Drama as an American Signal Crayfish goes towards a young Water Vole!

I was concerned to see a non-native American Signal Crayfish heading towards a young Water Vole feeding on the bank, because there are now only around 100,000 Water Voles left in the UK from around 8 million at the beginning of the last century. Thankfully, the Water Vole saw the Crayfish and jumped clean over it before disappearing into a burrow. I missed filming an adult male Water Vole who then swam upstream towards the Crayfish which then disappeared! I made enquires as to whether the Crayfish would have tried to capture the young Water Vole, but was reliably informed it would not. I rarely see this species of Crayfish, so if you have managed to capture any interesting behaviour, please let me know. Many thanks!
