Thank you, I was staying in Tromso 10 nights.
The northern lights possibly were visible from the city itself, but the only times I saw them I was out in the countryside.

Yes mate, got Billy / Nial on FB for quite a while now, if you are on there, we should be mutual friends if you're on there. I get so annoyed with my club these days, one day we will get back there! Re; Tromso, I just loved it, really awesone, and thats why I keep searching on UA-cam for videos.
Why don't people put their settings down as well?
Sorry Joe, there are probably 50 different videos here spliced together and they all had different camera settings. I probably could find all the individual settings for each one but it would be a lot of work.

What can someone do in tromso in february?
svouros40 Well the footage in this video was captured during late February and early March so that will give you an idea of the conditions. Personally I drove out every day to take photographs and time lapses but I'm sure there are things you could do in the city itself, but it is only a small place, I think you're best going for the scenery.
Actually i want to do 3 things...See the northern lights, do snowmobile and visit nordkapp which is about 300 kilometres northern from tromso...can someone see the northern lights anytime or it is a matter of being lucky also?
svouros40 It is certainly a matter of being lucky but the longer you go for (and February is a good time of year) the better chance you have of seeing them. You need a clear sky and I tend to find it is most active in the early hours of the morning around 1am. Look up 'Aurora Forecast' on google and that will give you a forecast for when you are there so you can know roughly how active it is each night.
