Many thanks for watching! What are you favourite chord progressions?
I don’t really know enough to have a progression favorite. I am still trying to figure cords in sheet music I play, band play sheet music as written. Maybe I should stop wasting time on that and spend more time on improvising.
both the blue and this are great...looking forward for new videos and learn after this, not mind send a coffee via youtube :)
@@jasneskis So how is it going, three years later? Have you worked on improvising? I find this kind of thing really stretches and expands my playing. Far more than learning songs by rote from sheet music. (Although that is important too.)
@@dannuttle9005 unfortunately I haven’t been-laying piano at all. I switched to trying to learn to play ukulele. I should go back , review this and learn both. Improvising would be useful no matter what instrument is played.
@@jasneskis OK I was just curious. I own one..two...*counting on fingers*...several ukes. They're fun.
This is so helpful, thank you!❤
This is the first time I've seen this particular instructor, but it won't be the last. I've been playing for 8 months after spending my whole life telling people I was born with two left ears. I watched another of your videos (Tom?) and he was talking about using the piano to express the music in my head. But I don't have music in my head, I have two damaged nerves and so I have a constant buzz, mostly in one side but on both. And no music. Ear training has been my most neglected technique, and so I've gone back to noodling around with C scale to really understand what I'm doing. This video was a lightbulb moment for me. I'd been playing in the dark, and now I know what to do when I'm at the piano.
BTW I have a video out for exercises for the musician (and other people) for helping the low back, but also for the shoulders and hands.
Oh My Aching Bach.

There is a ton of stuff on the internet but this is just refreshing. Scholarship makes a whole difference to these things, really!
Thankyou Adeboye, this is exactly what we try to achieve with our approach.
Fantastic - so helpful, thanks Alberto 😊
My pleasure!
Thanks. Enjoyed your chord improvisation lesson
You're very welcome!
I needed something simple. I will try and move the idea to other keys. A great lesson for beginners trying to learn to improvise. Thank you. Keep simple tutorials coming like this so I can advance. This was not over my head. It will take a while to master. This made sense to me.
I like it a lot. I just discovered you.
More improv. Thanks.
Very useful, Alberto. Please continue along this line
Thank you for a excellent learning video
Awesome thank you❤
No problem 😊
Thank you! This was super useful! I've played backing chords to myself singing but am stuck in one single pattern and can't really improvise a lot around the chords. This was great for going back to basics and actually explore all the options.
brilliant thank you
Muy util, gracias Alberto y a seguir practicando!
Thank you I found that very helpful. A lot of improv vids are jazz based, which is fine but also ballad/new age type improvising is interesting to me.
Thanks Rod, yes true improvisation in a sense is free from any genre.
Grateful video. Thanks from Japan.
Glad you enjoyed it!
thank you so helpful! I've been playing the piano for years but never learnt much theory or improvisation so now I am trying and this is a great help
