I am a bookworm...it's my favourite place 😊❣️❤️
Brings back a lot of nostalgia from my school days... It was an annual ritual to visit here, and return with bagful of novels, comics, and atlas and maps even 😋
When you said the word "Maa" uffff.... Its melt my heat 😍❤️✨
You posting videos frequently. That's so good! It's makes me happy to watch your new video. With much longer hair and new delivery style, your present presentation looks much easier, more flawless in my view.
On February 3, 1997, a stall at the 33rd Kolkata Book Fair at Maidan caught fire and burned down one-third of the entire complex.
More than 100,000 books were charred in the fire and one person named Jiten Seal died from a heart attack during the stampede. The fire broke out on the sixth day when the footfall had reached a crescendo.
You forgot to see an another thing, the main attraction of this year's book fair is Bangladesh. The main theme has been arranged on the 50th independence anniversary of Bangladesh.
I did! I went again today, so was able to explore more of the bookfair 👍🏻
Another great video from you. Missing the book fair of Kolkata. Thanking you for showing it on your video. Well, the books you purchased, are rare very choices. Keep up your good work
Please do check out the Ananda Publishers stall. You can come from gate no. 4 The stall no. is 446.
You just came and passed by the stall but didn't entered. 4:50 to 4:58 in this video.
Yor are so sweet❤❤❤
Great 👍 show !! Come back in the eve …. Crowd gets crazy after the sun sets 😄
I think you should have gone in the evening. It's a different atmosphere then with more live music just like the live traditional baool folk song you witnessed. Moreover, you also could have gone to more stalls like "country" specific ones, comprising books in various languages incl English of course . But I'm glad you enjoyed and made the most out of it especially with your mother in law. I went there just today, after so many years because I don't permanently stay in Kolkata anymore.
Thanks for showing what you bought, one or two of which I am going to put in my bucket list. Subbed.
Thank you! I did go again another day in the afternoon and looked at more book stalls, it was really great!
really awesome... wish you happy woman's day... really enjoyed your book fair vlog 😊😊
Hi Alli... So nice video.... Let me let you its "Namaskar bandhu gana".... love from New Delhi ❤️
Read Bengali books of Manik Bandopadhyay and rabindranath nath Tagore!! They are best story tellers of human life.
The ones that are dedicated for different countries usually have some panels with people who hare advocating for the different literary traditions of those countries. And if you had visited the fair a few days earlier, I'm sure you'd have been able to find more books in those stalls. Moreover, I heard they were selling a lot of Japanese Manga this year and there was also a cosplay event held at the fair premises. Nonetheless, I am sure you'll be more accustomed to the whole scenario of the Book Fair if you frequent it a few more times in the coming years 😊
Thank you!

I bought the book 'Fundamentals of Physics' by Halliday , Resnick and Walker back in the 2013 Kolkata Bookfair from Wiley Publication's stall. That was the first American book that I had ever read. Did you read this book too Alaina?
Unfortunately, I have not, I did not take much physics in school 😅
@@alainatoday8519 Well, this book is almost a cult classic in India among high school and college students, who are serious about physics. And along with this a Soviet problem book on physics by an author called IE Irodov. So Indians are learning from both US+Russia.😄
You forgot to mention another name for physics books..Irodov. I studied in 1996 for IIT preparation Resnik Halliday and Irodov. You made me nostalgic
@@nm3247 So did you finally make it to IIT? What are you doing now?
@ Alaina, Which counties participated this year?
I'm honestly not for sure. I only saw a couple of stalls.
Hi Alaina, the colour of the shirt you wore is so attractive. You are looking good.
