I'm wondering is the city in this context recognized as the airport code or any city in the same state, or the state? For example, can one theoretically do SYD - LAX - JFK - LHR - EWR - SFO - SYD [all stopovers lasting above 24 hours]? In this example, both LAX and SFO is in California and are about 1 hour flight apart. They're different cities, so wondering if would that be OK?
You can have 5 stopovers with more than 24 hrs, and need to complete the entire trip in 12 months. So you could spend months in a "town" if you wanted to. Open your ears... listen.
