Due to circumstances, I have had to learn a lot of things that my husband used to do. I want to thank you for explaining in detail how to change the oil. I am learning more and more all the time. I live in the country and can't get the snowblower into the vehicle , so doing maintenance on these units is going to help to keep them running properly.
I am glad that I have found this video on this type of engine oil change, because I was thinking about changing the oil once Spring comes around or next week Friday here will be 62 degrees where I live at. I read another comment stating the other Yellow Plug at the bottom of engine, I am thinking it is for crankcase oil, but I know the oil drain plug would be the bolt that is attached to the long metal tube made into the engine. I am going to save this video for reference and checking out on other videos to see if you have others. I have the same type of engine which is 208CC just like your friend. I also bought it around the same time of this video and use the snowblower in 2022 and 2023 snowstorm.
Good video. You might want to check your manual and the small picture next to the oil fill tube. Both clearly show that you should screw the dipstick all the way in to take an accurate reading. Not screwing it in might lead to overfilling the oil.
This engine has two oil drain plugs, one is in the front of the engine and the other one is on that shaft. I am still going to research more on GOOGLE what is the other yellow plug is for, I know it is not a drain plug. GOOGLE has many pictures of this engine and all of the parts names. What is crazy that these engine can use just regular car motor oil but it is better to use Premium 4 Cycle engine oil specifically made for 4 Cycle Engines "ONLY". Maybe I use some Mobil 1 Extended Performance Motor Oil 5W30? Amsoil works the best.
What I have watched from another video is that the other yellow plug on the bottom left side of the engine it may be the main engine oil fill plug, so you won't overdo it with the Dip Stick plug which is on top of the engine. ua-cam.com/video/vL69uUcG9_E/v-deo.html How to Change the Oil On Your Toro 721E Single Stage Snow Blower. Has the same yellow plug.

thank you..awesome helpful information 👍.
Glad it was helpful!
How often should the oil be changed. 3000 miles😀 ?
every 25 hours of use or once a season which ever comes first
@@bbbjim1fixedit Very true, now I am going to change my snowblower engine oil. I will still use 5W30 Synthetic Engine Oil.
LOL
So no oil filter?
they do not use an air filter or an oil filter on winter engines
This type of engine does not have any of that, only spark Plug and Carburetor.
Hi, what is the lower yellow plug for (on the left if standing in back)? Is that for the crankcase oil?
sorry I am not sure. This was a friend's machine, so I can't go take a look
I just looked at that on the same engine and it maybe for Gear Oil? Google for best result.
