Bhalladeva's father was kept alive because he always think he was kept as servant and not making him the king. And that's the reason he always poisoned his son too. So in the end keeping him alive and standing as servant symbolises his punishment that now he will really live the life of a servant. Bahubali obviously the biggest movie. Always love to watch this😇
they should make new movie like bijjlaladeva will join hands with some foreign enemy attacking mahismati

Statue scene was more symbolic i think, she walked all over him on his face, also during coronation ceremony everyone cheered for Bahubali, he held the umbrella over king, that shows that no matter what Bhallaldeva does he will always remain in shadow of Bahubali and never will be true king
Similarly in first part they showed that Bahubali staue is so much bigger and greater than Bhallaldeva

This movie was so good and you guys reacted to it as if you were Indian. You can tell by how you guys were having goosebumps in every major scene. I watched this movie like 10 times and every time I have goosebumps.
Also while capturing her bhalaldev try to keep his feet above her head 9:45 ; so by walking over his face she did her revenge

This is a great reaction. The statue scene actually symbolise lots of things. I’m pretty sure other commenters would explain that. Also the trail by fire ritual scene is something Shiv Gami also did in the starting of the movie. I don’t know if you guys recognise him but the rebellion chief leader that Bhallaldev killed in front of Devsena was actually Devsena’s brother, the king of Kuntul kingdom which was tarnished by Bhallaldev once he got full authority of Mahishmati and got hold of Devsena. The reason Devsena didn’t fight in this whole battle is because she had been worn out for 25 years. Her body is too fragile to the point that she can barely walk, let alone hold a weapon. That’s why she couldn’t even run when Bhallaldev captured her again in the battle and bought her back to castle.
Also I would love to recommend 3 Idiots and Taare zameen par (Like Stars on Earth). Hope you guys would react to it.

What a movie guys, I watched it probably 10 times by now and each time I get goosebumps every 20 mins. Great review as well, you guys really understood the movie and the meaning of small actions. I don't see that many foreigners understand this movie that well. You guys had a great reaction and understood the movie like an Indian.
Those times gold was very common in India. Invasion from Mughal and British looted everything. But still now India is standing tall.

And speaking of bhalla's father yes he must be be alive, to suffer his whole life like devasena suffered, and speaking of the big statue head, :- Rajamaatha sivagami devi, who carries and saves Bahubali's son shivudu(Mahendra Bahubali) in the river and shows the baby to the mountains and askes to forgive her sins and save this baby and lead him to avenge his father and save his mother, by that when he grows up as u saw he will carry the idol of lord Shiva, for the blessing head bath, and keeps it under the water fall, for a countless wish and countless blessings, and later lord Shiva will bless his fate while sending the mask to him, that made him to go up and conquer his anwers!
Why I said this because when Shivudu AkA (Mahendra Bahubali) Went up, it's like he put bhallaladeva down, and also where statue idol lord Shiva brought the evil bhalla, unto it's feet, (Golden Head) and it's the end as u saw the names of the cats came on,
Spoilers, the director of this film as confirmed Bahubali 3, not started yet and waiting for Prabhas actor of Bahubali's dates to work, and it's gonna take few more years to get an update, 🤞🏽
And same director now is going to release his upcoming movie RRR (Rudram Rana Rudram) on March 25th this year this month, in cinemas worldwide 🔥🙌🏽

But there are 3 bahubalis in the movie
1) real bahubali or bahubali 1st who was the brother of the handicapped manwho.He died young( there was no cameo but have a photo of him in bahubali 1)
2) bahubali 1st's son amarendra bahubali who was the main character in the bahubali 2 ( the one who got killed by the villain )
3) mahendra bahubali, son of amarendra bahubali, grandson of bahubali 1st. He is the one who killed villain and became king.

What a nostalgic journey.... But something is missing here... When we watched it in theaters during the fall of the statue head there is a part where a Lil girl asks someone "what is the future?" The old man answered back "only lord Shiva knows".... That was some sort of indication that part 3 is in works.... Idk why it is not der in Netflix version... Also, in India we have book here in India written for queen shivagami. Prequel before amarandra bahubali.... And we have animated bahubali too.... For kids.... This movie was kinda revolution here in India that showed how regional movies are far beyond greatness.

Just to clarify the entire saga started 50 years ago, when both bahubali and bhallaladeva were born. At the time when bahubali was killed he was 25 & hence at time of the final war bhallaladeva was around 50
His father was from the same family only , and whatever he did he was elder most in the family so he was also respected
Indian war rule says you can kill only one who is fighting direct war. Old man was behind the scenes. So he is still alive.

Raja Vikramaditya who was the father of Baahubali was infact killed by various plans made by Bhalaaldeva father Bijjaladeva as he felt he was denied kingdom due to his physical disability.
Infact the Baahubali's mother dies due to the news of her husband's death.
Kattappa was from the same village as Queen Sivagami since younger times they even knew each other.
King Vikramaditya also married a common citizen, hence when both the parents died, no one from the Baahubali's mother side ever contacted the kingdom to take care of Baahubali.

I like the villain Bhallaldev because he has a character. He never forces Devsena but he keeps her alive and treats badly but he does not like to kill her or forces her because he loves her so much. He loves Devsena so badly that he asks her to be with him at his last time.

Queen Mother is not pissed off with Amarendra Bahubali because he married Devasena. She was following Kshatriya (Warrior) Dharma that no one shall point fingers at the constitution of the kingdom. Devasena crossed those lines and cursed Mahishmathi's constitution when she was arrested for chopping off the Army commander's fingers. This was followed by Bahubali killed (punished) the army commander which is not his duty he stepped into the king's shoes there. So, as a queen mother, she needs to implement the law..which she did. Her only incorrect decisions were
1. Without inquiry she made a decision to punish Bahubali
2. She made a promise that Bahubali will be the King but she failed to keep her promise. that's because she crossed the line of Kshathriy Dharma of promising Bhalla that she will get Devasena for him.
If you observe the movie correctly, each character was ready to give life to stand on their promises
1. Kattappa (his forefathers promised to Mahishmathi throne that they will be slaves)
2. Amarendra Bahubali promises Devasena, he will put his life to protect her dignity
3. Mahendra Bahubali promises Avanthika that he will bring Devasena back on her behalf
4. Queen Mother promises Bhalla that she will get Devasena (failed promise, but she tried)
This is quite usual practice in ancient India, especially Kshatriya (Warrior) clan. That's the fundamental difference between Western kings and Indian kings... Following Dharma with superior fighting skills.
Bhalladeva never touched Devasena even if she was a captive for 25 long years!! That's called Kshatriya Dharma! This is exactly what Devasena reminded Queen Mother; in their clan girls reserve the right to select the bride.
