Hey girl, are you experiencing a lot of shedding/ breakage? I got my ginacurl about a month ago and I feel like every time I wash my hair I lose a lot of it. What kind of brushes/combs are you using?

Hey hey 👋🏾 I don't use combs or brushes at all. I only finger detangle, and I make sure to thoroughly finger detangle when conditioning my hair. I feel like I'm experiencing a normal amount of shedding at this point, not much breakage. I also have been sticking to washing my hair twice a week for the last 6+ months. I wasn't following this at first or detangling that well in the shower and that did cause more shedding and breakage initially. Hopefully this helps!

do you get trims? if so, do they just skip the blow dry and silk press?

I got a trim during my 10 month retouch! There is a step where your hair looks almost like it's in a blow dried state, but really they applied some sort of solution to the hair, washed and rinsed it out, and towel dried to get it to that state. That's the step where they trim your hair if requested. (I've uploaded my retouch video also; you can view it around the 2:35 timeframe.)
