WOW JOHN!!!!! That was amazing! Really took me back 2 decades when I flew the Zagi THL off Mt. Baldy in NW Indiana Dunes State Park! 180' tall loose sand dune perched over Lake Michigan. One wrong turn and I would be in the drink! I turned wrong a few times and was able to dry things out and continue to fly rest of afternoon! This video may be one of your finest hits! The scenery, the sound of the waves, the sketchy terrain, sun angle. It truely was a mesmerizing video! Thank you for sharing it all John! A much needed mental relief here in the USA at this time.
Super flight! You were scratching there, was hoping you got her back in one piece with all those rocks around and spotty lift. Reminds me of scratching for lift in the mountains and also along Marina Beach near Monterey, CA in my days as a hang glider pilot. Admire your skill. And that glider is beautiful! I bought one in Germany this summer based on it's graceful lines and the geodetic wing structure, brought it home with me on the plane, couldn't bear the thought of having to wait until my next trip there in 2024 to build it, so I get to build it here now. Thanks, love your beautiful videos.
Amazing video, Gorgeous model and incredible piloting as always.. add that to the sound of the waves.... Bliss. I was right there with you.. I miss the Sea.
What a scenery and what an atmosphere, fantastic, great John! You definitely have good flying skills on top of it, I will recommend you in our airline😊 Thanks a lot and have a good time, looking forward to your next video! Andy
Wow John, you unquestionably have an extraordinary talent for reading, seeing, feeling the air! I am impressed! It's cool that you opted out of the music for the ocean sounds. Another great video!
Hi john you have a fair amount of confidence in your flying skills. I wouldn't trust myself to do something like that. Especially since it's quite humid out there. Greetings Franz
This channel is just so amazing! I’d love to know the technique/materials you use for covering the aircraft! I’m having trouble applying some PE to my own first design and would love some guidance from someone with your mastery 🙂

St Michaels Mount I recon....that was marginal, then I thought to myself, where's he going to land it...?...and it explains why we didn't see the beach landing...lol...well done though, brave moves..🤔😳🇬🇧
What a beautiful model! Your body posture looked a tad nervous at the beginning!😂 Especially when it looked like it was sinking…😱 I wanted to see where you landed it?
"Scratching the slope" as we say in French, with such a beautiful glider is scary for the ones watching.Mr John the flyer seems very cool!Excellent performance as usual!Congrats !
Oooo .... err, does this count as a period of exercise ? I thought I'd head for the local playing fields with a DLG earlier but decided it wasn't worth a £200 fine.
This was filmed a few months ago. I always have about 10-15 videos waiting to be uploaded so I can mix them up a bit. On a good day I can film a few gliders, then upload them about once a week. That way I can still upload regular videos even when the weather is bad (or covid)
Fantastic video!!! No music was a great choice. I guess you stepped down and grabbed it with your hand for landing. And that is Tintin's Black Island!!!
A beautiful model, well flown and filmed Sir John. The geodesic geometry in the wing construction certainly looks unique. Can you comment on the effectiveness or advantages of same? A pleasure to watch in any case.

Zagi! Yay!
Beautiful flight. Love to hear no music but the sound of the waves and the wind…

Brilliant glider and brilliant flying in gorgeous Mount's Bay!
A challenging place to fly but the location is fabulous, several holidays spent there in the 60s, another excellent video John .👍
Wow, not for the faint of heart. Astonishing location to fly.
Amazing video, Gorgeous model and incredible piloting as always.. add that to the sound of the waves.... Bliss. I was right there with you.. I miss the Sea.
Fantastic as always Mr and Mrs W and I didn't realise how much I miss the sound of the sea 👏👏👏 thanks from Alan in South Yorkshire 🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍❤❤

Lovely wingtips on that glider. Would really like to see you flying a Hobie Hawk sometime in those great places you fly at.
Perfect! I have the Tera V5 serial number # 016 ... I love it!
Amazing how U fly in any location. Not afraid at all to fly by the sea....landing area so tiny that I can’t see it !!!
Beautiful sight of landscape, this video so relaxing. 😴
Truly a thing of beauty!
Wonderful as always John, Cheers!!
Simply uplifting ! Again, thanks
Takes some confidence to fly such a complex build at this rocky venue :-)
Away from the hill to gain altitude...nothing like sunlight thru clear coat covering! Great video!
Great looking plane..
Amazing location...
Excellent piloting skills...
Well done.. ✌
Maaaannn...Great flying...Reminds me so much of flyin in Maui...
Looked a little sketchy for my skill level to be flying there.
Gorgeous glider and scenery though. Stay safe 🍻🌲
Wow no room for error there. Nice flight John
You sir, are an excellent pilot!
Thank you!
Amazing, flying filming and location next level
Wow John, you unquestionably have an extraordinary talent for reading, seeing, feeling the air! I am impressed! It's cool that you opted out of the music for the ocean sounds. Another great video!
Thank you Paul.
Wow...amazing fly end location...this glider is ver beatiful.
That's brilliant. You're crazy!
Now that got the heart started, look's like FUN.
Narrow band of lift keeps the fingers twiddling ..... :-) ........just gotta have faith that it won't let you down ..... looks like a fun day !
Das hat was👍Meeresrauschen, knapp über der Wasseroberfläche🌊 an einer perfekten Stelle 😎sehr ansprechend und entspannend😃Danke
Amazing, without music but tha sound of nature is better
Yes the waves sounded nice. But normally it just wind noise over the microphone so it doesn’t sound very good.
Just great John 👍
B-E-A-Utiful! Thank you, Woodfields!
Wow, thats really amazing, excellent flying,

Hi John... Great work... Thanks
No music this time, because you were concentrating!
Actually the Sound of the Waves is also very nice! I like it!
Some fine flying there John, a lesser man would have gone for a swim 😳👏🏼👏🏼
Man that was scary expected you to rekit that one, i would not have the guts to fly there, well done john whats next?
Neat place of flying!
St Michaels Mount I recon....that was marginal, then I thought to myself, where's he going to land it...?...and it explains why we didn't see the beach landing...lol...well done though, brave moves..🤔😳🇬🇧
Can you imagine if folks back in those days saw a glider that this fly there?
Stunning location . where is it? The house in the opening shot is like a movie location.
What a beautiful model!
Your body posture looked a tad nervous at the beginning!😂 Especially when it looked like it was sinking…😱
I wanted to see where you landed it?
I had to catch it on the rocky beach. But I didn’t get it on film and I wasn’t going to try and land it a second time!
Sure would have been a cold swim if you would have dropped it. Very cool looking structure in the back ground. And as always great flying .

Magic...😉👍
Looks like sinking out would not be a very good option there. Did you take note of the seagulls in the upper lift.
Scratching for lift, nice flying
Amazing place, where is it ?
It’s Cornwall U.K.
St: Michael's mount?
It is.
HOW did you land ?? hopefully somewhere else ?? :-) (AAHH Isaw the answer under ))

Excellent bro I m 1 like and comments 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Didn't see your trademark catch at the end!!
No, missed it on video and I wasn’t going to chance doing another one with all the rocks around
Lovely. Too much of a leap of faith for me though. I would need a motor launch for the 100% certain water landing. And ailerons.
It does have ailerons so you are half way there..
@@SlopeRCGliders Phew!
You can fly anywhere!
Small slope is an over statement, not much there but rocks and water. Is there a place to fly higher up on the cliff?
It was all trees and scrub at the top of the slope.
@@SlopeRCGliders Now that's a bummer.
As good as you are a pilot, I'm always impressed with your wife's capability as a photographer. Got to wonder if she does this professionally?
Thank you. She is pretty good. But she only does it for fun. I never fly for too long because she starts to get bored.
Is the kit available?
Knowing the lack of my RC skills it would of been in the water.
Fantastic video!!! No music was a great choice. I guess you stepped down and grabbed it with your hand for landing. And that is Tintin's Black Island!!!
Yes, a hand catch was a must. But just missed it on video and I wasn’t going to chance my luck twice.
A beautiful model, well flown and filmed Sir John. The geodesic geometry in the wing construction certainly looks unique. Can you comment on the effectiveness or advantages of same? A pleasure to watch in any case.
@@SlopeRCGliders It was certainly worth it. One of your best videos ever. I watched it three times!!!
I thought there would be a catch to it!
Sorry, only did the one catch and missed it on the video. Didn’t want to chance it a second time. Too many rocks about!
@@SlopeRCGliders Pretty rough place to fly John. Nice flying, even without a catch!
Wanderful John...I am always folow your hobby!
Thank you!
👏👏👏👏🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
This is right down by the water, at the bottom from where you usually fly?
It’s a different spot. I only tried it out because the wind was from an unusual direction.
How was the landing ?
Not too bad.
My undercarriage retracted several times during that flight!
