i only bought zenonia, birds and beans, warioware snapped, and publisher dream that i transferred looong time ago into my 2DS when I got it last year. and i STILL play them on my 2DS ♥ rest in peace little shop :(

At least the 3DS have a little aniamtion with the form blocks and the eShop bag coming from time to time, but the Wii U one is literally just an status bar.

You can access the store you just need to search up a UA-cam video for the DNS Just lookup "Nintendo wfc dns" you should see some videos of people showing you how to connect to the server this is only for the DSI

they stopped letting people buy games at the DSiWare shop because well, no one really buys games from the DSiWare shop anymore dude. the Eshop has taken over. you can only re-download the games you bought from it.
so, real talk... this is kinda the fate I fear for a lot of hardware with digital shops. granted, in this case, all the software is available for the 3DS eShop, but now the DSi is now a much less worthwhile piece of hardware other than having some really goofy photo and audio software built into it.Granted, the DSiWare shop had a lot of shovelware, but I also very much enjoy some of the service's better games. I still come back to stuff like the vanilla version of Risky's Revenge, Dark Void Zero, Art Style Pictobits, and Mighty Milky Way every now and then.

Internet browser, camera TWL enhanced games, rainbow pen in pictochat, DSi shop, Flipnote Studio. It was basically just an upgrade.
I originally bought the DSi instead of the DS lite because I wanted my own camera. I still have the first photo I took with it :)

Also in Japan, they give themes for 3ds based on animes such as Evangelion or Hunter X Hunter
Nintendo Club gave away stuff all the time.
And the colourful default themes in the theme shop on european 3ds'. There is an orange basic theme. also they are free?!

Even though the Nintendo DSI shop closed on March 31st, 2017, it probably still works, but you'll no longer be able to download games or earn points.
I remember begging and begging my mum to add points to my DSi... eventually she did, and I bought Dr Mario and Mario vs Donkey Kong, and a few others.
