Will turn 37 in December. Can’t believe this song was released in July of 2000. Where the heck did our youth go?!. 😔 I used to watch MTV nonstop back then when I saw this video as the top song for that particular week in the summer of 2000. I asked my parents to buy me the CD Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water, which in my opinion, was probably the best album they ever produced. I miss being that teenager in high school in the early 2000s who loved to dress up like Fred Durst in his videos. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to travel through time and go back in time to relive your childhood and memories and why not, maybe even give yourself some advices about life and the future. It’s a shame many zoomers will never understand how good us millennials had it back in the day. Where are are my 30+ peeps from my generation?. 🙌🏼👏🏼
Vincent M Poor Fred. People often look down on him, and view him as this douchebag. What if you were a loner all of your life, and knew nothing of real socializing? Imagine how you would feel once you had hit international fame. He went crazy, because it was the first time in his life that he was accepted, and had followers. He took it a little far obviously; but come on, anyone in Fred's situation would have probably done the same. I know I would go crazy if I hit fame the way they did. I would probably be hated in no time also. Fred is a real intelligible guy, it's a shame, people judge him based on his past actions, when they know nothing of the real man he actually is.
Kieran Russell They looked down on him because of the incident in Woodstock where he encouraged people to float the boards around. He didn't realize that he was inciting a riot.
I really like Wes Borland making moves like jumping and turning around. He does it so effortlessly and makes it look like he is dancing. Incredible move!
I think this is one of the best structured songs ever. Every single part fits into the whole of the song perfectly. So I have to declare this song a masterpiece
Impossible to listen to this without getting hyped as the drop starts building with all those cymbals. To a full on release to the full on version of the theme. Still don't think anyone else has done the Mission Impossible theme better than this since. Its just fun to listen to. Awesome arrangement.
I was hyped all 2000 for this album and finally got it during the holiday season (specifically, Christmas) along with some Game Boy Color games! What an awesome year that was!

True, but that was the stage when nu metal became mainstream. For me the good old days were 93-99 when all nu metal first albums were amazing. Then limp Bizkit, linking park, papa roach, etc etc showed up and fucked everything up..

Rapping on a old existing track with distortion guitars and drums, it's so far to be a "masterpiece" as you say.
It's more for Reservoir Dogs than Mission Impossible 2.
