- I am posting this on my personal account, but my school team 11645A, a second-year team, has made an awesome robot!
Thank you, 229V Ace and all the other teams, for the inspiration!
Ps: The last shot is not actually true, because the left side of the goal is a little bit raised :)
Specs:
44 Watts 300 rpm drive
22 Watt 60 rpm catapult
11 Watt 600 rpm intake
11 Watt for hanging?

I've seen a lot of people commenting that our bot is illegal. Since the reveal, we have fixed the wedge issues so that they're not concave anymore.
Concave surface, your wings are technically illegal.
How?
@@SaltNjairee they are concave... if you have a concave surface like a C controlling the tribals its considered posesion and since ur wings do \____/ instead of _______ its illegal
v shape is not concave
@@themythtorybro my dude concave in the vex sense of terms means just that it Like sorta gives the triball a hug. If it wraps around the tribal at all its concave
Yes according to the Manuel it’s illegal but there were many times at mall of America where teams possessed multiple balls within a concave surface and the refs didn’t care so idk if the rule will actually be inforced
Great bot just make sure ur wings don’t go out past 90 degrees some refs will be picky abt that
The wings have concavemant. That will cause you to be in possession of more than one triball. Might want to fix that
Why y’all freaking out bout this robot it’s pretty good except for the concave wings (which are an extremely easy fix)
hey uhh the wings is a little off it might be deemed concave surface
I really like ur robot
CONCAVE FLAPS!!!!!! AHHHHHH
What are the stand-offs doing in the back of your robot where the gears of the catapult are. Are they some type of mechanism to keep the catapult in place? Overall I love your robot ❤
Not affiliated with the team, but I believe they are ratchets to take the strain off the motors. They limit the catapult to only 1 direction of rotation, so the motors do not need to hold down the cata
@@fluffydeath2365 Thanks for the info, really appreciate it!
How does your catapult system work? Its so intricate
it’s just the 299V’s bot but more illegal lol
your wings are concave, awesome bot though!
What is your motor rpm (for drivetrain) and how many motors are you using for the drive train?
Another robotics team from Fort Collins here. Quick question / clarification; in your video, when you use a horizontal extender and push multiple triballs into the goal, that's against the rules, correct? It's my understanding that a robot can only control / purposefully push one triball at a time? I may have read the game manual wrong; just wanted to make sure! Thanks for posting your cool video!
you are only allowed to possess 1 ball at a time, so you can push multiple, but it can not be in any concave mechanism, so yes technically what they are doing is not allowed, but you can push multiple at the same time as long as its a straight wall
After reading rule in the official game manual, it definitely states that a bot cannot purposefully have possession / push more than one triball at a time (incidental pushing is OK and at the discretion of the ref). Just want to make sure the correct info is out there!@@Pancakezz_
@MrEnglarRobotics Check out the definition of possession in the Game-Specific Definitions of the game manual. It states "pushing/plowing Triballs is not considered Possession; however, using concave portions of a Robot to control the movement of Triballs is considered Possession" which makes straight wings legal but concave ones like these illegal.
I coach 8 teams of middle school VRC. I have seen in the video’s teams using gloves to load the triballs. Do you have any recommendations for where and what type of gloves? Thanks!
football gloves
Dude, ya know that this is the exact song wiscobots used for their tipping point reveal.
what is this comment supposed to mean
Ninth in
that is extremely illegal
I see one major problem, when placing a the game elements into the robot. From what I’ve seen they MUST be placed on the gray mat area inside the corner. Here I the video where this is explained: m.ua-cam.com/video/7P-XEn9l6Gs/v-deo.html&pp=ygUOdmV4IG92ZXIgdW5kZXI%3D
its allowed according to the game manual and its also been allowed at all the competitions already
Thanks for the update! Are school robotics starts in a couple days so we are just gonna be starting building soon :/
@acerobotics lol
