Can't be from a NG tube since that tube doesn't go through the vocal chords. NG tube goes to the esophagus

Why not, it all depends upon the diagnosis. Fortunately I met Dr Rangesh Paramesh, an excellent, outstanding, Ayurvedic Professor and researcher who diagnosed the problem in me and got my voice restored.

Certainly Ksheerabala oil (oil made out of Sida spp available from Kottakkal ayurveda pharmacy), chewing Sreekara Amodini (made by Nanjanagudu Sadvaidyashala), totally avoiding directly consuming refrigerated food, sipping hot water, avoiding oily food etc

I suffered from Vocal Chord paralysis in 1995 and the doctor advised 5 years voice rest, which was impossible to practice as i was a teacher. Ayurvedic treatment called Nasya with ksheera bala oil helped me to get my voice after a few months. Bala is Sida spp and the roots of the plant have nerve strengthening properties.

@@thesuburbkemcolian6219 Dear Sri Naqvi when I totally lost my voice before and when I could go to subramanya temple and just praise the god through singing before the god, which I had begged, I consider it as tremendous recovery. Certainly I cannot shout or speak aloud. But can handle a class of say 15 students for 2 to 3 hours and then rest. I consider this as recovery. I leave it to you to your wisdom to consider this as total recovery or not.
