I worked for a very large funeral home, with a cemetery where my parents reside, and I loved walking through the gardens…very peaceful and comforting to me.🙏🙂

My mom had that set of vintage orange wheat Pyrex. Only back then in the 1970s it was new. I've always enjoyed things from the 70s those were my Wonder Years. So much fun to see the younger generation enjoying music and motifs from the 70s.

I especially enjoyed seeing the complimentary contrast between your personalities at your desks. And I feel for you in trying to find decor. So often decor styles, like people, are pigeonholed into one thing or another. “Oh, you want spiderweb decor? Then you must want it black and Gothhhhh.” I’m sure it’s hard to find items that compliment the cozy and subtly spooky autumnal vibe you’re going for, and you’ve done such a lovely job.

I noticed your owls and I just love owls. In fact, I have owl posters and trinkets displayed around my hand built home in the woods. Beautiful little owl collection !

My grandmother was an owl lover for years, had lots of trinkets, paintings, etc. After she passed I was still not so myself that I let all of those things be sold and donated. Since then we've had an owl that inhabits our neighborhood and I've come to live seeing her around and especially hearing her call in the evenings. It's so hauntingly beautiful. Now I wish I could or would have kept all of the owl things my grandmother had collected.
Oh, forgot to mention among my folk art collection are several Dala horses!! Love em!!

My husband and I were also married on September 22nd 11 days after 9-11. So this year it will be 20 years of marriage. We both love too and it cool we all have the same anniversary. It's all about fall here today. Fresh peach cobbler with some vanilla ice cream. 🥧🥧🥧
My favorite season is Autumn, it’s also my birthday month, which I celebrate on October 31st, (flip the numbers). Fall colors are my favorites of oranges, maroons, yellows & reds. I have a sugar maple tree, which was already here & 4 years ago I planted a colorful Fiesta Tree. I always decorate the outside of my cottage with pumpkins and gourds, cornstalks, if I can find them. Thanks for the tour! 🥰

You're so welcome! Yes, the foliage in Sweden is more in September and not as much as in NY because there's more pine trees in Sweden. And in California there not much foliage in Southern California where I'm from but a few change more in late November, the falls in NY are truly the best in our opinion🍁
My take on the seasons: New England’s best season is fall; spring is the season for where I live in the Maryland/ DC/Virginia area. I shave less knowledge of summer and winter but suspect Colorado for winter (sun and snow) and Great Lakes area for summer. Best year round is Hawaii.
