I had 2 of these SanDisk cards the same as yours fail back to back in my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, they both in fact corrupted the data. There is a reason Im sure why the biggest card available from Samsung is still 512Gb. From that day forward I have never used and will never use anything SanDisk again. I am in the UK for your information. Great video though.
Are you sure the cards were legitimate? I always pretest my stuff to verify its the actual advertised size.
Wild, good to know, also good point that there are a ton of fakes on the market
@@drewtalks True, but I bought the first one from Amazon, which came from them direct instead of any third party supplier. The second one came direct from SanDisk as a replacement for the first.

Nothing worse than when you break a Micro SD Card, manufacturers need to make them stronger

I brought one for my pistation and installed my 1tb build and to be honest the card run spot on. Not sure if theres a advantage with the lower storage cards but i haven't noticed any difference as of yet.
How dumb must you be to use an sd card as a game Library.
@@TheFalseShepphard works a treat... im using a pistation and dont want usb ssd and wires running everywhere. Mirco sd is perfect for me.

Drew why dont you show us some real world file transfer speeds? Write some large 30-50 gb game collections or something to it so we can get real expectations of how it may perform vs the cheaper cards? My experiences is there is very little difference in these cards when using them for day to day things

Hey I have a SanDisk Ultra 1tb micro card and it want let me format it on my steam deck
I am going to buy one for my steam deck. $118 right now for black friday.
I bought from amazon but I'm looking at the info for the card, it says up to 190 read speed which is way to good to be true for $118. Guess we'll see when it gets here. The one on this video is 160 read speed.
I have a 512gb one i bought 1 year ago which has the exact specs for read/write speeds as the one in your video but obviously yours is 1tb. I bought a 1tb recently from amazon directly from them from a new listing saying the card does 190 read speed. That sounds a bit to good to be legit right? Guess we'll just have to see when it gets here. EDIT so apparently the 190 read speed 130 write speed is the "newer" 2022 model but I still find it suspicious how on amazon it says up to 5k recording but not on the western digital website.
