You are just the sweetest thing and such a genuine person. Feels like just sitting down with a friend to hear about their life (except I usually put your videos on while I’m getting chores done 😳) Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing your birthing story with us. I enjoy your channel and spirit so much.
Birth is never “easy”, it is real and raw and bring out so much vulnerability. It is a lot of work to sit through pain. I think you have such a beautiful birth story! Congratulations!
You are so right about how the difficult birth , one you had no control over because you didn’t write the story, has given you compassion and understanding for other women . I’ve had 4 , and no two births were in any way alike except for the pain and the beautiful babies that popped out! Each experience added to my store of empathy . And then postpartum depression with two of them was a whole Lot DIFFERENT story. I didn’t even know it was a thing (this was 1989 and not talked about much) so I felt like was just a sad, ungrateful, crazy, terrible mom with four amazing children . Many lessons I learned about how delicate moms are emotionally and how tough we can be on ourselves. Give everyone grace, including yourself. Let the world go by while you adore and snuggle and rest and work and feed and bask in the beauty of that precious baby boy. No one is perfect, BUT Remember this: you are the perfect mom for him and he is the perfect child for you.
The Lord was with you every step of the way, Kim. I also had a really painful and difficult and scary labor with my first child. It ended in an emergency c section, eventually, being transferred from the midwife center where I was. I was so exhausted after the birth that I passed out for the first 6 hours of my son’s life and my husband has to feed him and care for him. It was fairly traumatic for both of us. But I had another baby 14 months later and that was the easiest, stress-free birth experience I think one can have. So the Lord was kind to me in doing that for me, especially with how close the births were back to back. Back labor is the worst, I completely agree. All of this to say that you are not alone. Many women share your story with difficult births but the Lord is so faithful no matter what our birth experience is! I’m so glad that everything ended up well and you have such a beautiful baby boy 😊 Oh! And I also got that COVID test during contractions with my second 😂 isn’t it awful?! He was born during quarantine so yeah, that happened to me too.
Oh Kim, he is absolutely precious! I had Covid and spent 9 days in the hospital. So, I’ve been recovering from that among other things. I have severe iron deficiency anemia and have been having infusions for that. Please say a prayer for me and hubby. 🙏 Now, back to Callan and your beautiful family. I can’t wait to catch up on your videos! I’m so thankful he is healthy and I’m excited to watch your family grow in the videos you share. Much love! 💙
Wow! I’m sorry it was so hard but good for you for hanging in there. Giving birth is such a wonderful but difficult experience! I had the weirdest labour both times and they were long- not as long as yours by the sound of it though. I just gave birth to my second child 7 weeks ago so I’m right there with you. The recovery this time has been amazing. I had my second at home and was so much more relaxed. No matter what the experience I can say it does get better and God strengthens you even when it feels like you’re in the deepest valley. All the best as you continue in this wonderful/stretching journey called motherhood! ❤️
Since having my children I believe giving birth is the hardest work I’ve ever done but with the greatest reward. Thank you for sharing your story. You are a strong courageous woman.
Thank you for this video! I don't think I will ever be a mom myself, but everytime I hear a story like yours it makes me a little bit more compassionate towards others and that is also important in life. I am sending you all my regards and love all the way from Poland - Maria
That glow is still on your face girl😍 This is just another example of the greatness of God. God knew what your heart needed when He chose Callan for you and your husband.. Keep shining dear!!!!
Kim i love how open and real you are. Something i really struggled with emotionally was watching brand new mamas a few weeks after giving birth and seems like they have it all together and in control. After i gave birth ( which was also not how i expected it ) i had a hard time going back into pace emotionally and physically and was probably a good 2 months till i felt like i was myself again and that i had some control over my life. all the struggles of being a new mama adjusting to the new schedules and having a body thats neither pregnant or my normal body 😅 it was really hard but beautiful and im glad to hear stories like yours and totally being able to relate. to every new mama out there you got this❤
I am a mama of 4, two little girls here with me and two babies waiting with Jesus. My birth stories are not perfect but God has let me help other women close to me who have had more traumatic births or losses. Thank you for sharing your story and I pray that it can touch someone who needs it. Your baby is adorable, congrats!
God is so good! I’m due with my first baby on November 5th. I’ve heard about easy births and difficult births. Thank you for sharing this! Didn’t discourage me at all, God’s plans for us are good and perfect! May He bless you and your family 💙
Just wanted to encourage you and say don't let this first birth story scare you away from having more kids.. I too had a hard first delivery with an epidural and spinal headache. But the other 2 deliveries I had were natural, no pain medication thank God, and the last one was super fast and the easiest! You're a strong woman ! ❤
He is absolutely precious. Love those blue eyes. I love that we all can share our birth stories. And while they don’t all go as planned, sometimes they are scary; they are our own birth stories. We carried our babies for however long God intended and then they came into this world in there own unique ways. Congratulations! Welcome to the joys of motherhood!
Oh girl, wow what a story. Praise God you have healthy baby and that you are ok and doing well. I had my first baby in March and it was a 31 hr. Labor we had planned a home birth but ended up in the hospital. We had a beautiful birth and were blessed with. Baby girl. God is good !! Definitely hardest thing I have done . Those moments when they lay baby on your chest are indescribable 🥰
You’re just glowing and you have such a beautiful attitude toward your birth story, your baby, all of it! So nice! I’m really happy for you all 🥰 Enjoy every moment! Callan is so HUGE already!!
Such a beautiful birth story! God gave me several, and I had many struggles, so I can relate to moms who have difficulties. As hard as it is, I am thankful. I have three amazing children and a new grand baby. What a privilege. I am most moved by your statement of God writing our birth stories for each of us, and who are we to reject what He has for us and throw it back at him. I just love how much wisdom He has given you. What a blessing you are for His kingdom. It is great to see God carry out His purpose for our lives in so many different ways.
Thank you for sharing! I had very long labors ! First baby ended up emergency C section , last baby was 4 days and horrible assisted v back !! 36 stitches to piece me back together. I am now a grandma!!! I wish women would stop thinking they are a failure if they have medication or Epidural . Seems like epidural or meds are looked at horribly nowadays. Thank you for being honest . Showing women whatever happens it’s their delivery and their choices !! God bless !
I think, after watching many births and attending several, that it is much harder for the body to push out a small baby versus a bigger one. Congratulations on your perfect son! Your genuine appreciation for your birth story is beautiful 😍
Thank you for sharing your birth story! I love that you warned viewers not to get scared, especially first time moms, I know it can be so easy to get scared when hearing other women's birth stories. Pregnancy, Labor and postpartum are so hard but so beautiful and miraculous, in the hardest times you see the biggest blessings from God.
You are so humble and full of grace. It's a beautiful birth story when you give God the Glory for it all even though it didn't go as you hoped. He is beautiful. God Bless all of you!✝️
What is it about another Mother sharing her birth story makes Everyone else think about their own stories and even share them?😄 I have 7 children and every birth has a different story. So thankful that your baby arrived safely!! We are blessed!
TY for sharing. Each story is precious. You little one is the cutest. Children are a blessing and gift from the Lord! You did a great job and hung in there!!
Congratulations to your precious baby boy 💙 he is such a special gift from God! We got our first baby last summer and I am so very thankful for the fast and furious delivery. Thankfully we were at the Hospital when my mucus plug dropped, I had 2 hard and sudden contractions and then I had to push for 25 min. The nurses said from when the mucus plug dropped til I held my precious baby in my arms were exactly 33 min. No epidural and such so I had the full blown experience 🙈 but so worth it! That sweet little baby makes up for everything
He is so adorable! And you are correct! Everyone has a different baby story, I have 2 boys, so I have 2 different stories! You take your time with your posts! Enjoy every minute with your baby!!! 💙
Staydol did the same thing to me! I felt like I had no break cause I'd fall asleep in between contractions. So I thought I had about 7 contractions with no break before I got my epidural. I appreciate your story! Thanks for sharing
So glad all is well with your baby❤️ Please take time to enjoy him, don't worry about the house work, laundry etc. It will all get done baby, you and your husband are more important! My Granny showed me this poem when I had my twins 39 years ago. Scrubbing and cleaning can wait till tomorrow, For babies grow up ,we learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs dust go to sleep . I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep. So true enjoy all the precious moments❤️🇨🇦
So glad you did this , not for us but for you.you think you will always remember every detail , but you won’t, so here you are telling your story, and it was a beautiful one with great lessons and a gorgeous baby boy as well . Congratulations Kim, and Daryl.
Kim, your positive attitude and honesty is inspiring. I am sure many young women and moms respect you and relate to your experiences. Your baby is so cute! So happy for you and your husband! ❤️
Back labor is NO JOKE, you are not kidding!! Glad everything ended up ok. It’s good to talk about it! Sometimes talking about traumatic events can be healing. Even though childbirth is very beautiful, it can also be traumatic in a lot of ways! Good job getting through that VERY long labor!!
Beautiful Baby 👶Boy!!! Awww I love your channel!! You inspire an ole wife- momma- nana like me. You are a fantastic mom and so positive!!! Thank you from Texas!!!!😊
You are a brave strong mama, and you look so young and little to have gone thru all that! It's encouraging to me how you accept your story and are thankful, even tho it was so not how you would have chosen. So glad your baby is here and doing well!
I’m expecting my first at the end of January 2022…. So nice to hear you and baby boy are both healthy! I’m still unsure if I wanna birth in the hospital or at home 💗 praying on some guidance and education!
What I learned after having my 1st was things do not always go as planned. I had that drug and it did not let me rest, it made my contractions worse and more intense. So happy you and your baby are healthy. He is Beautiful 💙
Just found your channel, my first baby was born on April 28th, I also had a long hard labor and can relate so much to your perspective and heart toward God and other women who have difficult births! Also you are adorable and so sweet and I am so happy to find your channel ❤️
I appreciate you sharing your story! Our birth experiences teach us so much, often about surrender, letting go, that we can do really hard things, and that we are so much stronger than we think we are. I really identify with what you said about your experience giving you the gift of expanded compassion for those who have difficult births. I see that compassion expanding to include all kinds of difficulties. Sometimes gifts come in oddly shaped packages. And it’s ok that it takes time to process. Some days we rock the gratitude, other days we grieve the feelings of loss/disappointment/anger/frustration. It’s all ok. It’s all part of growing our hearts to hold all that motherhood will call us to carry. A song comes to mind that I’m sure you probably know already… it’s been really helpful for me during time of suffering and surrender, might be a good one for you on those hard mama days? Lay it all Down by Will Reagan. Keeping your sweet family in my prayers!
Thank you for sharing your birth story with sweet Callan. I too had a rough birthing process with my oldest daughter, so much that I purposefully did not share with expectant moms. But she truly was my miracle baby. Love you guys and God Bless 🙏💕
Bless you & oh I feel your pain of your birth..I started labour at 9pm on Sunday and I didn't give birth until the Tue and only dilated to a 3..in all that time..exhaustion isn't the word..my baby wasn't coming out without intervention no matter what as she turned around and her chin was catching my pelvis so I had no option but to have a unsavoury intervention let's say .. Still like yourself that moment they are born it all disappears.. I'm really glad your telling your story as is as alot of ppl go into labour fine but a fair amount don't and its always good to have knowledge on if someone doesn't have a easy labour as to what works to ease the pain, I had 90% back labour and oh lord did I want to get my baby out like yesterday! My daughter is now 32 and I remember every single part of those labour moments still to this day.. Needless to say I stuck with having 1 child... You look so well Kim and you are so pretty,a perfect mummy..take care and get lots of snuggles of your little bubba as he will be like 1 before you know it.x
Oh, girl! You entered my thoughts, earlier today. These memories are treasures. Your perceptions of them will soften and wrinkle - just as we do- and make them even more valuable. You are everything your son needs. He chose you. Enjoy all of it! 🤗
Oh, Kim!! A tough story to be sure, but a beautiful one. Ty for sharing it. I love your attitude towards it all, and you look so happy. Love and blessings to you and your new family of three 👨👩👦❤
I was given Stadol during my labor with my first and I agree it was awful. Aside from still feeling all the pain I also experienced hallucinations. So for my next two deliveries I refused it both times. Thank you for sharing your birth story, they are all unique in their own ways and baby Calan looks like just the sweetest babe.
66 hours! And I thought mine took long when my first son was born, it took 23 hours. For the birth of my second son, I was just in time in the hospital. The taxi-driver was a bit in panic, he thought I didn't make to the hospital. :-D But congratualtions with the birth of your beautiful son, I love his name.
Awwww.. bless you... God knew best for you and baby.. he is precious. And he saw you through it all. This will truly make you strong. Love all your videos and thank you so much for sharing your special story. With love 💞
Aww!! I'm so glad that even though it was a a tough labour, mamma and baby are well. I also had a really long labour with my first baby, grew so tired and got the epidural, and about an hour later was ready to have her. With my fourth child, I got the epidural right away, and only laboured for 6 hours total, and he was out in one push. Usually the first is the hardest. Congratulations!!! He is so cute!!!
Oh my goodness, your story sounds so similar to mine with my first son! Progressed to 9.5 cm, then stalled there for 4+ hours! This is after being in labor for 24 hours. Got the epidural, took a nap, woke up at 10 cm, and pushed baby out soon after! My body just needed to relax as well!
All of my births were different. Some were easy and one was very traumatic. Knowledge will help in case it does not go as your birth plan goes. I liked being prepared for the just in case it definitely took a lot of the anxiety out of it knowing other women had gone through what I was. Thank you for sharing your story and for those who are pregnant knowledge is power. Many blessings.
Congratulations on your new little one. He is so beautiful. Every child is a miracle. I also was in awe that God would entrust me with them. God blessed me with 3 sons and 1 daughter, who are all grown up now. I am now an Oma. Enjoy your little one, they do grow up too fast 😀❤️🙏🏻
Girly thank you so much for sharing. I cried a little, remembering my own labor a month ago. And yes i feel the same as u, a hard experience is not necessarily a bad one. I had the most difficult labor out of my whole family, and also it was a back labor with complications. But i would never ever want to trade my experience for easy labor or anyone else’s. It was special and mine and our baby boy is perfect. God was with us through all of it and it was very clear to see his hand at work. ♥️😘 thanks again for sharing with us. 😊
I had almost an identical birth story with my first ❤. I was scared to have a second baby after all that but I got brave and second labor went a lot more smoothly, ten hour text book labor. Third baby was 4 hour labor. Pregnant with baby number 4 now. That first baby tends to be the hardest. I will say with everybaby I tell myself to have no expectations and I think that helps. You are strong ❤.
Thanks for sharing! I have some difficult birth stories as well. What a great appreciation you have for the experience! Makes me rethink about my own. Thank you! ❤️
Such a cute little man! I’m so sorry your first experience was rough. I didn’t have a rough experience until the very last baby(she just turned 26). We were in and out of the hospital for 3 days. I had a few other things going on besides labor. But we made it through and had a healthy baby. And that’s all that mattered. Thank God for our healthy babies! Glad you’re feeling better!
Ive had 3 healthy labors and they were all so very different! But they are all mine❤ my 2nd birth was my easiest!!!! Woke up at 4am to full on labor went to the hospital and she was born at 730am! It was so crazy fast lol so excited to hear you guys are ok and happy and healthy!
Congratulations! Your son is looking great! My first birth story 20 some years ago did not turn out how I hoped but about half the time of your labor...actually ended up with a c section but that all went well and we were blessed with a healthy son too! GOD BLESS YOU !
Loved listening to your story! I feel too many times ladies have this vision of how it’ll go and somehow things don’t go as planned and they’re hard on themselves for not being able to do it. I’m pregnant with my 4th. I had a rough home birth for my first one. I ended up at the hospital after she was born and decided to do the hospital for the second one since I got pregnant when my first born was 10 months. I had an epidural with my last two and it’s the best thing ever. Your body needs to relax somewhat to be able to do what it was created for. And after all, birthing a baby wasn’t created to be painful:) we’re planning to do hospital and epidural with the 4th, since going from so much pain with the first one, to zero painful contractions with the last two, it’s not hard to choose :)
Love your story! You are so good at story telling. Don't know but here in my country they don't let you plan out your birth, so it pretty much goes as the doctor wants/availability . I had three vaginal births all different from each other. None lasted more than 8 hours from when I started contracting. And once I got to the hospital I pushed them out fast. Am thankful for that, after I hear so many stories that go other wise.❤️
EXCELLENT JOB EXPLAINING YOUR BIRTH STORY AND YOUR BABY IS ADORABLE… HOW PRECIOUS HE IS 🙏♥️😇 YOU AND DARYL WILL BE SUCH GOOD PARENTS, GOD TRULY “BLESSED” ALL THREE OF YOU 🙏 THANK YOU FOR SHARING… MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS EACH OF YOU EVERYDAY… :) Diane
Thank you for sharing your story. Had my experience not have been rushed along by an intervention hospital, mine most likely would have been the same as yours. I planned for a home birth and at 24 hours in I went to the hospital because I was only 3 cm dilated. If I would have stayed home it probably would have went out for days as well. So glad everything turned out well and you both were healthy. ❤️
Wow! Enjoyed hearing your story and Callen is adorable. Beautiful family! Of course all birth stories are unique and funny thing, I fell asleep in-between each contraction but was also wide awake during the contraction. They say 20% of the population do this. Anyway, its all worth the difficulty in the end! ❤️
Thank you for sharing! It's so remarkable to me that you can be so positive about the whole thing! Its very clear that God's love dwells inside of you❤ Callan really is a charmer🥰
Omy I felt all of that pain with u..it was the same for me for a week finally they gave me something to speed it up and pushing was half hr...so thankful that everything is okay for u and baby now.
Oh momma I felt so much of your story I gave birth June 10th and had to have an unplanned c section after 20 hrs of labor after I had been induced. I cannot imagine how you handled so many hours of labor. On the staydol I TOTALLY felt the same way it was MISERABLE
Hi Kim! That is just beautiful and amazing storie❣ And You are so kind to open up for all mom's there who struggle or are sad... You are so courageous Sweetie, thank You for sharing... Lots of love 💝
You're so precious and I love your channel. Your wise beyond years and yes God allows us to go thru situations to teach us valuable lessons. Much love to you and your family 💗
Thank you for sharing your story so that I could learn more about the amazing woman you are but also learn about birth stories like I've never imagined. I recall earlier videos where you mentioned in passing you had checkups and there was a concern but hopefully things would work out. I don't recall that you said much more than that. Regardless, so happy for the outcome! Distinguished name, too! And, your best friend must be so thrilled for you.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. You did a great job telling it. Your baby is adorable and a precious gift from God! I did not have an epidural with my first birth but have heard from many others that it actually relaxes the mommas body enough to dilate quickly. I tell anyone who asks to get the epidural. My first birth was so so long and challenging and the 2nd one was quick. I was 10 centimeters dilated in 2 hours with the 2nd one . Your next birth may be easy. God Bless!
You are just the sweetest thing and such a genuine person. Feels like just sitting down with a friend to hear about their life (except I usually put your videos on while I’m getting chores done 😳) Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing your birthing story with us. I enjoy your channel and spirit so much.

Such precious moments
He's adorable, Kim!!! Congratulations. Children truly are a gift from God.
Thanks!! They truly are!
Thank you so much for sharing your birth story with us, Kim!!! Grateful that you are both healthy and well!!! Congratulations and Many Blessings!
Staydol did the same thing to me! I felt like I had no break cause I'd fall asleep in between contractions. So I thought I had about 7 contractions with no break before I got my epidural. I appreciate your story! Thanks for sharing
I'm soo blessed by hearing how positive you are after a rough birth... not a mom yet but you really encouraged me once again!!!
So glad all is well with your baby❤️ Please take time to enjoy him, don't worry about the house work, laundry etc. It will all get done baby, you and your husband are more important! My Granny showed me this poem when I had my twins 39 years ago.
Scrubbing and cleaning can wait till tomorrow,
For babies grow up ,we learned to our sorrow.
You are amazing. Your birth story is a special one. Your son is so handsome. Thank you for sharing your birth story.
I definitely was hesitant to share, but for the sake of the women with stories like mine, I really felt like I should share
This was so encouraging to me. Thank you for sharing! 🙌
You're very pleasant to listen to. You speak very well, and tell your story very engagingly 💖
What a beautiful birth story. And what an adorable little guy you have!
You're such a sweet momma! Callan is one lucky little boy! Congrats!
Oh, girl!
You entered my thoughts, earlier today.
These memories are treasures. Your perceptions of them will soften and wrinkle - just as we do- and make them even more valuable.
You are everything your son needs. He chose you. Enjoy all of it! 🤗
What a beautiful story of Gods faithfulness. Such an adorable baby! Congratulations!
What a beautiful story mama. I’m so glad you have a wonderful husband to do it with.
Thank you for sharing. It's amazing how even after all of that you could still give it a positive spin in the end. You are so strong and wise.
Hod bless you, your husband and your gorgeous little boy!! Your birth story reminds me of mine when I had my first child. What an experience!
I love the way you tell every story, but this is my favorite. What a blessing, many precious things come from a hard time, but what a joy!
Happy for you, every child birth experience is different, but each one special in its way. Blessings!
Thanks for sharing your story!!!❤ Every story is beautiful!
EXCELLENT JOB EXPLAINING YOUR BIRTH STORY AND YOUR BABY IS ADORABLE…
HOW PRECIOUS HE IS 🙏♥️😇 YOU AND DARYL WILL BE SUCH GOOD PARENTS, GOD TRULY “BLESSED” ALL THREE OF YOU 🙏
THANK YOU FOR SHARING…
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS EACH OF YOU EVERYDAY…
:) Diane
I'm proud of you!!! You have a graceful way of sharing a hard time. I love your surrender heart! God bless you!!
So sweet of a story. Baby is a blessing. Congrats to u both!!
When you brought Callan into the video I was grinning from ear to ear! He is so precious. Birth stories…. Boy, have I got some.
Ain't he a heartbreaker!!??🥰
@@Kim_Martin for sure!!
Congratulation to you and the hubby. So happy for you. He is just so cute and very alert. Look forward to many more videos as you feel better.
Thank you for sharing, Kim. He’s a precious little boy. Praying for you and your family. I hope you have a great rest of your week.

Thank you for sharing your birth story. My Husband and I have been talking about having kids.
Oh momma I felt so much of your story I gave birth June 10th and had to have an unplanned c section after 20 hrs of labor after I had been induced. I cannot imagine how you handled so many hours of labor.
On the staydol I TOTALLY felt the same way it was MISERABLE
My baby was too big so he never came down so that’s why I needed the c section he was 9 lbs 21 inches 😭😅
Hi Kim!
That is just beautiful and amazing storie❣ And You are so kind to open up for all mom's there who struggle or are sad...
You are so courageous Sweetie, thank You for sharing...
Lots of love 💝
You my dear are a sweetheart!! Your Mom must be so proud of you...she raised you well
She's had her work cut out for her...I was a handful growing up 🤣
You're so precious and I love your channel. Your wise beyond years and yes God allows us to go thru situations to teach us valuable lessons. Much love to you and your family 💗
That was a wonderful birth story! Shows just how strong you are and how much of a team you and your husband are. 💕🙏
Thank you for sharing. This is beautiful. You did such a good job, momma.
Aw thanks girl.
Congratulations! He is perfect!!! Glad you are healing and learning so much about yourselves as you navigate this amazing parenting journey!💙
Thank you for sharing. When you are given that perfect gift you work so hard for thats all that matters in the end! God bless your family!
He is precious! Congratulations to you both!
Wow! Way to go!!! You are a trooper! God bless you! 🙏😊
He's absolutely gorgeous😍 So glad you are both healthy & doing well! Thanks for sharing your story!
God Bless!
I like the way you speak. I feel the humor
Thank you for sharing your birth story! You are so right about God’s plan and I admire that! You have a beautiful family! God bless you all!
