Also for anyone not very knowledgeable in firearms, The Desert Eagle has multiple variants that shoot different calibers. There’s a .44 Magnum, .357 Magnum, and .50AE. Now .50AE is not the same as a .50BMG. So while they are both “50 caliber” the BMG has far more power behind it. The .50AE (to my knowledge) is not used in any sniper due to it being a pistol caliber so Papa is incorrect in saying it’s the same round used in snipers. A .50BMG is so powerful it is classified as an “anti-material round” as it can slide through solid concrete like paper. The main difference too is that .50AE is a pistol cartridge while .50BMG is a rifle cartridge. Regardless, they are extremely powerful and these stunts should not be done like this or at all. No matter the cartridge, don’t shoot at someone you dont intend to kill. This guy was a fan of guntubers like FPSRussia, Brendon Herrera, and Demolition Ranch but at least Brendon and Demo have safety standards they have for their videos. They may do goofy things like how many blocks of cheese can stop a bullet but the difference is, they are shooting from behind cover towards empty areas, and the bullets are striking ballistics gel or mannequins or fake human gel bodies.
A small correction: A Desert Eagle doesn't shoot a sniper bullet. It shoots .50 AE and not .50 BMG (which has roughly 10x the energy). Still very strong for a handgun, 3-4x the energy of 9mm.
@@coolwhiptaillizardIf you're talking about what I'm thinking of, then no. The dude who got shot was saying something along the lines of "you wanna see my ippy?", rather than just outright threatening someone.

The main danger of the plane crashing into the wilderness is not the one hiker that might be there, it's that a plane is full of fuel and you're putting all that in the middle of some dry grass in a very dry and hot enviroment. If that plane would've caught fire (which was very likely in a freaking crash) that would've been a forest fire

Hey, just an fyi, the desert eagle actually shoots a bullet called .50 AE (Action Express) the caliber that most people think of when they hear .50 is the .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun) the .50 AE is about 1.6 inches long whereas the .50 BMG is just shy of 4 inches long, big difference in actuality though it's a tiny difference within the naming conventions, love the content keep up the good work
None of them probably had any gun safety training or experience. When you don’t, you have no clue about guns. You believe what the movies show, until shown real shit.
Maybe they thought it was an airsoft or bb gun? I also wouldn't believe anyone would be dumb enough to think a book could stop a .50 calibre bullet. I don't know, I'm just trying to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I would have given it a "hey that's a terrible idea and you shouldn't do that" and after they wrote it off a quick "well I tried" as I watched someone ruin a perfectly good encyclopedia.
@Interdacted I mean sure, but I would have at least said: “why am I here watching a snuff film being made?” And walked away from every idiot on the scene. Thats just me though.
Donnie Darko was originally supposed to be a youtube prank from "IDropJetEngines" but it turned into a "What if it didn't happen" style movie, but sadly the jet engine did fall into his room and directly onto Donnie, crushing him into what firefighters called "Basically salsa."
I've got over 500 starts and I indeed always took a parachute with me, but the seats in a glider are not comfy without. And therefor, no, one must not leave a plane for the loss of engine power. Every plane is able to glide down safely, even STOL ones.

Juat to give an idea of how big a .50cal bullet is, .50 cal is half an inch wide. The Desert Eagle can be chambered in .50AE (action express). It isn't .50 Browning Machine Gun, but it's still a big bullet.
the reason the plane was a big deal is the environmental damage crashing a plan has, Av gas has lead, he also could've cause a wildfire due to hot engine and fuel/oil. and the first thing i was thought with firearms is to never point it at anything you don't want to destroy
Theres a highschool friend i knew that filmed himself smashing a drink over a homeless guys head in mcdonalds. He got caught and did 6 months , hamilton Canada. Video is on youtube somewhere , sketchy Joe was the guys name no joke
20:12 The desert eagle can be chambered in 50AE which is already exponentially smaller than the 50BMG that a 50 cal sniper or machine gun would use.
Worst thing about these pranks is that if you end up being at the wrong spot at wrong time you are done.
A small correction: A Desert Eagle doesn't shoot a sniper bullet. It shoots .50 AE and not .50 BMG (which has roughly 10x the energy). Still very strong for a handgun, 3-4x the energy of 9mm.
