I’m so glad she’s finally getting her recognition, she did an amazing job
Exactly she did amazing. She was the best part of the new scream 6 and Gale Courtney Cox ♥️♥️♥️
@@reginoramos9030 I agree good character and good chemistry with Jenna Ortega.
And now Hollywood has thrown her away (well, at least the Scream execs). 😢
Melissa Barrera cemented herself as a powerhouse in this film. Such a strong lead
Agreed!
She's so well spoken and handles sensitive topics with ease and authenticity!
So proud of her and the diverse cast in this iconic franchise.
same!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Feels almost forced lol
@@Manu-gf3yl bla bla
@@Manu-gf3ylno it doesn’t. But thank you for showing your true colors
@@Manu-gf3yl no it doesn’t, quit crying
I'm so proud of her! She deserves it all! Hard worker conquering, what's new? 😊
Who is the anchor talking at 0:00?
@Villainy Outsider You're entitled to your irrelevant and non factual opinion. The prove is in the pudding, and all of her success is not for nothing.
Melissa is absolutely incredible and extremely talented! She’s deserves all the recognition in the world. She’s going places and as a Scream fan since I was 6 years old, I’m grateful we have her apart of the franchise. A beautiful, bad ass Latina woman leading a successful huge franchise with such a humble spirit. ❤
@Villainy Outsider what’s a joke is you taking the time to write that, how about u grow up.
look at this girl getting recognition! so proud of Melissa, she shined in Scream 6!
There's been lots of praise sent Jennas way and rightly so brcause she's phenomenal but Melissa deserves just as much of that praise. I loved her so much in this movie and the two of them together is magic
@@DocDarkness jenna overrated
@@dariuschisholm7317 Your opinion is noted and summarily ignored.
@@DocDarkness shut it up
When 5 came out all my friends were gushing over Jenna and said Melissa was wooden and I felt the opposite, I actually didn’t like Tara as a character but loved Sam, and this time I came around to liking Tara and all my friends like Sam now, I prefer 5 but 6 is good too and it’s pretty great seeing my favorite horror franchise make a successful comeback, and it’s nice to see all Melissa’s haters eat their words in the end, must feel very vindicating for her
Who hates her fine ass
When scream V came out, I wasn't too keen on Melissa Barrera. However, with scream VI she stepped it up and I was heavily impressed!
Glad this icon is getting the love she deserves. Love u Melissa!!
This was such an amazing movie. 💜
She makes one bad ass action star.
She's very mature and well-spoken, reminds me a lot of Neve
Well she is almost 30.
She was great in Scream 5 & 6 as well as In The Heights ❤
I hate the race baiting of the interviewer. She answered those beautifully.
She's a sweetheart ❤️
I’m so proud of her !❤
You know there isn't an agenda with casting when you don't care what color the skin is of the actors. I didnt even notice and couldn't care less. I fell in love with them because they are well written and acted. That's how you do it Hollywood! Don't force people into roles simply to check diversity boxs. Write roles and cast the best actors to fill them regardless of ethnic background. We're all people at the end of the day.
Melissa played Sam amazingly in Scream 6. A truly fun watch at the movie theater
Proud of Melissa for her performance in scream 6, she proved the haters wrong!!!
I am so proud of Melissa glad that she getting her recognition
hard work is paying off for her. she did an amazing job as sam in scream 6
I admit I didn't like her much in Scream 5 but in Scream 6 she did such an amazing job that I finally started viewing her as a main character.
Sam is the best character in this movie
Exactly she put out her best performance in this one this time around. Yes better than Jenna Ortega.
I agree and the actress puts in more effort than most of teh actors but they are all good
@Villainy Outsider okay kid hahahaha
@Villainy Outsider no, amber was so annoying
@Villainy Outsider anyways
The interviewer was great for this!
Who’s else wants Melissa Barerra who’s playing Sam in scream 2022 and scream 6 to be in Wednesday season 2 because Jenna Ortega and Melissa Barerra were both in scream 2022 and scream 6 as sisters as Sam and Tara in scream movies started with scream 2022,also known as scream 5 and scream 6 that was out march 10/2023.
She’s beautiful
Go Melissa!! Speaking Disney & Marvel projects into your future!
My favorite S6 interview so far!
She’s impressive.
Amazing movie. Best theater experience so far this year. Absolutely fun
She is so smart 🤩
She ah beautiful, very much so TALENTED Actress💯 most definitely kilt that role & I most definitely wanna see more of you #Scream7
She’s a great actress
BEYOND PROUD OF MELISSA SO HAPPY THE SCREAM FANS ARE EMBRACING HER AS OUR NEW FINAL GIRL AS THEY SHOULD! SHE DESERVES THIS MOMENT ♥️
I actually love Sam and tara more than I thought. both Melissa and Jenna both slayed in scream alongside kirby
I love melissa
Amazing movie
Latinos Stand up 🇲🇽 !!!!!
I’m so glad
Love her
You know a thought occurred to me back during the first Scream 1996 or the second Scream movie 1997 if a main character like a Latino, Latina, Black, or Asian it would have raised a lot of eyebrows and their would be a lot of hate and racism I'm South American Paraguayan so I guess I can relate but I had no hate or racism in my life but I grew up in American and I live in Vermont but I bet Melissa has faced racism and hate in her life in the acting business she doesn't and doesn't have to talk about but you can it hurts her but she seems very strong about it.
I loved scream 6.
*I missed Neve in Scream 6 and the lack of Gale*
They don’t need nerve no more. It was getting ridiculous how she kept getting attacked by ghostface. Gale needs to go too
I agree with her movies are comfort and escapism.
LOVE HER
Scream 7 should take place in Toronto
❤
That seems like a interesting movie to watch, the other ones were rather entertaining.
She didn't have to slay this hard
It's BARRERA put some respect on our last name
The thumbnail makes it seem like ghostface is real 😂😂😂
She is so beautiful 🥰🤩 i m in love with her
Impressive answer to that race-baiting question, let people just be humans. Stop always making it about race. She is a phenomenal actress on her own merit, not just bc she’s Latina in a lead role. For Christ sake, let people be who they are.
- coming from a mixed, gay man before you attack me
Exactly I'm gay too and she answered the question Great fully
Like what Melissa said to this woke ass interview.
What is woke???? You dumb right wingers make no sense at all. Lol
You know Melissa kind of resembles Georgina Rodriguez the Argentinian Influencer, model, and socialite who married Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo both Georgina and Melissa are very gorgeous and beautiful for me it's tie.
Love her❤❤
Finally an interview of the cast from the new Scream movie that doesn't include Jenna Ortega
omg, are you serious?
@A Smith I don't care who she can't or can pass for, that's your narrow minded point of view. Keep it.
@A Smith First of all, they're both Mexican and with the same skin color, second I have Mexican in me as well, and third I can really care less about her ethnicity, that's not why, it's because she's literally everywhere and it's starting to get extreamly annoying.
@A Smith There is no need to extrapolate your fantasies onto me.
A win for diversity a meh for the storyline but hey I’ll watch it anywayzzz🎉🎉
@ASMITH2022!! Are you demented? It’s disgusting how entitled you have the audacity to behave. I dare you to pull this in public 😂😭 coward you wouldn’t have the gull- Pathetic! I’m not about to argue with someone who probably doesn’t have a high-school degree and practices incest gtfo
For fucks sake, the least realistic thing about the movie was entering A BODEGA for cripes sake and not immediately..I mean IMMEDIATELY…locking the door when two girls come in screaming and obviously scared.
Like bodegas are hotbeds for shootings and stabbings in NYC. And a guy with a knife is gonna come in and take out everyone? This obviously wasn’t the Bronx. That Scream mask would’ve had Timberland boot marks all over it from getting curb stomped by all the guys in there.
But otherwise EXCELLENT movie.
only the first one was good ... how many sequels will they make ? ;)
This new one has broken box office records for the franchise. Clearly, people are into it. If you don’t like it, move on.
She’s a babe
I love it we finally have representation ❤❤
The only thing I remember is Drew Barrymore screaming in the original.
And Micheal Myers?
A family of killers.... Really...

So the Coloreds survived? We've arrived ppl 😂
Ghostface can be ANYONE.. but it’s always the obvious people with little to no character development!
This movie was not good. Liked the 5th better. This one is next to the 3rd movie. Disappointing smh
Me when I’m a fucking retarded
Scream 3 is way better than 4
Worst scream of the franchise.
Me when I'm wrong
@@CGamez-re3hu watch all the screams back to back and you'll see the quality of 5 and 6 just isn't there, doesn't hold a candle to original trilogy.
@@Liberal_From_Prairies689 Scream 1996 is a classic and there wasn't a great Scream since then until 6.
Stfu go watch the original if you don't like 6 😇
Oh well everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even if the opinion is wrong.
She isn't very bright on the topic of diversity and it's disappointing for her to just say "That's not the discourse." Yeah babe it's the discourse you don't want to talk about. Lol. Horror movies have historically excluded minorities/killed us off violently. It's okay to not be educated on history, but she shouldn't be dismissing the topic. Shame
EDIT:
I agree that her question was answered gracefully. I didn't say it was a wrong answer, I was just expecting a more detailed answer and was hoping she spoke more about it in the sense of the history of minorities being excluded from the genre.
What are you talking about? She gave a great answer. She talked about how it doesn’t feel like tokenism and how she was chosen because she was fit for the role due to her skills not just because of her ethnicity, that’s a great way to show representation.
@@aleczavala5010 Right but part of having representation is addressing the issues that have been present for a long time. When you have that privilege you need to speak on it and not dismiss it.
@@thejonavarkofficial Plenty of people both in and out of the industry have addressed in recent years. And besides she’s already addressed it fully in a different interview with Ventaneando. How she faced discrimination and what steps have been taken by production to prevent it in the future. ua-cam.com/video/5fwejffueEs/v-deo.html
@@aleczavala5010 I'm talking about horror movies specifically. Also she was In The Heights (?) or West Side Story i don't remember which one but she had an interview where she also made an ignorant comment on latinidad and intersectional diversity in the latinx community
@@thejonavarkofficial This is the first I’ve heard of this, but remember, she’s not perfect, there’s still room to grow and she can talk about more topics in detail whenever she feels more comfortable.
Very pretty
