden shrieking “I got her! I got her! Whoop!” Good catch Dude! Sally xx
Them non bee folk just don't get it .....
That is truly a gift you have for catching queens. Another awesome swarm catch. Thanks for sharing
You’re a legend
Brand new bee keeper in North AL here! Watching your videos gave me the courage to start my own hive! Thanks for sharing the joy Yappy!
"Don't try this at home, I'm a trained idiot" lmao
Yappy makes it look so easy. Another swarm finds a home! BAM!
I wish i could be like you. I get super scared of bees, i dont wanna get stung or hear the buzzing in my ear because it makes me flinch
Your positive energy is contagious!! Keep up the good vibes mr.beeman :D
Yappy is like the Bob Ross of beekeeping. "Happy little bees."
I absolutely love your videos! So amazing watching you interact with the honeybees. What truly blows my mind is how easily you can spot the queen! Thanks for sharing these exquisite, most beautiful videos. 🐝🍯🐝🍯🐝🍯🐝
I think the title should have been: “Boom, I got ‘er! Boom, Ba Ba Ba Boom!” Another great video.
Bees in a Good Mood
Dumping Bees in a Box
Shaking Swarm of Bees
.. but seriously, this is my first time watching. HOLY COW! How do you see that queen so quickly? Stick your hand in a swarm of bees? You're freaking awesome!
Thanks for jumping in. As far as queen spotting, I can't really say. Just lots of practice and an eye for them
🐝I love ❤️ bees! 🐝
Thank you for sharing Yappy. It's so beautiful to watch you work with the bees. Such hardworking little creature's, just doing a job and doing it well. 💫
We know Yappy will get Happy when he captures a queen out of a swarm!
That's right!!!!
this made me so happy
He has the sharpest eyes !!!
This guy would put his Hand in a boiling pot and then tell you it’s not Hot enough
The energy this guy has is otherworldly, it's so amazing
I have literally binge watched hours of this channel. There is just something about it. Calming, educational, appreciating the Creation and hence the Creator. LOVE IT❤
Amen. Thank you for the love.
Swarm video's freak me out, but LOVE them
Cheers Mr Yappy Bee Man 🐝
I’m amazed how you just get right in there and get your queen. Me allergic would not, I don’t run from them because I love bees but I try not to upset them. Thank you for keeping our bees safe
Everytime! I mean everytime! Yappy gets the Queen! Way to go Yappy! Look forward to all your videos! 628 slipping.... Let's go Randy! All you guys are great 🐝 ranglers!
you had me laughing at the picture before i opened the video! Thanks, sweetie, I needed that one!
We’re gonna start calling you ‘ lucky Yappy beeman ‘ The way you always find the queen, even following her flight to the windshield! Another great video, keep them coming. Mike from Montreal.
"Skilled" "trained"
This is SO fascinating! I love it. I just discovered the channel and subscribed. Your love and passion for this really oozes out of the videos!
You definitely need a dedicated camera man, I cannot believe you're doing all that yourself!
Thank you.
The way you manage to pick out the queen amongst all that is the craziest part for me
I love your love for your job.
I love bees , always have. Got stung a few times as a child trying to stroke them but I still love them. We hardly see any now in the UK where their populations have been decimated. So glad I've found this channel.
Love your excitement. Keep it going Yappy
You get so excited and the energy you give off is catching. Makes a person want to try, not me. Have a great day
I hope this is the excitement I feel when I start in the spring! Love the channel!
Imagine being in the kitchen doing dishes, watching him with the bees and hearing him yell about the queen. BOOM BOOM BABOOM
1:38 let’s me know you’ve been this way since a child
That fearlessness and reaction 🙌🏽
If I walked on my truck I would have to duck to drive it. Nice catch!
You sir are not an idiot. You must have an amazing temperament to keep these so calm. Nice
Great video! I love the "Boom" and catching the queen on the windshield! Great job Yappy!
I’m allergic to bee stings and get stung at baseball game with 30,000 people there. You stick your hand in the middle of 30,000 bees-nothing. 🤔 ♥️👍🏼
Yapping your so funny, I love it spending time with you and listening to you educating ppl on bees. I'm new to watching a couple of you guys and learning so much. Keep finding the Queen 🐝🐝
Its always a pleasure to show a side of bees that most don't understand. They are all dangerous but so needed in our food chain and we are all glad to let others know there is an alternative to having tonexterminate them. Thanks for watching.
That was absolutely epic! Great video
Queen was ALL shook up :)
I love how excited he gets when he gets the queen
You're awesome dude! You bring such enthusiasm to what most people would find terrifying. I love the comical touch you add also.
Keep it up!
👍
Thank you. Just having my bit of fun.
@@YappyBeeman 😉
Where was this? And a hive split?
Yeah right, ASMR? You’d have “skert” me right outta my skin IF I did ASMR. (I find it boring!) lol 😂
I just got goosebumps watching! Thank you for sharing! I hope it didn't hurt much! 💜🦋🕊
tottaly havent stuck my hand in a swarm of hornets (i did have gloves and a bee keeper suit)
Fantastic ! Your video's are GREAT,
We saw a swarm on a recent holiday. The sound is unmistakable!
Exactly. My wife who hates bees knows it like a child's whisper when she hears it.
You’re a mad man! I love it. Thanks for not hurting the bees
This is like watching extreme Where’s Waldo. 🤣. That was amazing!!!
I love watching Yappy handle the bees so awesome 💜
Love it! I’m always that excited about finding the queen 🤩
Meeeee tooooooo
Wow I've just found this channel and I'm hooked... Never seen anyone handle bees I like this. Most people run a mile from one!!!! Is it true that a bee dies once it has stung you?
Unfortunately yes.
Love your content and passion for those cute bees!
Thank you.
People think I’m insane for being a cave diver. Happy you are a real man sir. Just found this. Love it
Thank you but I applaud you.....I would NEVER play in caves. I have this fear that the day I do, a mega earthquake will hit dead center to where I am. Ain't gunna do it!
@@YappyBeeman please my man you fingered about 2 million 🐝. Then pick up the 👸 🐝 like a savage. I have family in Huntsville Ohhhhhh snapppp I may have to see some bee action. 👊
As a guy who is relatively selective about his subscriptions (30, with only a handful of those that are REGULARLY active) and tends to keep them in the realm of "news" it always amazes me how when I get a Y.B.M. alert that THAT is ALWAYS the vid I go to before all others.
While this may not be the first time you have this idea thrown out there, Yappy, hear me out; now I know you MUST have a tremendous bee farm (it would be a crying shame if you didn't) and you are probably enjoying the "fruits" of your labor in the form of RAW honey, but I can't help but scratch my head about the fact that I don't see any marketing for "Yappy's Bee Bite (raw) Honey"!?!
Everyone surely knows the numerous benefits of RAW honey and I myself would happily purchase a jar (though I'll be expecting 2 "freeBEEies" for the name & idea) just to have it proudly sitting in my kitchen, or on my dining room table (packaged in an antiquated mason jar).
Please tell me you are already doing this, or will in the future.
You have a "talent" here that you really need to capitalize on before the world crumbles into dust!
I harvest honey but sell it out very regularly local. I only keep about 25 hives. More than that and they get overlooked. My primary with bees is removing them. I keep some up to my limit. The others go to new beeks or friends that I help out. When that slows down, I intend to go full production and just enjoy making honey.
And that’s why they call us whack-o! Nice job!
You are like the bee whisperer. If you had a show on Nat Geo I would watch it
I do not have the passion for tacos that this man does for bees. And I love tacos.
Amazing work
Honeybees are too freaking awesome. I love planting flowering plants to attract honey bees and other bees to come over and visit
I don't think I'm quite sure I'm really having a hard time with this. . . . Are you sure you love this?😜
Your videos are awesome!
Thank you.
This is fascinating to watch.
This guy is so brave! But you have to have this certain calm and don’t be Afraid they can smell the fear! I love 🐝 and have lil houses for my carpenter bees even.
That's so cool I never thought that bees were so gentle
Oh man. I gotta get a hive made. I so much hope, that I can manifest a swarm this summer, as I (or whatever) seems to have manifested me wanted, and unwanted, things many times during my long life. I probably won't bee able to record it, but I promis, I will go all in for the "I ain't afraid of you fellows" aproach, inspired by your teachings. Thanks for the reminder. :)
"I'm a trained idiot!" 🤣
My way of saying don't try this at home.
You make beekeeping exciting.
i love your vibes
This is incredible
even though I am allergic to bees we need people like you to save them cuz it's about our bees we assuming our screwed
I love me some Yappy...."Come on girls.Get in there" and they march right in. 🐝🐝🐝
That's right....free room and cable available!!
Thanks for sharing this insightful video. Wishing you and your family a blessed week. Peace brother
Title: I put my hand up their Beez-ness
HOW did you see that queen so fast in that huge mass of wiggly little beasties????? My queen has a nice big red dot on her and I still can’t spot her that fast! 😂
Looks like another 'Yappy Bee Man Strikes Again' to me. Video at 11. GBWYou!
Insane eye for the queen!!
Wow, that was so cool!!🎉
Gotta love a swarm!!!! Thanks Yappy!!!

There ya go!!! I love the passion with the bees Yappy!!!
Who knew they could bee this much fun when we were growing up. Lol
Your videos are beautifull, sir. What a nature in a purity. Does a Queen sting? Keep doin" and greetings from Czech Republic.
Great question. I have never been stung by one so I can't say the don't. But it is said they can.
Im ADDICTED i cant stop watching and liking every video 😂
My favorite comment to date!!!!! Thank you
Yappy, I would name it “How to Damage a $40k Truck for a $40 Queen or a $140 swarm”. lol I could hear sheet the metal popping or was it saying “get this crazy man off of me”! That’s quite alright Juarus Rawls at Ronnie Watkins’s Ford will be happy to sell you another one!
Interestingly enough......he's a great friend and contented me to who I did buy this truck from.
@@YappyBeeman I’ve bought a couple of SUVs from him.
Title "A Queen in one" lol. That was quick.
You should do it in an empty hive holding it nearer to the tree, and fill it after you shake the bees inside. ;)
YB: Let’s catch that big ol boody queen
The bees: Calm
Me: Literally walking in a 10 Mile radius
The bees: Attak
