I discovered the art of pan frying my steaks about 4 years ago during a bad winter snow. Wanted steak but the grill on the patio was buried in snow. Tossed two sirloins in my cast iron pan with a little Montreal seasoning and a little butter. Slow cooked them!! Then I put onions and cut mushrooms in the pan after. Simply heaven. Love your videos sir!

Boy, do I agree with Daddy Jack about iceburg lettuce. The current wave of food snobs turn their noses up when it is served but it really does make a great salad. The thing is, you don't have to put everything down just because it is so prevalent. Maybe it is prevalent because it is good eating. There should be room for a full range of food in our diets. I've come to eat and enjoy the whole new wave of salad greens - Romaine, Boston Lettuce, Frisee, Radiccio, Endive and all the rest. There is still plenty of room for the tried and true.
