Honestly i really love your playing but my favorite videos are the ones with just you playing ukulele without anything else in the background. when everything you play is the only thing that's heard, and not with background guitar or ukulele to make it more full. i think it more accurately represents a song, but it takes away from your personal creativity and beauty you imbue within the music by trying your best to do it all in one piece rather than compartmentalizing each individual part of the song, and it also makes it more fun to learn those songs too.
Thank you for the feedback! Most of my arrangements still have the solo ukulele aspect, just with other instruments supporting. This song is an exception, as it’s pretty impossible to play the chords and picking on one ukulele. I’d say 95% of my arrangements are still created to be played solo, even if I add accompaniment to the videos. The tracks are there to add to the solo ukulele and not take away anything from the creation of it. I always arrange the ukulele first to how I would normally arrange it without track. Then I would add the tracks after, which I also arrange/mix/master myself so that could also be considered part of my personal creatively. The only thing I don’t have a hand in is composing the original song since it’s a cover. With that being said, I am planning to start putting the “ukulele only” version of my arrangements on my Patreon moving forward. This would be only for the arrangements that are made for solo ukulele(so not this song). Of course, you’ll still see some solo ukulele video on the YT channel too. Thanks again for the feedback.
