I change my mind all the time. She is coming along real nice, and I like that seat, but I'm still not sold on that smaller wheel up front, maybe it will grow on me. Peace!
@@edZILLA64 I'll know what I'll have to do when its on the new rear shocks as to exactly what I might us, up front, to get the look I want. Things change as you go along as you know.

King and queen all the way 👍🏻 I tried to nail down 25 years ago still figuring it out today 🤣 so many cool parts out there and sometimes you come across old parts you’ve never seen?! Decisions decisions 🤣
@@Billy-703 I agree with the King and Queen Billy. Yes there are many old parts that were discontinued in the past that were very cool. I am trying to use some that I have had stashed away on this project.
Absolutely fantastic video! I agree springers -by hand only- Margret is really coming along great 👍🏻 it seems like more and more if I have a question that’s not in my service manuals I’ll do a search…Example: Was on a Super E carb. I am doing throttle/idle cables on your video popped right up!!! 🤣 We’re lucky to have a guy like you so generous with videos and knowledge!!! Thanks Ralph!!!
Absolutely true! My dad has brand new Harley parts stacked up in the shop because, he constantly changes his mind. 😂 Nice build, man! I absolutely love springers. I learned something while working at the Harley dealership, though. The bearings in the neck get pretty beat up from the springer front end constantly flexing.
We all seem to accumulate a lot of stuff over the years. Could save ourselves some cash if we made up our minds lol. Thanks for the info and commenting.
Yep. He buys parts then finds out he can't use them, too. Like a new $200 Bell helmet. It fit fine on him in the motorcycle shop. Then when he went to use it while riding, it was trying to push his glasses off.

Nice job Ralph. Building bikes is fun. Especially when you have the parts, money, time & enthusiasm to bust it out. I was told by a older bike builder years ago that you want to match your angles up as best as possible for a neat looking job.
I am going to try and get the motor done soon. I have a few other things on the go as well and being only one old guy sometimes it is hard to keep up. But I will be doing the full engine build on here as she comes together. Thanks for commenting.

We cannot build new construction ridgeds here but if you have one already then you can run it as far as I understand. Stupid rule put in by a guy advising the govenment who hated bikers sadly. He is gone now but the rule still applies. Thanks for commenting.
Hey Ralph. For your tank, personally i would go with your long one but bring it up in the front. Like you could use the stock frame mount through the tank tabs. I think it would give more of the old school chopper. By the way, I’m a friend of Gus here in Halifax.
I looked at that but is sits way up above the back bone on a different angle and just did not look right. Going to lower it so it sits inline with the backbone. Thanks for your opinion. Gus is a great guy. Thanks for commenting.

Can't run rigids in Nova Scotia? I do in New Brunswick, weld on hard tail on a stock front section, just register it as a stock bike, been running mine that way for 6 years now
You cannot build a new custom bike and register it here if it is a ridged. Yes if you do that you can skirt around the rules. They are trying to clamp down on inspection stations, as I understand it here. But if you modify an already resgistered bike you can run them that way. Although our roads are not friendly to ride ridgeds on here like they are down south. I ran ridgeds for over 30 years here and still run my "Caged' bike in a Ness frame, occasionally. Thanks for commenting.
@itsmytimeletsgo yes I new that about a new build, fuck I hate Canada laws, makes this type of shit harder then it needs to be... Not enough people do it now a days to even fight it, most people are just clueless and don't understand

Sorry I would rather have the paper manual the king quean tank looks better then the first tank does .I like the seat and maybe you could get hippie to donate a sissy bar
Each to their own, and I also use my paper manuals all the time. But for some it is convenient to be able to access it on their cell phone while working on something as well. Going with the king and queen for sure. Hippie builds them for ridged bikes and would not work in a swing arm set up. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Ralph, Margaret sure is looking good. Didn’t realize how many pieces there were in a springer front end.
She sure does, and they are a lot of pieces that come together to make a complete springer. Thanks for commenting Dellas.
