I’m 62 now but passed my test in the late 70’s on a crusader sports, which is basically the 4 speed version of your bike. One of my enduring memories is trying to kick it over but the bloody clutch slipped preventing you from turning the engine over to start it. I tried adjusting all sorts of things to stop it but to no avail, although it didn’t do it all the time! Some days it would be perfect and start easily….. it was very frustrating. I was only 17 at the time so couldn’t really be arsed to strip the lot down in those days, so ended up selling it on a good day, and bought a Z1 🤣 the things you do when you’re young…😂 Good luck with it, it brings back some great memories all be it some annoying ones . Having said that when it went it used to fly for an early 60’s 250.👍

Probably flooded and wet the spark plug after 5 or 6 kicks too. The main stand wasn't the strongest either better to start when i's on it's wheels! Looks nice mind!!!

If it is to far advanced don't run it to long in case you damage the piston

Yep completely agree, i have retarded the timing and now strobe lighted the engine to get the timing on the money, so I’m now happy it’s where it should be, thanks for you comment and hope you enjoyed it
