I agree that a rectangular shape for a watch is a lot more functional, but doesn't look as good as a round watch.
    Great review!

My work is usually mixed but among my many jobs is engineering at a toolmakers, the Ion-X glass would always gouge so I wanted sapphire but knowing that the crystal is properly protected from cracks. Picked up my Ultra 2 Thursday, the battery life is amazing, first full charge I made 49 hours with mixed uses including cell service when I left my phone and a few low power periods… really good longevity. Also I’m glad the orange dive band wasn’t as saturated as the Apple images made out, looks more muted and more versatile for more occasions! Great review and it’s exactly what I needed.

Thanks for watching! The dive band was initially my last choice when I first saw it, but has become my favorite

@@markguim it was middle ground to me, I respect that diving watches like subs and seamasters have always come on rubber bands and that quality of rubber bands can vary greatly(I think this is up there with the Swiss for soft touch though) but I really wanted the orange alpine loop(mainly because the watch theme is orange and secondly because who doesn’t love titanium and that has the most of the stuff!) but the current colours for the Ultra 2 are weak for me, I was going to go for the blue ocean band as that rings out the whole seamaster vibe I like but I decided to be brave and pick the colour that I actually loved the most which was the whacky orange, I’m glad it doesn’t explode in orange sunshine and actually keeps fairly subdued in most lighting but occasionally has a wonderful bright pop to it… it’s a very nice band and I respect the engineering on that retaining look with the splitting mechanism 😄
