ISI Reports to Prime Minister of Pakistan. PM Pakistan has sole authority to make executive decision. Agreed ISI should not interfere into politics. They should rather focus on external issues.
For that other institutions are inplace. Evey institution should work within its jurisdiction. Let Pakistan grow let all institutions grow. Stop interference, stop blackmailing. Stop buying politicians. Let Pakistan Run. Learn from other countries. For how long this stupid power play from last 74 years shall end? Stop it now and Pakistan will grow.

No one could bought Quaid e azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for his character was strong. These third class polticial parties and politicians who you and so called democracy lovers, journalists passionately defend all the time, forget that these politicians only love the money and have no character. That's why we see, some PM invite Indian business persons to murree for personal business by breaking the law of the country only for MONEY.
That's the reality u don't talk about or maybe even understand.
The root cause lies in interference of non political institutions into politics. Unfortunately low character politicians, corrupt elite are by products of Establishment as they low moral politicians suit the to build up a narrative. Good politicians shall emerge, other institutions shall get stronger once interference is stopped. This is the only way to move forward. The subordinates should not cross the lines, judiciary should be independent. Those who broke construction of Pakistan must be punished to stop it forever. Pakistan will grow if our all institutions stay in balance and justice is prevailed.
Look at Turkey. Military had the habit to take over civilian Governments. Their most recent attempt was failed by Turkish people despite their differences with Erdogan. This didn't make Turkey weak by resisting against illegal take over attempt, However emerged as strong nation. We have to get out of sacred cow syndrome rule of law should be applied equally to all. Our stupid politicians should stop visiting Gate No. 4 instead they should call them in parliamentary committees for briefing on security issues. Unfortunately our corrupt politicians don't know what is worth of Parliament and Constitution.

ISI is super strong because our political leadership has successfully neutered (you can say destroyed) our IB, same is the case of our military and police. Instead of going after ISI and Military we need to empower our police and IB, but no, this will never happen because of vested interests of our political class because a powerful IB and FIA won't let magarmach (alligator) politicians get away with everything.
Edit : 70-80% of ISI force is civilian, military brass is very small part of the agency.

Military "Leadership" is equally responsible for the poor state of the county over the last 70 years. Country went through major tragedies including assassination of PMs starting from Liaqat Ali Khan, then ZA Bhutto judicially murdered with combination of military regime, Benazir Bhutto assassinated, worst case the country fell apart in 1971. Were there ever credible investigations done? Was anybody held responsible for the failure? Was any report publicised to build confidence of people? Never. Since late 50's the country is in control of Sicilian Mafia, this mafia includes powerful people from all institutions. Mafia masters have no sense of dignity, independence and improve the state positively. Instead, keep begging and continue the luxurious life. Hats off to Imran Khan, who became the source of exposing this mafia of the country. God bless him. People must realize the cause of their current situation and raise their voice to the best of their capacity.

But your point actually highlights the check and balance system in the military which civilian institutions lack. Those officers were hung but Ozair Baloch is still alive.

Pakistan is not a normal nation. Population is only 60% literate. You CANNOT have democracy. The only reason Pakistan still remains a state is because of the control of the army. This should continue for another 15 yrs until this nation can stand on it's feet.
Without army, people of pakistan would have sold this land to India/Afghanistan/Iran... because they're disunited focussed on ethnic rivalries and frankly uneducated and backward. Without the army this nation would have been finished. Already China has shown the world what is possible if only you are not held back by democracy.

Yes its right army can advise recommendations but civil government in western countries they acknowledge those recommendations by military. In Pakistan 🇵🇰 government culture recommendations always but in the bin and governments think they are superior and they are the best, but army and public believe our governments are not mature enough to make decisions on their own. If someone think they (govt) are mature then they also think why our country is been through present condition. This is the only political wing in ISI who is trying their best to keep our country safe from official mafia. We ❤ our army and every part of it.
