Thanks for watching and commenting. We're all learning this together. Lowrance Active Target is new and there is not much on-the-water footage out there
That's a bummer, but you'll be happy when it arrives and get it installed. It is a large investment, but well worth it. Now us Lowrance guys know why the Garmin guys have been so quiet.
Thanks for the tutorial on the Active Target. Very cool technology. Does or can it read bottom structure too? Reading a graph 101 would be nice too for newbies like myself, that is when I get a boat and fish/depth finder.
I don't really have enough experience with Active Target, but it does show structure. We saw a brushpile clearly. But I think they key is you can't necessarily just use Active Target, you need to use it in combination with sidescan, downscan, and even traditional sonar to take advantages of the benefits of each. My friends keep telling me I need at least 1 more unit on the bow, but I've been trying to avoid that Rabbi Hole. Thanks for the view and comment
Game changer for sure! Still not guaranteed to catch but you definitely fish with much more confidence knowing they are there!
Definitely a game changer and confidence builder.
Great job explaining what to look for and how to use the technology to your advantage.

Fat slabs. Not only one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country but one of the best fisheries overall when you consider crappie and catfish
Clear Lake is one of the top lakes in the country. It's such an amazing fishery
Is this on Carbon or HDS Live units?
This is on a 12" Carbon unit. Thanks
Don't like the stitching Lowrance has, livescope is almost flawless and has been out for 2 years
