  • The final chapter of my 55-day thru hike of the Heysen Trail in South Australia, the longest walking trail in the country. This section saw me leaving the Adelaide Hills and finally making it down onto the Fleurieu Peninsula for the last section to Cape Jervis.
We had a few days of consistent rain after Bridgewater that left parts of the trail and campgrounds flooded. But we had to push on. Daniel and Jonathan helped me celebrate my birthday at Robinson Hill, and we finally caught sight of the coast as we hit the Wild South Coast Way.
We still got some pretty bad weather up until the final day; our last day on trail was one of the most beautiful days we'd had. Jonathan rejoined Daniel and I at our last campsite and we crossed the finish line together, despite having started out as solo hikers two months before.
Thank you for watching my Heysen Tail adventure, I hope I've inspired you to hit the trail one day!
