    Really beautiful slippy, the materials used are awesome and the fit and finish is crazy good. That hollow grind looks amazing something I wish would come back to all EDC knives in general. Thanks for the look see Kevin and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

    If I bought one I would never use it because slip joints just aren't my thing. But that is by far the best one I've ever seen and that hollow grind looks amazing. I'm sure it will sell out no problem.

    Between you and Ben this is going to be an expensive week for me. The fit and finish on these knives is perfect. The leather slip is a nice little add on. I have not been excited for a slippie in a very long time. I am going back and forth with myself about which scales to go with.

    They are nice looking knives. I was able to check them out at Blade Show Texas this year. It’s a shame they are sold as-is with no formal warranty. So, a new product with no warranty. It states it right on their website.
    If they can’t stand behind their product by proving a formal warranty period, I don’t feel comfortable purchasing it. What a shame.

    • @BenBelkin

      Hi Eric, I wrote a really long reply to you but I don't know where it went so I will try again. I 100% stand behind my products, and pledge to provide the best customer service I possibly can. What good does a formal warranty do if the company who wrote it provides terrible service? Or does not agree with how you interpret their warranty? Are you going to sue a company to warranty your knife? This is not likely. What I said on my site is, I inspect every knife before it enters your hands, to ensure you are getting something satisfactory built in proper working order. That I will assess every customer service request personally, on a case by case basis. And depending on the problem, I can offer different solutions. If the problem dictates it, these solutions will be at no cost to you. But in the case of misuse, there may be reasonable fees involved to resolve your problem. Or perhaps I will still try to solve your problem at no cost to you. In essence this is the same as an excellent warranty. Now please realize, If I were the actual manufacturer I would view this differently, because I have more control over the process. But because I am an arms length away from the manufacturer, I do not feel comfortable offering a formal warranty because I don't want to make promises I cannot keep. However, I do feel comfortable giving my word that I will do everything in my power to make a customer's issue right with them, as there are many options to achieve that. And I do have access to the manufacturer for repairs and other things of that nature. I hope this better illustrates my position and gives you some confidence. Thank you for reading. Ben

      @Signwave Sign "Arms length" in the sense of the business phrase, but you are not wrong that it is an ocean indeed.

    • @LeftyEDC

      If my opinion means anything to you, you can 100% believe Ben will stand behind his product. Plus he personally inspects everyone and is a nitpicky bastard like me. You have nothing to worry about if you buy one.

    My guess is these are made by JE Made knives. Super similar, they're in the slip joint space and their fit and finish are the only thing out there that comes to mind that is on this level of quality besides Pena but his are done by Reate.

I'm sure many will believe they are oem specially when it's built like one. But some chinese manufactures will just be weird like that. To be honest I really don't care as long as the knives are built well and works good, and these looks to be freaking amazing and I can't wait to get one. Thanks for the look Kev.

    I’ve been enjoying the channel for a few weeks. Nice work, but man, you gotta find a better way to show hollow grinds. Stop using round items like pens, pencils, and markers. Maybe try something with a flat narrow edge, like the edge of the ruler.

    • @LeftyEDC
      @LeftyEDC  2 роки тому

      😂 yea idk in the moment i don’t think about it and always grab that damn pencil

  • @paulthelefty
    @paulthelefty 2 роки тому

    This is in jest… so let me start with that. First you say I like the slip, but I’m not sure I like the color. And I’m probably gonna go buy a slip. Then you complain because other manufacturers don’t give you a slip, so that way you can go buy your own slip and get it in whatever color you want. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I really wish this wasn’t made in China. I think I’m probably going to buy one anyway at some point, but I have to resolve that in my brain. So far these seem to be perfect out of the box, which wasn’t the case with the Tactile stuff. Which is another thing that I have to try and resolve… Why is a China made knife that cost $100 more better than the USA made knife?

    • @LeftyEDC
      @LeftyEDC  2 роки тому

      So for the slip thing its nice because i can carry it while i have the slip made. Doesn’t sit on my desk in the meantime. Also what i think is cool for consumers doesnt always equal what i do so its awesome that most ppl get a slip and probably just use that. I will always get a custom slip. The price is different because its made much better and more precisely also with more/different materials adding the inlay. And the blade grind and finishing work alone make up the $75 difference not mentioning the amazing packaging. Tactile send the bexar in a foam box by itself. Hope that helps. Obv to each their own but i did put my money where my mouth is and bought a black micarta and natural micarta one yesterday

    • @BenBelkin
      @BenBelkin 2 роки тому

      Hey Paul, if you get them both in hand you will see the differences in fit and finish which boils down to the skilled hand labor involved in the production. That will be the biggest difference. My knife if made in the USA would have to cost $500 to the customer. Of course also to consider, Tactile Turn is a manufacturer so they have one less middle man involved in their business model. In my case, there is the manufacturer, the dealers, and me.

    • @LeftyEDC
