I haven't done that traverse, but I've gone up there to look at it. There is some fairly steep slab scrambling over big exposure, and with the recent snow-dusting I would be pretty concerned about verglas (invisible ice smears) on the rock. For a guy like me, it's too late in the season for that route.
Have you done Thatchtop to Powell traverse? Is it too late for that now?
