On Moto Control channel you will find videos about motorcycles, motorcycle riding techniques, tips & tricks and online motorcycle training for beginner and advanced riders!
A little info about me. My name is Andrei Bodrov, originally I'm from Moscow, Russia, and now I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Back in Moscow I was a motorcycle instructor and creator of Moto Control Beginner & Advanced motorcycle rider courses, which quickly became the most popular courses in Moscow (well, at least the advanced one😁). My advanced training course makes emphasis on slow speed riding techniques at first (such as good clutch and throttle control, proper riding posture, proper use of vision, etc.), then proceeds to more advanced techniques (such as aggressive braking, trail braking, maximal lean angle). The course incorporates a lot of exercises from DOSAF slow speed riding (similar to police rodeo like motorcycle training in USA), braking and cornering exercises and motogymkhana style riding. And now, since I actively learn English - I decided to post some useful videos for both your and mine practice!😉

Since everyone writes this, it's necessary, I suppose 🤷, so here we go. Disclaimer: Ride at your own risk, you are responsible for your own safety. Me, Andrey Bodrov and my channel, Moto Control disclaim any liability incurred in connection with the use of riding techniques from this channel. Use common sense, wear full protective gear and ride in a safe and predictable manner!
Your English and instruction is clear and excellent. I share them with beginner riders who need advice because you explain things so well. Glad you are safely in Buenos Aries.
You are in Buenos Aires now Andrey; good for you mate; all the best!
I plan to do my bike test on a Honda shadow, thanks for the tips and all your content, it’s really amazing quality!
Good luck with the test!
So glad to see a new video from you. Like many of your other subscribers, I'm sure, you're one of my "go-tos" whom I rewatch because your content is that good -- always succinct and full of useful information. Safe travels and be well.
Good video with clear instructions. Your English is better and more easily understood than most inner-city people or people living rural mountain communities.
Glad to see you're back in action.
Love your videos. I hope it all goes well for you in Argentina
Yes very useful advice, as always, many Thanks
The video is great and your English is excellent. I had a question about counter balancing at speed, and you answered it.
Hoping for more of your videos now that you are in Argentina.
Köszönjük!
Thank you!😊
@@MotoControlEn You're very welcome.
I thank you for your work.
I learn a lot from your videos.
I have a heavy bike (Kawasaki Voyager)
Oh, my favorite big cruiser! Respect!😁
@@MotoControlEn Thx 😉🤘
I just returned from riding the forested hills, opened YT, and i was very surprised to find this video!!! Excellent that you are continuing with the videos and tutorials. Pretty soon you will be presenting them in Spanish.....with an Argentine accent! 🇦🇷 😁
That's the plan 😄
Very well described. Thank you!
Thank you for these helpful tips!
Very good instructor .Your English is good my friend!
Good video sir you always do a great job with your explanations and tips!
I think I only ever use counterbalancing when I need the bike to tip more quickly. The slalom part of a gymkhana course comes to mind.
It effectively trades turn radius (for the same lean angle) for agility.
In starting out on a 1500cc and it's super heavy.....I'm not going to lie I think I messed up but I'll try🙏
Goodluck!
@@johnbaptise2262 thank you!
Very helpful tips. spasibo, comrade. Good escape from Mordor, by the way.
Good stuff!
Thank you and I hope you are ok...
My best wishes to you my friend
Thanks for your excellent tips !
Great vid. Thanks for sharing.
Sehr gut erklärt und angenehme Stimme 👏👍🇨🇭.
Thank you!
Soooooo.......... Clutch, huh? It's great though, thank you for that. I am actually riding a 250cc and looking to upgrade to something bigger - this helped a lot!
Nice ! Looks like your on my bike. C50 boulevard
this is very helpful! Thank you! After decades of riding a small 250cc bike, i bought the Kawasaki, you drive. The difference of handling is bigger than expcted.
noka, bpaT!
Hi Andrey. Great video as usual and perfect for me as I'm learning to ride a 2011 Yamaha XVS650 Cruiser.
What type of bike are you riding in this video? And, would you say clutch control on full lock turns is as important on my bike compared to yours??
Glad you're back on UA-cam. 🙂
Hi! In the video it's Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Classic. And clutch control the s always important, on any bike. I haven't rode XVS650, but I tried XVS1100. It seems that it's engine likes to rev a little bit more than usual, it doesn't pull on low RPM. Maybe 650 has the same character. Or maybe not :)
I have 32° rake on a low rider with buckhorn handlebars and a lumpy cam with carb. Plan ahead.
Turning in a narrow lane on a slope with a heavy inexperienced pillion either takes practice or just don't do it.
Vídeo excelente! 👏 👏 👏 Brazil
Just bought my cruiser. I’m a new rider, when I mean new I mean NEW NEW 😅. I think your channel will help me. I’ve just subscribed to your channel. What videos can you recommend for me to watch here in your channel
English sounds good brother
Has lean angle of a bike any impact on those tips? I have cruiser with only 24 degree lean angle and very often scraping pads when cornering that makes my turns wider than I wish even at low speed. Does it mean I have to go even slower than that or can I use any other trick for “non scraping” turns? Thank you!
If you're going fast enough, you can move your upper body to the inside of the turn, that buys you a few °, but at low speeds it might also create its own problems.
I think I own ur boulevard c109rt I bought it used
👍
Where im from, cone distance for straight line slalom cone weave is set according to the distance from the rear tire to the front tire. Any tips for those tight cone weaves? I often knock down cones with the rear of the bike.
Yes, it's very common problem. You need to do 2 things: make a wider swings (tip your bike more) and try to dip the bike closer to the next cone (in other words don't hurry to dip the bike, give it a little time to clear the cone). Hope it helps 🙂
Good tips. But, about 30% of the turns you can hear he’s leaning too far and bike is scraping the ground. Not something you want to be doing.
Welcome to not Russia!
Gracias!😁
