Not necessarily. I may be remembering watching the show, it wastn't nearly as emotional as when I got to the point IRL. Anyone not watching it does NOT need to watch the original scene.
As much as I love Rob, its clear a lot more time and work went into Ray's version and I think it pays off. Rob's was fantastic with the time and little to no context he was given, but Ray's is truly phenomenal.
As a composer and violinist. This puts me in a positive perspective towards improvisation as I notice similar traits when he is thinking about notes and how the melody should go. Bravo great job well done!
Mr. Landes, this is how to teach childern to have an appreciation for music. Start them as babies listening to classical, they will grow into their genres but understanding what can be done with the masters...maybe evening to choose to play themselves.
Saw this type of content over on Drumeo a while back and i absolutely love it‼️ I don't play an instrument - shit is like magic to me and the violin mine as well be a foreign language BUT I'll watch anything Rob does because every single video always makes me happy🥞
That feels like a heavy lift for anyone and Rob did great, especially consider how open the song feels. I remember first hearing it and knocked over by how economical Ray was at the start and the how glorious and soaring it was in almost direct opposition of what we're seeing on screen. Other storytellers or musicisians might have stepped on that moment with something bigger instead these strings that almost pleading for the vents on screen to stop.
I don't play games anymore but that is a very nice song they created. May I say you did a great job with your own version of it & because we all know you are ridiculously talented we had no doubts. Always keep up the great work 👍🏻
@argentdawn Well I don't have any other social medias other than UA-cam and I don't consider that social media not really. Besides movies, TV shows and UA-cam people I've been subscribed to keep me plenty entertained when I'm not reading in addition to I have other activities I like other than games.
@@-RONNIE That's like saying you don't want to try steak because you're happy eating pasta. Variety, my guy, and don't deprive yourself of new experiences because you find yourself comfortable in your routine.
@@argentdawn Don't get me wrong I did play games when I was younger but as an adult I didn't play a lot I just got tired of it for some reason. I think the last game I played was Ghost of Tsushima but that's when it first came out & nothing ever since.
@twosetviolin would LOVE to see you guys do this! Especially for each to listen separately and do their parts and see how they sound compared. First song in arcane season 2 is gorgeous to do if you haven't seen it! Back to this: first time seeing this for violin. I usually watch the drumeo ones and one piano (John Batiste). Violin is perfect for this as well... allows us to see/hear the musicianship and individuality or thr person shine through and also what is in common with the original because it musically "makes sense" :)
It is an impossible task to compete with Ray Chen with sheets. Doing so blind on the spot for a piece of work that took months is, well, impossible. Well done for a fun rendition.
There is a streamer named Bagelrabbit on twitch, she listens to music and plays to it without having heard it before all the time and she does really well, this was very cool though a bit different.
I just listened to the original, and not gonna lie I like Rob's version more! The violin acts like the 2nd voice of the song, and it's utterly beautiful ❤
Goodness...watching this really threw me back to my Sr year of high school. Silly choral musical me thought I'd want to take every musical class I could and tried taking Music Theory...😑 Bit of a mistake for someone who didn't play an instrument aside from her vocal chords. Kudos for following and improvising!!

Am I the only one who thinks that violin just isn't suitable for this song. Nothing against his amazing performance, just that the sound of the violin clashes with the song.
How can he match a scene he's not watching? He can only go by what he's hearing and there's definitely a cinematic feel and a build up and a foreboding tone to the song... also Ray would have seen the scene so he knows where the visuals are happening, when the rocket is fired etc... and when there is no dialogue and the music is centre stage.

This song absolutely stole the show, by far the best song of the series.
I agree it's a great song but 'guns for hire' when Jinx lights the flare is my personal favourite piece and scene

I love the violin in this piece it gives me chills everytime. I always wondered why no one requested this on Omegle, I would’ve
I actually highly enjoy the original and Rob's rendition as well. And it's because each has it's purpose and place, but neither walks on the other.

Phenomenal. Love this song and soundtrack. One of my favorites and for never hearing it Rob, you did an amazing job
Why would you cut apart the part when Rob is listening to the original. That was the best part!
Probably cause of copyright
Agreed, would have been amazing to be able to see the whole reaction but understandable that it isn't worth the risk
Its a sting song isnt it?? Definitely copyright 😂
Totally Agree on this!

Bravo Rob, a true master of your art! Triumphant!!!
What a legend !
This song is full of emotion.
And he describe it by itself and that so powerfull improved with it's violin impro !!
Thanks 🙂
Love the echoing of the vocal line after or switching to the anticipating of the melody early like foreshadowing... beautiful ascending climbs there.

What an awesome concept! Im confused how youtube's algorithm didnt show me this sooner. Bravo - enjoyed the violinist's take on the song.
Wow so perfect Rob youre a superstar
