    Trust me it ain't worth it! I fell from 2 stories over 20 ft straight down onto a concrete slab! Multiple surgeries and I quite literally didn't walk for over 11 months. Haven't really worked construction since and it's been very difficult to find a job that pays well. All you have in this world is your health, take care of yourself!

      I guess it depends on how you fall. I fell 2 stories from a scaffolding and only had bruising and sore ribs and my wrist was kind of f'ed up for a while, but other than that it was fine. Also it depends on what you fall on, concrete is horrible, I happened to land on lawn and gravel mix. I weigh about 120 kilos btw, if that makes an impact in any way :D

    I'd fire the asshole who loaded this little guy up....for real, who would put that much on this kids back....not to mention it is on a roof deck laid on what looks like 24 inch spaced trusses!
    There is no way this guy fared well. He would have dropped onto and through the ceiling joists with 400 plus lbs of shingles landing on him. I hope he survived and wasn't paralyzed or left permanently crippled.

Broke my ribs off of my spine so no position was comfortable and could barely breathe. I had surgery so the majority of my ribs have permanent titanium plates to hold them together while healing. Construction quality is garbage these days, you can guarantee that plywood was left out in the rain & elements softening up before they ever used it.
    Not only that but the plywood wasn't even supported where he walked.
    I'm at construction sites and i've seen their work, it's VERY crude, honestly I don't trust any modern builders.

Latinos work hard but they also work very stupidly. The key is to work smart, not hard. This kid should be in school getting an education and getting into a good college, not wasting time working this bullshit job for min wage. Okay coming at someone who's been a laborer for 5 years. This is not the move. You shouldn't be carrying that much weight on a roof anyway. The way I see it 30 maybe 40 lb maximum on top of your weight. I'm 260 I won't go over 300 and don't trust plywood walk on the ceiling joists instead of middle of plywood. I'm a pothead and I still know that it's called common sense. I understand some people lose that when it's way too hot outside in your overworked but at the end of the day your life is all you have. don't fuck it off for some idiot for minimum wage like I almost did.

    WTF? That part of the roof was not on 16in. or 2ft center. Looks more like 4ft. on center or more from the size of that hole. Guess you can cheat with the board clips.Hey, Maybe they were short 1 truss and carried on.🤣🤣🤣 But for real,hope the kids ok.

  • @kennardshire9960
    @kennardshire9960 Рік тому

    OSB is fuckin chipboard, it's just scraps of wood sruck together with glue, plywood is thin sheets of timber layer after layer. I don't know why american building practice is to use OSB, plywood is much stronger, not to mention those trusses look so far apart

  • @Chris-of6xm
    @Chris-of6xm Рік тому

    It's amazing to me that people are allowed to use OSB sheathing. I would never buy a house with OSB. I've seem too much of what happens years down the road every time regardless of any other Factor it always ends up expanded and soft what's faster is backing out and moisture getting in and all sorts of stuff. Terrible

    If he would have stayed on the hip he probably would have made it,but now he is in the hospital with 2 broken legs, amongst other injuries,an you have a huge hole in the decking an in the homeowners bedroom ceiling .Well I would that's a crappy situation,work hard,but always work smart.
