It's pretty good except for a MAJOR stupidly irksome thing. The bad writing in the pact part(24:12) is astounding. The kingdom wasn't trying to stop the elves from using dark magic, they placed a ban on themselves. Why are the dark elves involved AT ALL? Like WTF?!? Imagine the UK gov goes to the US: "We banned right side driving so let's sign a pact that if someone does, you'll come and punish them. Extradition is permitted if they resist"... Why have another kingdom enforce your laws via lethal means? Also, for a people who says they worship dark magic they're awfully quick to murder it's human practitioners. Why not just welcome human dark magicians in? I know it may sound stupid that it's bothering me so much but it marred my enjoyment of the whole thing. Which is a shame because it's still quite decent.
It is vary odd, my guess is that it was meant as a non aggression pact or truce thing. One that the humans hastily put together to satisfy the dark elves. But yeah the elves have way too much of a quick to murder thing with it.

So Australians get ordered to come back to England with the express purpose of killing a black magic user and the only reason for the survival is plot armor. Otherwise they would of killed the guy, no questions asked, who uses a power they worship.
The arrogance of royalty is strong. The prince didn't want someone he couldn't control around. Plus with the real villain feeding his narcissism, the prince was doomed to fail.
Because the "easiest" way for a writer to highlight how OP/competent/"nice" their MC supposedly is is to make everyone else cartoonishly evil and stupid.

This is stupid. MC constantly putting up with getting attacked and never retaliates or protects himself in any way. He can even create portable shields that fit in a pocket and he doesn't bother to equip himself with one. I'm tired of stories rewarding characters for being stupid.
