Gregg Miller developed the idea for Neuticles after his bloodhound, Buck, was castrated to stop his wandering.[3] Miller, along with a veterinarian, patented the procedure for implanting Neuticles.[4] To sell his idea, Miller established CTI (Canine Testicular Implant) Corporation,[3] and the first commercial Neuticles were implanted in 1995.[1] Miller won the 2005 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine, a parody of the real Nobel Prize, for the invention of Neuticles.[5][6]
While recognizing that responsible pet ownership requires neutering, nonetheless, many pet owners find themselves uncomfortable with such a disfiguring procedure. The permanently altered appearance of their pet serves as a constant reminder of their surgical choice. Comments by strangers who misidentify the gender of the pet may serve to exacerbate this discomfort.

The company states that humans cannot legally get Neuticles; while the materials in them are approved by the FDA, a second approval is required for similar implants in any specific areas of the human body.[8] In 2018 it was reported that Miller has no plans for Neuticles for humans due to the cost and the time needed for FDA approval.[9]
Opposition
In the UK, the regulatory body for veterinarians, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, states that the use of any form of cosmetic surgery is unethical.[10]
The Veterinary Council of New Zealand says "the insertion of neuticles (prosthetic testicles) cannot be justified. This procedure has no benefit to the animal and can be used to conceal genetic defects."[11]

On the reality television show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim Kardashian's dog, Rocky, was given Neuticles.[12][13]
On Season 2, Episode 10 “High School Reunion” of the television comedy The League, Kevin publishes in the group's high school reunion program that Andre had a “nudicle” inserted after he was “sack-tapped so hard that my left testicle was damaged and eventually had to be removed.”[citation needed]
On Season 2, Episode 7 "Who's the Boss?" of the adult animated TV show HouseBroken, one episode revolves around the character Diablo getting a pair of canine testicular implants called "Fauxnads"

As brave warriors march to either death or glory, the sky shall unfold for them and accept those who are slain fighting for their cause.
As the battle bore on, men and women lay down their lives, struck down by either blade or arrow.
This battle was not the first nor shall it be the last. On another very much like this one, the sky shall unfold again and more soldiers will die. But for what? What reason is there for people so brave to die?
Swords sang, shields thumbed, arrows whistled through the air and found their marks with soft thunks that were drowned out beneath battle cries and the screams of wounded.
On the third day, the sky unfolded and many were never seen again. Swords were dull, shields were broken, and there were no more arrows. The remaining soldiers were few, but the continued to fight with dull swords, blocking with fragments of broken shields, and firing scavenged arrows with missing heads or warped shafts. The fought hard and more were lost. By the end, the sky was unfolded and the souls of the fallen rose to the heavens.
