I quit drinking alcohol when I was 24. I had 2 great grandparents who died from cirrhosis of the liver and I saw myself drinking casually, but more frequently. Here I am now age 62 and I can say I never missed out on anything in life because I gave it up. It probably saved me a lot of heartache and mistakes...I had enough without alcohol anyway. I am now happier than ever.
I'm drinking a beer right now. I've drunk socially for decades. Only ever punched someone when my Judo instructor told me to do so in training. In Europe kids can drink beer and wine from 16, socially with their parents from younger than that. But people tend not to go out and get f'ed up; it's considered extremely antisocial behavior. It's very much an American (and somewhat British from what I've seen) thing. People hold out becoming 21 like it's some magically age, and everyone tries to cheat and get around it. I remember keggers in the woods. It makes alcohol some taboo to be broken. When it becomes an addiction it destroys your life. And over served? Why do they need a euphemism for "drunk"?
@@benu_bird I agree. People have been drinking alcohol for a long, long time. Anything can become an addiction. And anyone who is impaired on drugs can cause harm to themselves or others. Are you for real? A clear case of 2nd degree murder at the worst! Which in California is 15 years to life. And if he has no criminal history he will be out in 8 years! If you’re a black belt in karate you need to register your hands at the local police department as deadly weapons. Seriously, that’s true. It’s only correct to have regulations on any kind of weapon. Just common sense, this way there is a way to link a weapon in a crime to the owner. Otherwise there would be even more unsolved murders.
@@Iamsoul00 My point being that often victims are denied self defense because their attacker was unarmed. This proves that death can be inflicted by unarmed attackers as well so the argument of "why were you in fear for your life, they were unarmed?" Is categorically foolish.

@@justin1669 Yep, also it looks like a smaller, neighborhood type bar that probably serves a regular crowd of mostly familiar patrons. A place like that will rarely have bouncers or security, especially as you say on a weeknight.
The only failure is the guy who never matured enough to know how to control his emotions and impulses. According to someone who was possibly there, the suspect sucker punched the victim from behind while the other two distracted him. For all we know, they might have been pretending to be compliant, which is why the manager had his guard down. Or, the manager had been doing this for a long time and became complacent; assuming these turds were going to be as cooperative as hundreds of other people he's had to stop serving. Put the blame where it belongs, on the emotionally stunted man-child who has no impulse control and a fragile ego.
I've known several people who have legit personality transformations from alcohol. It's pretty frightening. They go from calm, normal and polite to demonic. Alcohol has varying effects, but that one is scary.
If the bar/restaurant owners didn't LEGALLY have to "babysit" grown adults on their alcohol consumption, employees wouldn't be in this position. He'll be in prison, get sued, won't be able to get a job and he'll spend the rest of his life regretting what he did one night at a bar because he was told to leave.
Even if we banned alcohol people will just get high on something else. We tried banning alcohol and it only created a mafia that made a lot of money from selling it.

Over-served is a term that’s been used in restaurants for decades. It’s not a “new” word for drunk.
Why is it that these reporters always use fancy terminology ? All the reporter had to say is the man was drunk , What good does fancy terminology do ? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!
