Bill Finegan at 16 yrs old was a trumpet player with Glenn when the band started in '37 , I knew Bill and his wife Rose (my voice teacher for 5+ yrs), in the late 70's to early 80's Bill was one of the greatest jazz writers and arrangers that ever lived, I've always felt honored to have known him personally for over 20 yrs.I'm still in touch with his son Jamie who is a writer arranger and teacher at Fairfield University in Fairfield,CT.
