@@Cobalt17I'm going there anyway. Mufasa is not a box office failure, has make more X3 its base budget. Sonic 3 is more rentable, yes. But box office is about worldwide money and tickets sold, not rentability (if its about rentability, most B-series horror movies absolutly beat the ground with Sonic, Mufasa, and every other big movie). Mufasa has win in box office with a good diference, thats a fact. More people has choosen to go watch Mufasa over Sonic 3.
@@Cobalt17umm I’m pretty sure that Mufasa grossed a total of 335 million dollars, not 6 million? If the movie cost 200 million dollars and they got 6 million in tickets, that’s a major fail. And it wasn’t, they made a profit. A smaller profit than with the original lion king remake, but definitely a profit.
It’s already happening but I really, really don’t want two versions of Lion King that’ll just serve to confuse everyone talking about the franchise. Also, as other people have pointed out, they WILL find a way to fuck it up. Every single change they made to the remake served to make it worse. Most of the new lore for Mufasa wasn’t great either. I don’t expect them to make any meaningful changes to Simba’s Pride.
Please no more so-called 'live-action' remakes. As a big fan of the sequel, I absolutely don't want to see colors and emotions sucked out from it or hear its songs ruined like they were in the 2019 remake. The lore's incompleteness is where fanfiction feasts, after all.
While I respect your view on wanting this to be a live action movie I have to say It’s Fine The Way It Is & Doesn’t Need A Live Action Treatment So my opinion just leave it alone But great video regardless and I love Simba’s Pride Too 😊
I always wondered why they didn't go for a Happy Feet/Ga'Hoole approach to realism for the Lion King remake, where it's cinematically stylized with photorealistic characters. That's how I imagined it would be B4 it came out, but it's so boring, coming from someone who didn't mind the remakes.
It’s sad to see how “Mufasa: The Lion King” is nothing more than a soulless cash grab of a beloved animated classic. This prequel reeks of corporate greed and heartless exploitation, relying heavily on nostalgia-like Mufasa’s fall in the original Lion King-to reel people in. Even if this were done in 2D animation, it would still fail. Bringing back the original cast wouldn’t save it either. The best thing Disney could do is stop trying to "fix" what isn’t broken and move on. The more attention we give to these shallow, half-baked stories, the more Disney will keep churning them out. We need to stop entertaining these remakes and "what if" scenarios, even in 2D art. It’s not happening, and honestly, it shouldn’t. The fact that "Mufasa: The Lion King" won a Razzie for the Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel category speaks volumes. If you enjoyed this movie, that’s fine, but for many of us, there’s a reason we’ve stopped watching Disney content. If you want something genuinely engaging, go watch Once Upon a Time. It beautifully blends classic fairy tales, Disney characters, and modern-day storytelling. It’s on Disney+, and it’s far more creative than this soulless rehash. Disney can claim all they want about how much effort went into this prequel, but we all know it’s just nostalgia bait trying to fool viewers into watching a mediocre film. This movie is destined to flop as hard as Mufasa fell off the cliff in the original Lion King. Walt Disney would be ashamed. The Lion King 2 SHOULD Get A Live-Action Remake no we don't
When the first trailer of Mufasa came out and we found out they made Mufasa and Scar adopted brothers instead of biological brothers I immediatley thought they were gonna remake TLK 2. With Mufasa and Taka/Scar not being related they can make Kovu be Scars biological son in the remake and make the whole Scar/Kovu comparison the movie was so focused on make a lot more sense.
Yeah, they should make Nuka, Kovu and Vitani Scars cubs, like they were originally going to do before realizing that making Kovu Scar's cub would make him and Kiara cousins. I mean it would work now, right? Because Scar and Mufasa aren't blood related.
Not to rain on your parade, but despite the warnings of some other commenters here, I don’t think Disney would go the live-action remake route for DTV sequels in general. We know they won’t for Jungle Book, we know they won’t for Aladdin, and Halle Bailey wanted it for Little Mermaid, but that went about as well as both that remake’s performance and her own career afterwards (which is to say, not quite good enough for the masses in both cases). The key denominator in all these is that when/if their sequels come out, they’re all gonna be original films, a quota which was already fulfilled by Mufasa (which is equal parts prequel, yes, but that’s what happens when you include a present-day framing device just to give Beyoncé *something* to do), and if Disney feels like that quota has been fulfilled…why bother?
I would love having an official backstory for Zeera. But including Kiara's brother? as long as its after "We are one" song, it would be fine, as that is cannon to when he was born and as long as he is not there for the battle at the end, as he arrives after that has happened.
I think they should change it up a little, instead of Zira being scars love interest she should be the daughter of Kiros, she should be one of the surviving white lions/outsiders looking for revenge of her father, Vitani Nucca and Kovu should be her children but by the same father, and Kion should be with Timon and Pumba to spy on Kiara like in the original and he should play that protective little brother role along side Simba
I agree that Simba’s Pride deserves more attention and love. But I’m so done with the remakes, personally I’ve because very apathetic towards them. I think there’s better ways to do more with the film than remake it
Absolutely not The Lion King two is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies. Remaking it in this weird realistic style will look awful. Mufasa, the lion King was a terrible movie, and the animation was uncanny. There’s absolutely nothing appealing about watching CGI lions with their mouth moving up and down, and the animators have to stretch their faces out to give them expressions. There’s nothing appealing about that to children. Instead, why don’t they just go back to 2d animation and make another lion King movie this time it could be about Kiara, becoming queen of the Pride lands something new, and something original. The mufasa movie was god awful and has subtle messaging about woman being stronger and smarter than men, and men are dumb and lazy etc.
I feel like instead of The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride they should instead adapt the Lion guard as the second movie with the plot of the Lion Guard pilot of Kion (the protagonist of the show) forming the Lion guard having some episodes of season 1 and season 2 without scar that would be confusing as well as the movie having Kiara meet Kovu and the lion guard being in the scene of Simba and Zira arguing and then the events of The lion guard season 3 where Kion and the lion guard leave the pride lands to travel to the tree of life to heal Kion's scar then at the end of the movie theres a post credit scene of the lion guard being informed of Zira attacking the pride lands then the third movie will adapt Simba's pride taking place directly after the lion guard leaves the pride lands also giving reason to why Zira attacks now with Simba's pride being replicated and having a lot of extra scenes since the start is in the previous movie also being more accurate to why the lion guard mainly Kion isn't there during the movie as thats the canon reason and will be explained more then after Zira dies and the end happens, the lion guard returns to be informed of what happened (like in the show) and Kion who has an entire arc decides to give up the lion guard to Vitani since she's now the sibling of the future king and return to the tree of life and be king with Rani who is the love intrest of Kion in season three fixing all the plot holes and giving a really good Trilogy of Lion King Movies (also praying they remake the remake of the original since it looks really bad and since Mufasa came out they could do so much better and fix it)
I think the best way to discuss the outsider could be by using new plot lines, scars technically the true royal bloodline, use that belief. Could also use the knowledge that lions exist outside the pridelands and run by different morals to have lions dislike simba/mufasa. Scar could promise a better life to these outside lions or supporting lions within the pride if they help him overtake mufasa/simba.
Not really a fan of the "live-action" (photo-realistic animation) Lion King movies, but interestingly Kovu can actually be Scar's biological son now that Scar and Mufasa are not biologically related.
@DeTinyDog I don't know which producer you're talking about, but I don't think that statement applies to the original 1994 film. If the producer in question was not involved with original, he shouldn't have the right to retroactively retcon it decades later. Nothing in the original film suggested Scar and Mufasa were not actually relatives.
@@AuraLeafstormDonn Hann, it does. Feel free to look it up. And yes, this was misenterpeted as them not being brothers biologically or via adoption which is why the director's statement came afterwards, but it does NOT debunk Mufasa being adopted. No one would have commented anyways about the live-action universe in 2017.
I would rather have a Lion King 3 instead of 2, ...again. Of course you would have to kill Simba, probably to hype up the villain. (maybe a jaguar) Wouldn't that be beautifully heartbreaking? The wheel of the circle of life keeps turning.
Mufasa The Lion king that is over hated to me end up being a lot better than 2019 Lion King that I don't over hate as I found it just a ok movie to me with me knowing I'm so bias to really loving anything with Lions and Lion cubs I been up for checking out anything The Lion King that I still have as my all time favorite disney franchise. I feel I'll be fine with a Lion King Simba's pride remake as long as it's done right I feel will need more new songs as 2019 Spirit song is not a good song to me for Nala. Beyonce is not my Nala to me she is a good singer but she can't act. Her daughter Ivy Blue is laughingly a better access to me I enjoyed her as Kiara. For a live action Simba's pride Disney too me will need to use their emoting CGI photo realistic animals so I can feel the emotions of Kovu, Kiara they are all time favorites of mine from The Lion king 2 that I want done right. I love them so much I decided to make them my Lion king Troy OC parents. One thing I see as a better not some scenes in the 2019 was draged on not needed for like the mouse to be caught by Scar took a while. Rafiki discovering Simba is alive took a while the movie does not need to be longer in that kind of way. Just needs more music will be cool to me to have more for Zira, Vitani, Nuka Kiara, Kovu and have more orginal scenes too.
Mufasa is WAY too overhated, and it was an amazing movie. Now, what Disney is doing with he whole box office thingy with Sonic 3 is incredibly petty and downright selfish, but Mufasa itself was not bad at all. I don't care if anyone hates me for this, nobody is going to change my mind. Mufasa. Was. Good.
Only if the story is similar and if not better with same characters and plot such as zira and her kids but now since nala has a 2nd child the story might change unless they are planning on adding kion if that is even canon
Usually I would agree, but Simba's Pride for one actually has potential as a remake. What make the Jungle Book one actually good was the extra lore for Shere Khan, Simba's Pride has the same kind of potential
Please no not another soulless Lion King CGI remake especially one based off a good straight to video sequel… good lord I wish Disney would stop with these “ live action “ films already and go back to making good stories with new characters. ( so they failed with Wish honestly that movie could’ve been better if more time was put into place into the settings and songs a long with story. Raya and the last dragon wasn’t exactly terrible but it wasn’t good either but change the story a little and I think it could’ve worked … )
Just so you know... its not about race. These lions are representing different tribes, NOT race hence why Kiara said "we are the same". They're AFRICAN LIONS. Meaning they're all black people from Africa if they were converted to humans.
The Lion King: Six New Adventures is a collection of spin-off books of The Lion King, but they have "Kopa" as the prince heir of Pride Rock. He is the son of Simba and Nala. Not Kiara, but Kion is the logical new cub. Unless they go off in a third direction for some reason.

compared to Mufasa's measely $620M
Sonic films may not be AS successful, but there wasn't a dropoff of ONE BILLION DOLLARS
eat your heart out disney fans
Sonic loser
@@haidynivy8778Mufasa grossed $620M what are you both on? 💀
I need more TLK2 lore to consume yasssssss
Yes
Just so you know... its not about race. These lions are representing different tribes, NOT race hence why Kiara said "we are the same"
While I respect your view on wanting this to be a live action movie I have to say It’s Fine The Way It Is & Doesn’t Need A Live Action Treatment So my opinion just leave it alone But great video regardless and I love Simba’s Pride Too 😊
I always wondered why they didn't go for a Happy Feet/Ga'Hoole approach to realism for the Lion King remake, where it's cinematically stylized with photorealistic characters. That's how I imagined it would be B4 it came out, but it's so boring, coming from someone who didn't mind the remakes.
"if i'mthe last of my line, i must be strong!" this is why Mufasa is holding steady at Box Office
No, dude stop. No more exploiting these movies into this live-action madness. It's already descending into something bad.
Yeah, they should make Nuka, Kovu and Vitani Scars cubs, like they were originally going to do before realizing that making Kovu Scar's cub would make him and Kiara cousins.
I mean it would work now, right? Because Scar and Mufasa aren't blood related.
if they do make a remake they should definitely add kion somehow into the plot so that the lion guard can have less plot holes
Halle bailey is talented. She just had a baby too young and with the wrong person and that's the problem
I don't think you're being an idiot. Story wise I"m with ya. I just love 2D animation
I would love having an official backstory for Zeera. But including Kiara's brother? as long as its after "We are one" song, it would be fine, as that is cannon to when he was born and as long as he is not there for the battle at the end, as he arrives after that has happened.
Disney screwed up the live action version of The Lion King so bad... they better not DARE touch the sequel!
I’m down if they involve the lion guard plot, but also make it like Mufasa cause I really enjoyed it
I really wanna see a ferocious simba taking on multiple lioness outsiders
I agree that Simba’s Pride deserves more attention and love. But I’m so done with the remakes, personally I’ve because very apathetic towards them. I think there’s better ways to do more with the film than remake it
No no no no no no
This is one of my top 5 movies (yes, really) DO NOT RUIN IT
Absolutely not The Lion King two is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies.
I feel like instead of The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride they should instead adapt the Lion guard as the second movie with the plot of the Lion Guard pilot of Kion (the protagonist of the show) forming the Lion guard having some episodes of season 1 and season 2 without scar that would be confusing as well as the movie having Kiara meet Kovu and the lion guard being in the scene of Simba and Zira arguing and then the events of The lion guard season 3 where Kion and the lion guard leave the pride lands to travel to the tree of life to heal Kion's scar then at the end of the movie theres a post credit scene of the lion guard being informed of Zira attacking the pride lands then the third movie will adapt Simba's pride taking place directly after the lion guard leaves the pride lands also giving reason to why Zira attacks now with Simba's pride being replicated and having a lot of extra scenes since the start is in the previous movie also being more accurate to why the lion guard mainly Kion isn't there during the movie as thats the canon reason and will be explained more then after Zira dies and the end happens, the lion guard returns to be informed of what happened (like in the show) and Kion who has an entire arc decides to give up the lion guard to Vitani since she's now the sibling of the future king and return to the tree of life and be king with Rani who is the love intrest of Kion in season three fixing all the plot holes and giving a really good Trilogy of Lion King Movies (also praying they remake the remake of the original since it looks really bad and since Mufasa came out they could do so much better and fix it)
They said another lion king movie is in the works after the success of mufasa
I think the best way to discuss the outsider could be by using new plot lines, scars technically the true royal bloodline, use that belief. Could also use the knowledge that lions exist outside the pridelands and run by different morals to have lions dislike simba/mufasa. Scar could promise a better life to these outside lions or supporting lions within the pride if they help him overtake mufasa/simba.
If they do decide on it and pick someone who cares, this could be HUGE
Can you please do a review about the quality of Pocahontas?
Not really a fan of the "live-action" (photo-realistic animation) Lion King movies, but interestingly Kovu can actually be Scar's biological son now that Scar and Mufasa are not biologically related.
They were actually always not biologically related. The producer confirmed it in 2017!
Nah they'd mess it up for sure. Otherwise, we wouldn't have asked for a Lion King 1 Remake from Disney
I would rather have a Lion King 3 instead of 2, ...again.
Of course you would have to kill Simba, probably to hype up the villain. (maybe a jaguar)
Wouldn't that be beautifully heartbreaking?
We should've got this rather than Mufasa: The Lion King
Mufasa is WAY too overhated, and it was an amazing movie. Now, what Disney is doing with he whole box office thingy with Sonic 3 is incredibly petty and downright selfish, but Mufasa itself was not bad at all. I don't care if anyone hates me for this, nobody is going to change my mind. Mufasa. Was. Good.
Only if the story is similar and if not better with same characters and plot such as zira and her kids but now since nala has a 2nd child the story might change unless they are planning on adding kion if that is even canon
NO
I have a better idea, they should make a 3d remake for the lion king,
Actually scratch that, they should stop making cash grabs
The reason Mufasa is hated is because it was released up against Sonic 3 and were creating false marketing, and deleting replies.
Seeing what Disney does with live action remakes, I feel like this should be a big no no.
Raya and the last dragon wasn’t exactly terrible but it wasn’t good either but change the story a little and I think it could’ve worked … )
my one and only problem with any remake is the, story being the exact same, if there are no changes what's the point
I feel like live action remake of movies would be better if they focused on the origins of the characters instead of remaking the story
I'd be fine seeing a Simba's Pride remake providing background for Zira like they did with Shere Khan in the Jungle Book one.
@ okay but what I put is just my opinion on the topic
I like The lion king 2 wonder what a live action Kovu/Zira and others would be like
Zira should be one of Kiros lionesses, and her family are white Lions except for Kovu
I want to see It honestly.
Especially an excuse to see Kion again 😭
I only want the live action just so they can release the cartoon Kiara and Kovu figures like they did for the first LA
Just so you know... its not about race. These lions are representing different tribes, NOT race hence why Kiara said "we are the same". They're AFRICAN LIONS. Meaning they're all black people from Africa if they were converted to humans.
if they do made simba pride it will be difrent now that simba son was born as well .
he will have to have a place in the story .
I’d love to see this, absolutely agree mate
I really love this idea.
Kopa is not Canon to moves
@@WilliamThornberg-zr8ik I know, but technically neither was Kion originally.
Yes kion is Canon
@ Yup
Oh my goodness now this is one live action movie that needs to be made then stop with the live action movies Disney!!!!!
Or at least make more animations!!!!!! Good ones to!!!!!
No great ones!!!!!
Honestly I don't think you should have said that you wanted a live action remake of The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride because it's just going to rile up the anti Disney Live Action Remake people
Great idea
I love lion king 2
G-G GET OU-
No. They did Mufasa really dirty. The movie was boring and the songs so bad... they should stop doing love action. They are not good at all anymore.
I agreed this should be Disney get back to the top
No more live action movies
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did since it’s already confirmed another one’s in the works. 😅
It’s one of my favorite sequels too. 😁
Please no. The Lion King Live Action Remake and the Mufasa Movie are bad enough. I can’t live with The Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride or The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata also being turned into a live action abomination
Mufasa is a masterpiece that perfectly shows what envy could do when it goes out of control.
Don't give them ideas
How much is Disney paying you dawg?
So you’re part of the problem.. stop with the live action movies.. it’s just nostalgic slop
Live Action?
Lion King movies are my favorite but pleasae no more
a live action vitani would be cool to see but what they done with the franchise live action and animated i am not a huge fan of
Cool
This is the worst idea since taxes.
Please no. No more live action remakes!
Nah please keep this one away from being turned into a boring CGI real emotionless animals film.
No, no more live action remakes!
They already butchered Be Prepared, you're seriously not considering them butcher My Lullaby too, are you?!
I agree with you on Be Prepared, but MTLK honestly gives me new hope for Disney.
How bout no
