  • 🔧 Setting Up the Warrior Sawmill in a Remote Location - No ATV or Dolly Needed!
    Description:
In this video, we take you step by step through the process of setting up the Warrior Sawmill directly over a log in a remote location. While our sawmills are designed to work seamlessly with the ATV jockey wheels or the farm dolly transport kit, this setup shows how easy it is to operate the Warrior even without these tools.
From positioning to final setup, you'll see how the Turbosawmill design makes it possible to handle tough conditions with minimal effort. Perfect for those off-grid cutting jobs where accessibility is a challenge.
📏 Watch how quickly the Warrior gets to work, making remote milling a breeze.

This is an excellent video. Thank you for showing us how easy it is to set this sawmill up. I'm currently shopping for a portable sawmill for use in some remote islands in Fiji, where the Peterson sawmill legacy began all those years ago (I just read the backstory on your website). This looks like an excellent choice for that application, though I may go for an 8" or 10" blade. I would love to know how best to setup the sawmill on sloping ground. Obviously you would fell the tree along the contour line, and I guess you would then dig down into the ground to place the upslope ends of the support structure. Is that correct? I'm planning to visit a family in Australia next week who are running a Warrior, so I have a genuine interest in your sawmills. Any info would be much appreciated.

There is lots of hands available in the Islands so this mill would be well suited to setting up over the log, yes you would need dig in on a slope, it should be pretty level during operation.

Also, what is not noted in this video, the endcaps of the posts are not welded so you can extend the skids and posts just by purchasing extra length material and some chain, for the big logs.
