I recommend last stands just don't expect to ever get back up on your feet. One time i was playing as Libya in a Europe game, and the Uk was isolating. Eventually, when other nations started catching up to him, he launched a invasion into France and Norway at the same time. Both failed and he was pushed back to the isles to be bombarded by powerful countries. It was looking like he was about to lose, but when Italy tried to make landings he fought back and won. 2:52 *me going to war with other players day 1 because I organized my troops* means my entire army is on their frontline, and their army is spread throughout their territory, I lose a few infantry here and there yes, but in the end I start with over double the production of anyone else
I only just found this game! I love the research mechanic, so you can sort of decided what units you will have available. I decided to upgrade my infantry, a little artillery and then I'm focusing on my airforce/rockets. I'm still getting my head around the buildings and units and tactics and things
I generally agree with the “don’t do last stands” rule, most of the time they’re useless and just waste your time and hurt your stats, but in my latest game a last stand actually saved me from defeat. See, I was playing as Ethiopia and formed a coalition with a bunch of nations, including tanganyika. Early on I took over South Sudan, Somalia, and north Sudan to make a nice, comfortable large nation. However, a veteran player with great stats was controlling equatorial Gabon, and they were expanding fast. By the time I had taken all of that, they had Belgian Congo, most everything south of Belgian Congo, and were moving into Nigeria, so basically they had a third of Africa (and were the largest nation in the world). My friend tanganyika for some reason decided to attack Gabon with one army, and got destroyed. Since tan was inactive and I didn’t want to lose with them, I watched for how Gabon beat them, and found that they used tac bombers to destroy armies and armored cars to clean up the territory. So I invested heavily in interceptors and anti air, until I had the strongest army in the world with 70 units or so, and I also made an alliance with Spain (who had most of North Africa) so we would attack together on two fronts. Then, while I was at school, Gabon attacked first, and took most of my core and land with armored cars. I came home and had lost a lot of my resources, but luckily I still had most of my units, so instead of chasing around the cars I went on the offensive. While Spain also attacked Gabon from the north, I sent my entire army directly at Gabon’s core, using my planes to destroy theirs, and I took their capital. I had built a big enough army that despite losing my capital, my resources, and most of my buildings, I managed to destroy most of theirs, and since then they’ve gone afk and me and Spain have cut Africa in half, them taking everything north of Gabon’s core, me taking everything south and parallel. So usually last stands don’t work, but in this case, since I had reasons for hope, a last stand saved and vastly improved my country and helped to take out the largest country in the world.
I remember my first game where I just made a bunch of infantry and tank I had no idea how air worked so I remember later on my armies just die randomly every time I get in the game and I quit for like a whole week after lol
I’ve just discovered your channel, and I found some of the things you said quite interesting, how one nation can work harder than a coalition. That’s not true exactly. So me (western Australia), Queensland, indo China, India and the final nation changed a lot, we went into a huge coalition war with another large coalition in Africa. We set times of attack, gave tactical info, at a time we had Ukraine who had share map with the enemy, we used information for everyone to send bombers to obliterate everything. We could also have people on 24/7 as people were awake at different times, we’d defend each other’s territory and prevent attacks together. When Upper Volta attempted to land, about 20 battleships from every nation in the coalition opened fire. In return Volta ended up losing the war as they attempted to land with no naval power. If it was just me I wouldn’t have had enough troops ready to protect everywhere and support the invasion.
My strategy is I use a good amount of artillery and I use the land to my advantage. Usually as Yugoslavia. Under rated if you ask me. Not big but I find it not taken a lot. I use the surrounding mountains and Italy to shield my core land. I take over Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania and Greece. If I need to ill put artillery in the mountains for defense. Mountains slow them down but don't affect artillery damage. I can usually weaken the army coming that way. And then if I can ally myself with italy I mean that just leaves the Adriatic sea. Which is narrow and easy to block. I love Yugoslavia
Hey I'm playing as Yugoslavia right now! I love playing them too! If you fortify the Adriatic the border with Italy is so small and mountainous they can't threaten you. I'm my current game I'm allied with Finland and Sweden and at war with a coalition of Libya, Egypt and Caucasus. My allies are inexperienced and my enemies have really good stats. Wish me luck!
I have three playstyles: Submission Bombing (Air focus), Blitzkrieg (Air bombers + Mecanized artillery, infantry and tanks) and Guerrilla (Quick pushes to split the country and create many fronts, attacking and retreating and making it impossible to discern what I have and how I am attacking). On coalitions I tend to use Submission. I’m the plane guy. Alone it’s Blitzkrieg but if I have strong neighbors I do Guerrilla. All work out pretty good and have won at least 3 games with each style. Tho the Guerrilla one is pretty time consuming and difficult to master.
Just finished my first Call of War game and it lasted for a month and won't be going back to the game. I mean I won, but it just took way too long to complete. It also required me to be on every couple of hours which, I don't have time for. Also there was no tutorial so, I had no clue what I was doing. I played in a ranked game (which I didn't know at the time). I played as the U.S I was lucky I had a small NPC faction to take over in the beginning and Canada, which the player, was AFK. So Canada was easy pickings. But I think I played the Allied doctrine to its advantages, there wasn't a single time when my research was idle. I was in a Coalition with Finland and later Spain. I put a big focus on my navy so, built I think 15 battleships, which in the end of the game were all level 5. There were two other Coalitions, one with Soviet Russia and Russian Empire with the Caucasus. The other was Turkey, Algeria and Egypt. Turkey chose to attack both the Caucasus and Finland. I immediately declared war on Turkey and sent troops over to Europe, the bulk of my troops were 3 days away from Europe. But the closest was an infantry regiment that was 14 hours away. So, I used them to do what I could to help Finland with Turkey. But because I put so much resources on research my units were level 4 and everyone else still had level 1 units. So my infantry regiment was able to wipe out an entire Turkish tank division because the turks still had level 1 units. My coalition Allied with the Russian coalition against Turkey, Egypt and Algeria. My navy Established naval superiority in the Mediterranean with ease. After they were defeated. I went AFK for a while but came back (I was really at that point, getting tired of the game because it was going on about 2 weeks.) I came back to the game about 1 week later find all my territories still under my control, but now at war with the Russian coalition. Spain was still active, Finland went AFK and was wiped out. I cane back to the game and sent my troops back to Europe. And found the AI got level 5 units for me and everyone still had level 1 or level 2 units, (Russians had level 3 infantry but that was it). I reseched nukes, and nuked Russians 4 times (Lenningrad, Moscow, Stalingrad Gorky) and I was the only player that had them. Finally the Game ended I had 30% of Research complete, and was technologically most advanced player. The 2nd was Denmark (which was AI controlled during the entire game) they were 11%. All the players had 9 or 8 % complete. My coalition had almost all of Europe under our (Spain and I) control and had 990 points in the end when the game finally ended and we won. What was left of Finland was under my control. The game lasted for 30 days an entire month! Thus is why I'm not going back to Call of War, after my first is finally over. Also: the historical inaccuracies like example show a picture of a Colorado class battleship and say it's a North Carolina class battleship, you have to be constantly be on and the games take for an eternity to complete. Don't get me wrong it's fun but it takes up way too much time I don't have. So, I Uninstalled it on my phone and won't be going back to it. If you were in my game, my username was Starfleet1701
I played the game since 2015-2016, back when I could have 3 accounts and have 30 man coalitions in the same map, lots have changed, the aircraft carrier used to be a new thing, same about nukes and rockets, lots has changed, same about strategy, a stacked army could be unstoppable, but with enough planes or the right rocket hit could change a lot
I really dig these videos. I’m currently just a little too busy to devote the necessary time and attention to a game, so it’s great being able to get some satisfaction out of a 25 min synthesis. I will say I’m not so sure about your statement of going for AI first and giving a couple days of advancement before attacking another player. I’ve always left AI countries as temporary buffers while I mass all my forces into an overwhelming first strike. This works every time for me and can be completed within roughly the first 24-36 hours. I enjoyed your Sweden play throughs. I like to start in the north as well; Saskatchewan.
This video is so helpful. I just lost my first game because I made all of the mistakes you talked about. I’m now on my second and it has good prospects
i joined call of war for the first time as canada the first time and it was pain. the amount of time it takes to go from province to province early game was the worst.
Playing my first call of war game rn, playing as Libya and am in a coalition with my friends, Egypt, French Sudan, and Angola. Belgian Congo was in our coalition but was wiped out by Tanganyika. We own most of Africa and are readying troops to attack South America
Love the game but it is kinda annoying when your in a good strong coalition but most of them end up not playing anymore then your left with a coalition attacking you and your by yourself basically so you get over run by 5 nations and no help then slowly they take over the other 4 countries in your coalition then you just melt away lol .
I'm usually an Allies player bc of the size of ur army that you can make, but Axis is good too bc u have powerful troops and really once u get industry going you can take off. On day one, I attack an AI to get an idea of who's good and who I want to kill, attempt to make allies with everyone, and start making troops. I make industries overnight for the first week, and get Rocket artillery ASAP. After my allies go inactive, I use the right of way to get inside their cities, then declare war. I minimize the number of my borders with enemy countries, and maximize my border with allies. This works against inactive players bc when ur global popularity gets low enough, they declare war on you without much of a warning. Hope I helped some people wasting my time on this :)
I noticed that you didn't build fortifications. On some places, it could be really good, especially since you're Sweden, you could have had some chokepoints in the north where an inferior army could hold superior numbers for a longer time which would allow you to redeploy or attack, or flank or whatever. If you put defensive troops on those positions (so anti-tanks, tanks, and infantry) and you put artillery behind, you'll be able to deal a lot of damages. As for the size, it's true that being 1v5 might give the 1 an advantage, but, though this could have changed since I last played the game, being too big has a huge public order bonus, and tons of provinces can revolt and go to someone else. I once became a major power in a 100 players map with Finland by receiving up to 3/4 regions daily for a few days because someone was just rolling through everyone. When it comes to naval defense, I'd suggest only using submarines to surround your coasts. Cruisers can be spotted and can be avoided with crafty pathfindings. Submarines are cheaper, invisible, and can actually hold the enemy. The cruiser can/will fire from a distance but it's usually not stopping them. The submarines are doing just that.
When I first started in Sweden and took Norway I was actually taking land for Finland because I didn’t notice that the morale was actually an issue and Finland gained Oslo for free even though they might have been afk
I agree with the dont colonize the Americas but it depends on how long the games been going on for if it’s early-mid game then don’t do it but if it’s late game and you have no more plans in your area then go for it
my first call of war game went GREAT, it felt like the game was actually gonna be easy, i played as south usa, and i got half of north usa, and most of cuba by day 2, invaded detroit, and then canada, both succesful, i had a powerful navy, and i was a superpower, and then the other superpowers invited me in, and i joined, and the coalition won the game by day 10, i didnt have time to invade britain lol
Units I use pretty much every time because I just find that it works (for me) Infantry, light (and some medium) tanks), interceptors, attack bombers, all naval units and flying bombs. Of course it depends on which nation I play but most of the time I play nations with a coast. And yeah, sometimes I use things like paratroopers and commandos but I never really got that far into the game that it seemed like I really needed that kind of troops (I mostly quited halfway into the game because of irl reasons or because I knew I would lose the game anyway) Also, if you'd like to play a game with me, hit me up :)
Bro please tell me 1 think call of war formed me admin of that round and it says I can replace the slot of offline player but o don't know how to use it.
When I play call of war I usually spam infantry, armoured car ,light tank and normal bombers, but I use commandos and medium tanks,I usually fight in the sea cus i have 4 level 3 aircraft carriers and it's full of bombers and usually rain hell for 8 hours straight by 32 bombers
i played so much that my Country/Uk was full of troops aircrafts and tanks and more and it was too much and there was once a time were a country tried to invade me they lost all thier armie and i did not get a scratch!
@GHSH you must move the aircraft directly at the dot that the aircraft carrier is located or its a bug or something cus i dont have that problem unless the aircraft carrier is full
Nothing to do with experience . If you lack intelligence or strategic thought yeah, you need 3+ games to learn . Personally I kicked ass from my first game
karmakut and jackiefish made video's about how to join step by step, in their call to arms/ call of war videos. but ill try to explain, so when diplex makes a video about him hosting another game, he will put the game id in the discription and its pasword. So you will have to make an call of war account at callofwar.com (use the link he puts in the discription for extra bonuses). Then in the top you wil have 'comunity, games, ranking alliance and shop'. You click on 'games' there will be a tab beneath it with 'new game' click that then in the search bar you will have to put the game code that diplex put in the discription of his video the game should pop up and then you'll click join game and put in the pasword then you'll pick a nation and wait for the game to start

My best moment was when I was playing with my family and some friends and my brother had move his army to one city (he’s not very good) then I dropped an atomic bomb on his army and well he then got invaded and steamrolled
Hey! I’m looking at this game and I gotta know something. In another one of their games, Conflict of Nations WW3, 1 hour IRL equates to 4 hours in game, is this how it is in this game as well? This game looks super awesome.
@@appleman6290 it depends on the game mode because beginner it’s much faster in game Then there is Europe war which is what I play and it takes about 3 hours to disembark troops from ships and about 1-3 hours for troops to March city to city And world at war is 2-4 hours to move city to city
My first call of war match I picked Germany I conquered Italy France Belgium Spain then didn’t play for one day and my ally Poland backstabbed me crippling me I was eventually able to hold him off until my atomic bomb was ready and destroyed a huge part of his army but then he allied with Russia sending troops through then the Uk declared war on me and that was basically the end
my first call of war games was Europe - 22 nations and i did a roleplay in that map It was first Commies vs Axis+Allies I defeated Axis at Europe with my Ally C.Russia and Greater Finland Luckily my coalition had support from a different coalition.. too and later we fought with Allies.. and at last e stayed o. peace.. there were 11 players left at last.. and we were in peace till the end.. later the game ended by the game creator.. Each and every survivor got golds ;) Of course my coalition got the most.. coz of leading ^^
I downloaded this like 2 years ago but keep installing and uninstalling and reinstalling. Cuz yh idk why. Playing as france in road to war. Doing pretty well
1st time I’ve played and I got attacked by Turkey and I had 10 Lvl 3 light tanks and I handed Turkey their ass and wiped out 12 units and only took 1/4 damage. I’m Yugoslavia and have conquered 4 nations so far. The checks, Austria, Romania, and Bulgaria. I’m on day 9. Oh I also took out Greece too. So that’s 5 nations wow.
i know that im late but do to my anxiety i end up invading multiple country at the same time but i can stack good troops so it ends up being a satisfiying sucess.

I have been playing for years... it was intresting to see you get better

I played this game 3 days ago . Luckily i watch this video to avoid more mistake in the future
Great video. I have been playing since May and learn something new every game.
Wanna be allies
I’m playing as Finland and is the first time I’m playing the game.
And omg this game takes so long time to do stuff
Well yeah but it doesnt matter it keeps you playing the game like honestly just log in 2 times a day
It's a real time strategy, and honestly i love this game, you literally don't get bored and it makes you feel like an actual Ww2 general
i joined call of war for the first time as canada the first time and it was pain. the amount of time it takes to go from province to province early game was the worst.
Playing my first call of war game rn, playing as Libya and am in a coalition with my friends, Egypt, French Sudan, and Angola. Belgian Congo was in our coalition but was wiped out by Tanganyika. We own most of Africa and are readying troops to attack South America
Love the game but it is kinda annoying when your in a good strong coalition but most of them end up not playing anymore then your left with a coalition attacking you and your by yourself basically so you get over run by 5 nations and no help then slowly they take over the other 4 countries in your coalition then you just melt away lol .
so, in theory, should i concentrate my forces all at one of attack from multiple sides
From experience it works strike deep and strike hard
Make your army movement overlap
Hope to get in a game. I've missed out on the last 3 :)
What I learned from playing called of war: don’t do it your time will never come back. Holy shit god the time will never come back

@@_--Reaper--_ FR THO, like I’m literally level 145 and I barely play
for real after i finish these 3 games im doing im gonna take a break and just only come on for my free gold and any 6x events
Looks pretty good. Im used to the Paradox games but this is great for beginners.
Love this game but I replaced it with HOI4
When I first started in Sweden and took Norway I was actually taking land for Finland because I didn’t notice that the morale was actually an issue and Finland gained Oslo for free even though they might have been afk
I agree with the dont colonize the Americas but it depends on how long the games been going on for if it’s early-mid game then don’t do it but if it’s late game and you have no more plans in your area then go for it
The reason I don’t play this game anymore is because so many people use gold when they know they can’t win normally
yeah one player (my friend) ran out of gold and know one knew until abit after he dies becuz lots of nations gang up on him
2024 still goin strong
9:39 challenge accepted. i managed to keep 20 units in a single city until everyone went afk. none of the units died at all
I got a call of war ad on this video
you should make more call of war content its what brought mto your channel
Would you say it’s a good idea to use submarines to scout enemy ports and coast lines to see where enemy ships are and holes in their coastal defence?
my first call of war game went GREAT, it felt like the game was actually gonna be easy, i played as south usa, and i got half of north usa, and most of cuba by day 2, invaded detroit, and then canada, both succesful, i had a powerful navy, and i was a superpower, and then the other superpowers invited me in, and i joined, and the coalition won the game by day 10, i didnt have time to invade britain lol
It looks so different now
It's actually pretty decent. I was pretty salty after"High Command" ran out but it seems more balanced now
Units I use pretty much every time because I just find that it works (for me)
Infantry, light (and some medium) tanks), interceptors, attack bombers, all naval units and flying bombs.
Of course it depends on which nation I play but most of the time I play nations with a coast.
And yeah, sometimes I use things like paratroopers and commandos but I never really got that far into the game that it seemed like I really needed that kind of troops (I mostly quited halfway into the game because of irl reasons or because I knew I would lose the game anyway)
Also, if you'd like to play a game with me, hit me up :)
a SMALL navy.....

Bro please tell me 1 think call of war formed me admin of that round and it says I can replace the slot of offline player but o don't know how to use it.
Gurjot Singh they stopped doing that because players were abusing it
When I play call of war I usually spam infantry, armoured car ,light tank and normal bombers, but I use commandos and medium tanks,I usually fight in the sea cus i have 4 level 3 aircraft carriers and it's full of bombers and usually rain hell for 8 hours straight by 32 bombers
Wait if I get membership on phone can the membership also be seen in pc
Wish he would play call of war again sad that he does not play anymore

Call of War: P2W
I just started, but ive played alot of supremacy 1914(basically this game but ww1) and im playing Germany on a 22 europe server
The only thing I hate about call of war is crying because the round ended and you need to say goodbye to teammates that you befriended
i played so much that my Country/Uk was full of troops aircrafts and tanks and more and it was too much and there was once a time were a country tried to invade me they lost all thier armie and i did not get a scratch!
That's why I spam bombers+aircraft carriers(took down a lot of people for a while before I got bored)
@GHSH you must move the aircraft directly at the dot that the aircraft carrier is located or its a bug or something cus i dont have that problem unless the aircraft carrier is full
@GHSH I think you should move the aircraft carrier farther from the port cus that fixes the problem for me
U should really play conquerors 3 or rise of nations on roblox. Rise of nation wont take years and u can easily do stuff.
I only construct three units: militia, subs, and strategic bombers. Don’t need anything else.
Hi there! Just asking if there is a single player mode with faster turns.
Nothing to do with experience . If you lack intelligence or strategic thought yeah, you need 3+ games to learn . Personally I kicked ass from my first game
Dude in 2 weeks i had an insane force of heavy tanks and just destroyed everyone and got a quick victory, heavy tanks are very op
Thanks for advice im researching medium tanks
heavy tabks are slow i recommend using medium tank for blitzreig and heavy tanks to destroy large divisions

I wanna join a custom game with you but I do t know how if someone could explain it to me I would be super happy
karmakut and jackiefish made video's about how to join step by step, in their call to arms/ call of war videos.
but ill try to explain, so when diplex makes a video about him hosting another game, he will put the game id in the discription and its pasword.
So you will have to make an call of war account at callofwar.com (use the link he puts in the discription for extra bonuses).
Then in the top you wil have 'comunity, games, ranking alliance and shop'.
You click on 'games'
there will be a tab beneath it with 'new game' click that
then in the search bar you will have to put the game code that diplex put in the discription of his video
the game should pop up and then you'll click join game and put in the pasword
then you'll pick a nation and wait for the game to start
I just started and bloody Algeria and Turkey declared war on me (I'm playing as the Caucasus), so naturally I'm sending forces to attack!

@@appleman6290 it depends on the game mode because beginner it’s much faster in game
Then there is Europe war which is what I play and it takes about 3 hours to disembark troops from ships and about 1-3 hours for troops to March city to city
And world at war is 2-4 hours to move city to city
My first call of war match I picked Germany I conquered Italy France Belgium Spain then didn’t play for one day and my ally Poland backstabbed me crippling me I was eventually able to hold him off until my atomic bomb was ready and destroyed a huge part of his army but then he allied with Russia sending troops through then the Uk declared war on me and that was basically the end
Yea that's why I keep an eye on my allies and if they look good then I usually try some sort of trick on them to kill them off.

my first call of war games was Europe - 22 nations
and i did a roleplay in that map
It was first
Commies vs Axis+Allies
I defeated Axis at Europe with my Ally C.Russia and Greater Finland
Luckily my coalition had support from a different coalition.. too and later we fought with Allies.. and at last e stayed o. peace.. there were 11 players left at last.. and we were in peace till the end.. later the game ended by the game creator..
Each and every survivor got golds ;)
