Same here! A catholic padre told me once: you may not be religious, but you’re a spiritual person. Thank you Bill for being a permanent source of inspiration 🙏
I hope you see this Bill - I know this is late. I don't know how I missed this in my feed. Thank you for the song, the title, for getting a few conversations going, and especially your amazing replies to some of the comments. They are great examples for others to learn from and follow. And by others, I would put myself at the top of that list.
All Creation declares His glory, and the Universe, His majesty. He looks straight into the heart of the worshiper and blesses both the just and the unjust.
Given this beautiful, rough, ambient music, and relaxed performance, and Chords of Orion's music in general, which celebrates the beauty and joy of life, i come to the same conclusion as you Bill: God approves. What i find remarkable is the short list of things that you celebrate in your music. The presentation and intention is the same as something i published in my scrapbook, a snippet of which here: "Things that are beautiful, and that are wonderous, and that are miracles of our planet: ... list ... Why? Above all, it revitalizes the joy and wonder of being alive on planet Earth. Always. Even if you were to be the last human to survive, Even when you're conditioned never to forgive yourself, Even when you, as a living human, are in the deepest abyss, Yes, even when you desperately need your Shepherd to bring you home."
This is so beautiful Bill. Thanks 🙏 That gorgeous fat hollow body sound made the piece almost burst into a supernova outbreak. Combined with the restrained tasteful playing, this was one mighty reminder of the possibility that God do perhaps exist.
That tomb was empty, just like He said it would be. That's enough for me. Like a friend of mine once said, "If you can find someone who can predict his own death *and* resurrection, *and* pull it off, I'd go with him." :D :D :D
An absolutely lovely piece, as usual - congrats Bill. One thing I'd like to ask about is the drums - which are highly unusual on Frippertronics/ambient looping stuffs. My big question is whether the drums synchronised to the loop, or are they running independently of one another? The music layers are so dense I can't actually tell - it just sounds amazing. Also, are the drums from Logic Pro or elsewhere? There isn't anything listed in your hardware list, but then there isn't a D'Angelico either...
The drums are the Logic Pro Drummer. They are not synced to the loop - I just set up the drums and then played the piece listening to the drums, but not trying to stay exactly in time. Sorry about the missing D'Angelico in the comments!
God approves. God cannot be defined because of its infinite potential but from what is apparent, God is original, present, and for-planning as the ubiquitous and only entity. This universe is fundamentally music. Material dancing to the one and only song. Our songs are the present echos of this perfect being.
Definitely He does. Also, I wish you’d review the Ed O’Brien Sustainer Stratocaster. I bought one and really like it. I think the sustainer pickup in it is like the EBow you’re using here.
I'd love to borrow one to try it out, but can't quite get myself there to buy one. I think it is very different from an EBow. Not better or worse - just different.

@@chordsoforion We all know in this country “God” is code talk for Jesus. Say what you really mean. First of all, you are not "rando". You are a person of immense value that God has created in his image and worthy of respect and love. You being concerned for children dying of cancer seems to be canard in my view (unless you are taking action to improve their lot).
