I like how Broken Aeon has the Old Wolf Cursed greatsword on his back. Yeah yeah, I know it's for the buff... Imagine you're standing in an arena. A guy walks in with a greatsword sheathed on his back. And when you thought he's gonna unsheath it, he cracks his knuckle.
Funny enough I just built a character around the OWCS. Just full on leans into the weapon effect with pontiff eyes and carthus beacon/power within stacking. Honestly it’s moveset is well and good for most encounters. WA for the combo and punishing parry kings, healing and damage boosts if you press the attack, and throw on a hornet ring, sun princess ring, and a blessed caestus, and you’re set. Though I had moments I felt really bad about kicking a player’s butt. Mostly did spear of the church invasions as the boss. Ended up making a rule that if I end up fighting the same guy three times I’ll just let them win the third time.
Trusty Patches I have never come across a player using iron flesh. I'm not exaggerating, not a single player. The only time I've ever seen it used in my playthrough was with Holy Knight Hodrick. In fact, I was so not used to it that I was confused what the hell happened when he first casted it.
***** Apparently they aren't happy with how they handled poise, so you could hope for a chance of them fixing it, but then again, I dont see them restructuring an entire mechanic any time soon. It's a shame.
Nyxato They aren't happy with how they handled the /change/ read: removal of poise. This does not mean they aren't hapyp with the way it is, just the way they let us know about the change..
yeah, dragon bone smasher with cursed weapon, cracked catalyst, second chance, morion blade and clever rats ring. hits over a thousand ar. could 3 shot bosses on ng+ at level 75.
Dual wield shields were not that good actually. 2-handing greatshield was, thanks to jumping attacks and deflecting small weapons and 1h big weapons on hit.
I'm making a pretty fun build. The premise is that you are a footsoldier - received no formal training whatsoever, but with a well of vitality known only to the hard working peasant man. Starting class is Deprived. The point is that you do /not/ increase any of the "combat" stats - strength, dex, int and so forth. Just good ol' health and stamina. The weapons: > Raw Shortsword > Fire Dagger > Round Shield (Possibly Blessed for some HP regen.) > Talisman Spells: > Heal Aid Armor: > Footman Helmet > Assassin Armor (alternatively Black Hand Armor, but I prefer the Assassin one.) > Sellsword Gauntlet > Knight Leggings Rings: > Cloranthy Ring > Ring of Steel Protection > Flynn's Ring > Pontiff's Right Eye None of the rings are set in stone, you're free to swap them to your preference - just my suggestions. The idea of the build is a /very/ tough, but simple soldier with versatile weapons. The fire dagger's used for backstabs and parries, shortsword has great pokes and overall moveset - as well as having 110 in critical damage, to add. And to top it all off, adding a buff to the shortsword peaks its damage up nicely. Also it serves as a bit of a challenge, to make a build viable despite not investing into any "real" stats. It's possible! You could also alternatively swap the Shortsword for a Raw infused Hand Axe, Long- or Broadsword. Basically anything you are able to use with only 10 STR/DEX is allowed.
Your logic is fundamentally wrong because a "hard working" peasant would also have a decent amount of brute strength. The build is interesting nevertheless.
Feels amazing to get my build featured in this video! Glad you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed making it, Sunlightblade! Been a huge fan of this series (and your vids in general) for a long time and the builds on display here were steller. Next episode sounds like it's going to be fan-tastic, too!
Iron Flesh actually has a very backfire-like effect against lightning, as it *amplifies* the damage you take from lightning, instead of reducing it. Makes sense, you're covering yourself in Iron after all.
Hmm similar to Dark Souls 1 with the forest. And Dark Souls 2 with Heids tower. The only thing I'd complain about is build creativity that you mentioned.
I'd argue Souls II remained diverse in builds all the way up to Souls III it's only now 4 months after 3 that you see a ton of the cookie-cutter "I must win" builds.
I gotta give major props to this one. The Top Ten Creative Builds videos have always been some of my favorites over the years. Especially props to some of these, since my first (and main) character in this game has been a semi-ranged character. I mostly use Bows (have a Pontiff Sulyvhan Bow-only fight on my channel) and the only melee weapons I've been using have been the Manikin Claws and the Notched Whip. Thanks for the video, Sunlight!!!
I can only imagine how fun/challenging/headache-inducing a bow only build is, so props to number 4 for making it work. I really don't have a creative build yet. The most I have is a Pursuer cosplay and an Int/Faith Chaos Caestus build as a follow up to my character from DS1.
10) Sword and spear combo was a meta in DS2 9) Lovely use of punching. 8) This was a clever way to get damage and otherwise non-existent poise. 7) Kind of the same as sword and spear, but props for using the maces. 6) Uh oh... that could mean trouble. Still, that's clever. 5) Cosplay? Maybe? Idk. Looks very good though. 4) Well this beats the mobility builds I've seen. Lovely work :) 3) Common sorcerer meta. Props to his skill though. 2) Seen this with havel shield and dagger, but this has fashion souls behind it so that's a plus. 1) Props for variety. Looking forward to top ten trolls :P
The quickstep Iron Flesh seems tough to fight (which means I haven't fought one yet). You can't just wait out the Iron Flesh or press R1 until the quick step gets hit.
Dark souls 2 had a lot of metas. From was just really good at crushing them. I never really ran into many people using the same weapons. Which is a complete 180 from this game where everyone uses the tryhard swords, CCS, or O&U.
***** They can interrupted. I think it takes 1 swing from a 2 handed ultra to knock you out of the poise. I've been ruined a few times trying to cast in someone's face because of that.
I feel so validated that #2/1 are similar to my build back on release week. Heavy Armor + Thrall axe was just soooooooooooo good. Early game, raw shortsword + stamina allowed me to be infintely aggressive and wear out even the twinkest of opponent.
I think you're one of the few youtubers I always INSTA like when I click on the videos. As an massive soul series fan, I love ALL of your content and it's fucking amazing. Keep it up man!!
We have paired weapons in place of power standing as a sort of compromise. As for normal dual wielding, I wish they would've kept that instead of using the DS1 mechanic. Why am I trying to block by holding up a sword?
SLblade a new ds 3 countdown already? you work way too hard for us, man. dont feel like you have to do this all the time! thanks for all the hard work you do!
Anything involving iron flesh isn't creative, it's just stupid. Wanna know what happens when I, or anyone else who can play at even a decent level, see someone use iron flesh? We move back, wait, carry on.
Pretty much. Though the quickstep builds make it more interesting because you can't just smack them around with R1s until they get hit anymore due to the poise.
+DragonGodMillionare ? Well, my bad. Have you seen the comments on this video? Some guy said he was watching this while taking a shit. So why can't I say I watched this while eating cereal and then add a very stupid twist to it?
10) Neat. I use offhand rapier (quick, pairs well with slower weapons, can parry) and claw (bleed buildup, amazing rollcatch, can parry) with great success, never tried a spear. 9) Common 8) Iron flesh build. Very easy to work around. Not sure if I've seen anyone make use of the warcry skill with it though. 7) This one is sick. I love hammers. 6) Common one-shot parry build. Haven't ever thought to stack morion blades though. 5) An actually interesting cosplay. 4) Iron flesh build. Never seen this one. However, it would be even easier to work around than the last one. 3) Not too common, but I've seen it before and have tried several variations myself. 2) Most common iron flesh build 1) Meh. Anyone can use three weapons and be proficient. I stopped using a backup weapon (in duels) because switching midfight for a surprise combo or kill is too easy. Great video, but the list is a bit underwhelming. Maybe it seems a little monotonous because of all the iron flesh builds (which aren't very effective). How about a regen build? Poison? Sorcery AND miracles? Element infused weapons?
If I see you in PvP... I will be grinning so hard even if I lose the match, because meeting characters like yours is simply the coolest part of Dark Souls period ♥
I do similar based on WoW specs. This was beautiful sir. This has become an art form mixed with technical mastery of the game. Terrific commentary and breakdown. Ty for the entertainment
Both the immolation tinder playstyle and build are very generic for immolation tinder users bc it's quite effective (minus the use of the WA cuz that thing sucks.)
well u see a lot of people suck online, so there are many clips one can make wrecking someone who just sucks compared to the like 20 other times they couldn't get their build to work
Laetos A lot of builds dont work with shields. For example, my build uses a pretty heavy weapon, and I rely on the 2H combos for it, so if I were to equip a shield, I'd also have to switch my armor to keep myself under the weight limit, AND I'd be forced to handicap myself by using my weapon with one hand. At that point, I'd much rather trust my dodging skills.
I've always enjoyed Sunlight Blade top ten series and I never thought I would say nothing like this, but this has been the worst top ten series so far. Almost all of the builds were either copying ironflesh builds from PvP Skillz or not creative at all. Come on, is it really creative that guy playing with the Immolation Tinder as intended to be? I'm just trying to say that usually the content of these series are damming so good to see because of the brilliance of both the playing style and creativity of the players, and this time no one of they pop up.
+Decus Extinctum actually i think he did with the underrated builds series. i dont know how anybody could classify these builds as creative, all but i think 3 didnt used iron flesh, and the first one was okay but still op and not very cool.
Ugh when people say this. People have been doing certain things for a while. Just because someone popular makes a video about something people were already doing doesn't mean anything. If you're not popular people will not notice as much, nor give much props or credit. No matter how good the content may be.
You know, the reason people stopped submitting as much is due to how lackluster dark souls 3 is in comparison to the other games ( including dark souls 2 ) All of it is pure stunlock now and you just can't switch things up in dark souls 3.
I agree to an extent: see how all of this showcase was in duels? that's because invasions are a struggle to transition from an "all you can spam bukkakke" scenario into a "rolling pussy chase simulator 2016" while trying to avoid the "summoning another phantom edition" threat. It's tedious, it's unfair and you come out of a gank spank thinking it's not even worth it for the game's sake, when it's this shitty of a game.
A lit candle with a parry caestus. How to ruin your cosplay in one easy step. Damn if i knew, i would have posted my half Lorian, half Lothric build. More creative than half these submissions.
I made a build a long time ago when dark souls 3 first came out. It was purely a build of magic and once painting of ariandel and ringed city dropped, a miracle build as well. I would fight only using physical weapon based magic. Like soul greatsword, dark edge, farron flashsword, farron darts(magic throwing knives pretty much), and eventually old moonlight, the cleric disc thing, and the literal miracle bow magic. I called it my conjuration build. And of course 99 faith and intelligence. It was fun.
Maybe because you never see that weapon being used, and most players are too mentally challenged to make a proper/ build out of it, making mine unique?
That's how Dark Souls always was. Only DS2 had weapons that stood out. Whether it was because of fashion, moveset, or sheer damage. Everything could be made viable with effort. DS2 Is simply the best of its series. People simply need to swallow their pride and admit it.
ds1 is best for story and PvE. ds2 is best for PvP. ds3 is meh in PvP but good in PvE and story. I guess what im saying is theyre all good. hated bloodbornes system never even did PvP in it.
@Tofu Regardless how an invader came into the host's world - if both visibly agree to a duel by bowing and all that, then it is a duel and from then on it's about honor more than before.
It is seen as a negative gesture, yeah. Its basically like saying "you are below me, know your place" You usually use it after defeating people who heal during duels or after beating gank squads. Because you are at such a disadvantage in these situations it shows how much better you are than them.
Hahaha you have no idea how diverse you can express yourself in german english is a joke in comparison.. That says "carrier of cynders" if you're wondering.. next time try n think first
Woo hoo! New Vid! XD sorry for not submitting this time, couldent really call my dragon glass cannon creative anymore... but you know I'm subbing for trolls, I have a few in mind...
I'm glad to see somebody else tried the number 2 build. I tried it myself, but I focused too much on trying to make it a "Jack of all trades" type to really be viable. I'm gonna go back to Rosaria and rectify that, I think.
Random player: He's gonna unsheath it isn't he
Broken Aeon: *CRACKS KNUCKLES*
Random player: O_O"
Oh my......
They needed a good talking to
Aeon need no weapon!
It is a Trophy from one of his victims to show that he does'nt need anything other than his hand to pwn you
Funny enough I just built a character around the OWCS.
More like Top Ten Iron Flesh builds
To be fair, people hardly use iron flesh, so the fact that they can use it and not suck ass does take some creativity.
***** I haven't played DS3 in a while so maybe the meta's changed, but I highly doubt it.
Nyxato They aren't happy with how they handled the /change/ read: removal of poise. This does not mean they aren't hapyp with the way it is, just the way they let us know about the change..
That rope firebomb on #1 was the slickest thing I have ever witnessed.
Anderson40225 dude is a master of inventory, ultimate humiliation. id probably delete my game if someone did that to me
Oof
hey
Hey
hey
omgg proodd what upp
hey
Hey prod
Hell yeah! Thanks for using the video of my Candlestick Waifu build! I'm a huge fan of the channel.
Dear god, The Demon's Souls Morian Blade Hyper Cannon is back. Nope. Staying offline.
Ha, that was really a thing in Demon Souls?
The more you know!
yeah, dragon bone smasher with cursed weapon, cracked catalyst, second chance, morion blade and clever rats ring. hits over a thousand ar. could 3 shot bosses on ng+ at level 75.
I quit, I'm selling dark souls 3 **leaves**
+SunlightBlade You really didn't know? Franz (a German spy) did a run in demons souls a while back where he used a "hyper Mage build".
"people whine and say ds3 is broken and unbalanced...
they never played demon souls.
Anybody else taking a shit while watching this awesome vid
Join the club 💩
Can i join to?
please tell me you weren't beating it too.
You weren't beating it too.
Ayy you know it mate.
What is this?!
Why isn't the Great Otzdarva Clam in this vid?!
if only they brought back that dual wieldable shield from dark souls 2, would have been perfect...
+Wingdin “Void Daddy” Gaster the clam is ONE shield btw
This video was made before the clam build was there. for some reason he didnt upload it.
Dual wield shields were not that good actually. 2-handing greatshield was, thanks to jumping attacks and deflecting small weapons and 1h big weapons on hit.
yep
I'm making a pretty fun build.
The premise is that you are a footsoldier - received no formal training whatsoever, but with a well of vitality known only to the hard working peasant man.
Starting class is Deprived. The point is that you do /not/ increase any of the "combat" stats - strength, dex, int and so forth. Just good ol' health and stamina.
The weapons:
> Raw Shortsword
> Fire Dagger
> Round Shield (Possibly Blessed for some HP regen.)
> Talisman
Spells:
> Heal Aid
Armor:
> Footman Helmet
> Assassin Armor (alternatively Black Hand Armor, but I prefer the Assassin one.)
> Sellsword Gauntlet
> Knight Leggings
Rings:
> Cloranthy Ring
> Ring of Steel Protection
> Flynn's Ring
> Pontiff's Right Eye
None of the rings are set in stone, you're free to swap them to your preference - just my suggestions.
Is it okay if i do this? It sounds really interesting.
Sure thing! I actually made a reddit post of this too. www.reddit.com/r/darksouls3/comments/52ly6y/footman_build/
Your logic is fundamentally wrong because a "hard working" peasant would also have a decent amount of brute strength. The build is interesting nevertheless.
Jim Canterak not if the peasant is poor and has a diet with only a modest amount of strength building nutrients.
if you ever record any pvp with this build please let me know. I'm late but i figured there's a chance.
I love the music you use in these. It's very heroic and inspiring.
So much ironflesh
You're letting your love for your old ds2 ironflesh build show sunlightblade
To be fair, that build was pretty sweet.
Oh yes, it was. And I wouldve made that build in ds3 if the spell wasn't nerfed a lot
Same
It's the only way to be a semi tank because dark souls 3 is shit
Thegigafliga None of the games had the ability to tank, that doesn't mean they were all shit.
Iron Flesh actually has a very backfire-like effect against lightning, as it *amplifies* the damage you take from lightning, instead of reducing it. Makes sense, you're covering yourself in Iron after all.
Dark Souls 3: where creativity is dead and 98% of the pvp community is at pontifs
Hmm similar to Dark Souls 1 with the forest. And Dark Souls 2 with Heids tower. The only thing I'd complain about is build creativity that you mentioned.
+Agito FangK dark souls 2 with Iron Bridge*
Both were the main hotspots. Personally I played all my pvp at Heids tower. The other was usually filled with gank squad clubs I had no interest in.
burg and dlc where just as active so I have to disagree as well as anor londo
I'd argue Souls II remained diverse in builds all the way up to Souls III it's only now 4 months after 3 that you see a ton of the cookie-cutter "I must win" builds.
You could say number 5's waifu was hot.
"Using the Cast Light spell to look like a lit candle"
Candle Waifu lit af fam.
Haha!
+K MT "farm"
Autocorrect*
Did you wax off?
I feel like the last build seemed the most fun. It was well thought out as it indeed had pretty much a weapon/trick for every situation.
ur videos are awesome. Entertaining and rly rly high quality
Thank you eric! :]
SunlightBlade what's the song in the beginning
7:54 I came.
Thanks for the video, Sunlight!!!
dude people have been using iron flesh and a weapon with the quickstep weapon art for a long time including myself
Haven't even played the game and I knew it was a thing.
Yeah I saw that a while back in a video someone else made
Sunlight said in this Video that he never thought of this himself. GOTTA LOWER THE CREATIVITY STANDARDS FOR SUNLIGHTBLADE FOLKS!
+supasparkle salty because you didn't make it in?
Did you mean.. lightningblade *cough cough* ?
I shoulda submitted mine. Great work Zed!
I can only imagine how fun/challenging/headache-inducing a bow only build is, so props to number 4 for making it work.
I really don't have a creative build yet. The most I have is a Pursuer cosplay and an Int/Faith Chaos Caestus build as a follow up to my character from DS1.
the last build is amazing. this player must be a dark souls genius
10) Sword and spear combo was a meta in DS2
9) Lovely use of punching.
Lovely work :)
3) Common sorcerer meta.
A faith build is a hard counter to Iron Flesh. IF takes extra damage from lightning so a Sunlight Spear will hit very hard.
Dark souls 2 had a lot of metas. From was just really good at crushing them. I never really ran into many people using the same weapons. Which is a complete 180 from this game where everyone uses the tryhard swords, CCS, or O&U.
BarakalypseNow Combo the fact talismans give poise as well means your castings cant be interrupted.
***** They can interrupted. I think it takes 1 swing from a 2 handed ultra to knock you out of the poise. I've been ruined a few times trying to cast in someone's face because of that.
Your voice is so pleasant to listen to while whatching these epic duels... You are the best man!
I feel so validated that #2/1 are similar to my build back on release week. Heavy Armor + Thrall axe was just soooooooooooo good. Early game, raw shortsword + stamina allowed me to be infintely aggressive and wear out even the twinkest of opponent.
Awesome vid brother. Glad to see you back again 😏
idk why but its rare for #1 & 2 to actually be my favourites but you got me there this time.
That final build was just straight up awesome. I love versatile builds!
Omg I really made it into the video. Best day ever xD
Duuuuuude are you the num 10?????
@@raptorconshorts6798 hey I'm late to this but congrats man, that strat is pretty cool
Hey SunlightBlade been watching your vids since dark souls 1 and its been pleasure seeing the channel evolve. Keep up the good work boss
That rope firebomb kill on the #1 build... So much swag lol
For those complaining aboout the Iron Flesh... We wouldn't need to use it if we had poise.
Yep
rapier havel.
@LeadFaun "anything other than curved and straight swords dont need to be in the game" that's what you sound like
@LeadFaun no you're just wrong
@LeadFaun damn, you guys still play ds3?
I think you're one of the few youtubers I always INSTA like when I click on the videos. As an massive soul series fan, I love ALL of your content and it's fucking amazing. Keep it up man!!
only if ds3 kept ds2 dual wield system
If only*
The power stance dual wielding or regular duel wielding?
+K MT Power stance I imagine. I hardly played with it but it had promise
We have paired weapons in place of power standing as a sort of compromise. As for normal dual wielding, I wish they would've kept that instead of using the DS1 mechanic. Why am I trying to block by holding up a sword?
same here. i want that
Great video, really enjoyed the production on this one. A great example of how to make DS videos!
Thanks for number 2! Shame everyone hates iron flesh, I didn't know it was going to be so popular.
iron bodies unite!
lol
thanks for linking the music dude ! amazing video =)
That Number 1 build is sure awesome. Why haven't I think of something like that...
SLblade a new ds 3 countdown already? you work way too hard for us, man. dont feel like you have to do this all the time! thanks for all the hard work you do!
Wait.... you can have a creative build in DS3?! I didnt know that was possible
"Creative" in this case means using a spear and a longsword...
Thank UA-cam 😂
That punchy boi build is so dope. I would've never thought of the fist weapon as even good
Anything involving iron flesh isn't creative, it's just stupid. Wanna know what happens when I, or anyone else who can play at even a decent level, see someone use iron flesh? We move back, wait, carry on.
Pretty much. Though the quickstep builds make it more interesting because you can't just smack them around with R1s until they get hit anymore due to the poise.
Faith builds actually wreck Iron Flesh. If they get hit with lightning while using IF they take extra damage.
No one uses pure Faith builds.
+KidAnime20 i use
KidAnime20 a lot of people do
SunlightBlade is like the Austin Evans of dark souls, its so hard to find something to dislike about him.
I ate cereal and rubbed my nipples at the same time while watching this video.
+DragonGodMillionare Why? That's rather harsh.
Mr Neda "I ate cereal and rubbed my nipples at the same time while watching this video." That's why. :)
+DragonGodMillionare Can't a man have pleasure AND substance at the same time?
Mr Neda Sure but keep that shit to yourself. Save saying this stuff for a cancer UA-cam comments section like LeafyisQueer.
+DragonGodMillionare ? Well, my bad. Have you seen the comments on this video? Some guy said he was watching this while taking a shit. So why can't I say I watched this while eating cereal and then add a very stupid twist to it?
I really love your top ten series! Pls keep it up
10) Neat. I use offhand rapier (quick, pairs well with slower weapons, can parry) and claw (bleed buildup, amazing rollcatch, can parry) with great success, never tried a spear.
9) Common
8) Iron flesh build.
2) Most common iron flesh build
1) Meh.
Element infused weapons?
trying to find my top ds3 youtuber... ur in the running for sure
Number one is not a jack-of-all-trades. That would mean that he is kinda good at everything. That guy is freaking dark souls darth vader.
Dark Vader...or Darth Souls?
K MT Dark souls... Darth Vader
Love the series man so please don't ever stop :).
when is the next top 10 going to be uploaded it's been a while
Great builds. #1 was great tactical response for any situation and impressive truly making use of all weapon spots
That #1 spot looks like a _terrifying opponent._ Wonder if he plays on PS4?
i do :]
If I see you in PvP... I will be grinning so hard even if I lose the match, because meeting characters like yours is simply the coolest part of Dark Souls period ♥
Another excellent video SunlightBlade. Keep em coming.
are you done posting ds3 vids???? i miss you sunlight bro its been like a month and a half since I've heard from you!!
love these series sunlight blade! keep it up man!!
That moment when PvPSkillz is uploading more creative builds.... except for that Candle Waifu build, that was actually great
I do similar based on WoW specs. This was beautiful sir. This has become an art form mixed with technical mastery of the game. Terrific commentary and breakdown. Ty for the entertainment
number 9 is a pretty generic build for the caestus due to the true combo being discovered
So is the immolation tinder one, I mean the playstyle is good but the build is pretty common :o
lmao shadow putting people in their place
Both the immolation tinder playstyle and build are very generic for immolation tinder users bc it's quite effective (minus the use of the WA cuz that thing sucks.)
This top 10 was awesome!
What is wrong whit people who lose against bow only builds ???
Just use a shield... And in my view that is dark souls 2 's foult.
I guess you still gotta engage at some point!
well u see a lot of people suck online, so there are many clips one can make wrecking someone who just sucks compared to the like 20 other times they couldn't get their build to work
A lot of people just dont think they're gonna find someone crazy enough to use a bow only build.
Yes but it takes nearly 5 sec to equip a shield if you like me are pretty bad
Laetos A lot of builds dont work with shields. For example, my build uses a pretty heavy weapon, and I rely on the 2H combos for it, so if I were to equip a shield, I'd also have to switch my armor to keep myself under the weight limit, AND I'd be forced to handicap myself by using my weapon with one hand. At that point, I'd much rather trust my dodging skills.
That Rope Firebomb kill was BADASS.
Ranged tank? What is this, Runescape?
Wouldn't stand a chance against my C Maul... oops, I mean, my Great hammer.
A ranged tank... Is a tank.
it was G Maul.
Julio Bianchini Batista RS3 trash
Glen Greenia Sorry you don't get it.
more than these builds im impressed with your skills in making numbers from guide stones
It's a shame that PvPSkillz' Miracle/Sorcery build wasn't on this list.
Yes I've been waiting for this
10, 9, 3, 2: "creative"
Spear+straight sword is really annoying to fight against, and not that creative :/
i agree
thanks! that build is too op. i actually decommissioned it for being too easy and dishonorable.
Yeah, they were done before... Sunlight has to catch up now. :-/
What about 6?
Wow, you can one shot people with a riposte by stacking buffs and Hornet Ring!?
*gasp*
Who would've thought!?
Hey, Sunlightblade!
I really love your videos. They are hilarious and so entertaining. Keep up the good work!
Um... #9 is a rip off of Praise the Sun's tournament build...
True, but to be fair, Praise didn't come up with that build... Idk who did
the first two builds were also used in tournaments.
Again a awsome vid and the music and the end is so cool and peacefull, i already hyped for the next topic
What is wrong with you people? PvP Skillz didn't invent the use of iron flesh and there has been people using it before he even made any videos of it.
+Decus Extinctum he popularized it smart one
Popcorn Machine I doubt he popularized anything.
That immolation tinder build looks pretty amazing
"Vileblood Hunter."
Can't tell if executioner...
...or vileblood.
For #8, Iron Flesh reduces your lightning resistance by a ton. Was definitely risky to use that against a Dragonslayer Swordspear.
Why is this in xqcs reddit recap
True
Sunlight Blade Video out! Watching is a must! Love your content man. You are the one who got me into Dark Souls 2 years ago.
You know, the reason people stopped submitting as much is due to how lackluster dark souls 3 is in comparison to the other games ( including dark souls 2 ) All of it is pure stunlock now and you just can't switch things up in dark souls 3.
It's funny because your profile picture is so ironic
Well, you can't be taken seriously on the Internet unless you are as dank as a gank.
DS1 PvP = clunky mess that was fun because it was fresh
DS2 PvP = clunky mess with shitty hitboxes that people praise because of variety.
+Desū Gun Ds2 PVP- Perfectly balanced and fun system that is hated for no reason by dank COD scrubs.
#3 is my absolute favorite. Most creative by far
Eh... Too many Iron Flesh builds. :\
Yeaaaah 3 is my build too! Fashion and all much respect
A lit candle with a parry caestus. How to ruin your cosplay in one easy step.
Damn if i knew, i would have posted my half Lorian, half Lothric build. More creative than half these submissions.
Falkenbax don't blow yourself
number ten was pretty much entirely my dSOULS 2 main glad to see it catch on a bit
"Top ten iron flesh builds"
I made a build a long time ago when dark souls 3 first came out. It was purely a build of magic and once painting of ariandel and ringed city dropped, a miracle build as well. I would fight only using physical weapon based magic. Like soul greatsword, dark edge, farron flashsword, farron darts(magic throwing knives pretty much), and eventually old moonlight, the cleric disc thing, and the literal miracle bow magic. I called it my conjuration build. And of course 99 faith and intelligence. It was fun.
Most of these aren't even builds nor are unique. "Oh look! A guy using Immolation Tinder with spells! I never thought that would happen!"
Maybe because you never see that weapon being used, and most players are too mentally challenged to make a proper/ build out of it, making mine unique?
That's because there are no unique builds in this game. The game is super dumbed down and casualized, and 90% of the weapons feel exactly the same
That's how Dark Souls always was. Only DS2 had weapons that stood out. Whether it was because of fashion, moveset, or sheer damage. Everything could be made viable with effort.
DS2 Is simply the best of its series. People simply need to swallow their pride and admit it.
Charlie Chuckles Im painfully aware. All but 3 straight swords have the same exact moveset
ds1 is best for story and PvE. ds2 is best for PvP. ds3 is meh in PvP but good in PvE and story. I guess what im saying is theyre all good. hated bloodbornes system never even did PvP in it.
4:30 Note how he waits with the arrow until the other guy finishes his miracle. THIS is honorable, and this is how it should be!
@Tofu Regardless how an invader came into the host's world - if both visibly agree to a duel by bowing and all that, then it is a duel and from then on it's about honor more than before.
I don't like number 3
Cause he pointed down.
His opponent healed during a duel and was using a dark sword. He deserved it.
Is pointing down "rude"?
It is seen as a negative gesture, yeah. Its basically like saying "you are below me, know your place" You usually use it after defeating people who heal during duels or after beating gank squads. Because you are at such a disadvantage in these situations it shows how much better you are than them.
LOL, I always point down and clap when I kill an invader, hahaha.
You'd figure folks playing DS would have slightly thicker skin than that.
That bow+iron flesh build gives me life
wow loots of people watch pvp skillz don't they
Yeah he has been making Iron Flesh quite popular recently.
His builds are okay, the people he shows him winning against in his videos are really bad tho
I was thinking the same thing XD.
Awesome builds all around!
"Träger der Glut" lmao am i glad i'm not forced to play the german version...
These translations sound horrific
"Support the Embers"
...
Well then. Guess my quest is on the wrong side?
Träger means carrier or bearer.
Hahaha you have no idea how diverse you can express yourself in german english is a joke in comparison.. That says "carrier of cynders" if you're wondering.. next time try n think first
TheNuDark Well, thanks. Excuse me while I grab my five year German less- oh, wait. I don't know German.
Server Kastan
i AM german, and no.
Awesome video mate
finally been waiting for this
Throwing that firebomb behind him looked so cool.
Woo hoo! New Vid! XD sorry for not submitting this time, couldent really call my dragon glass cannon creative anymore... but you know I'm subbing for trolls, I have a few in mind...
Quickstep and Iron Flesh is pretty dang sweet I must say! Probably my favorite of them all.
love ur videos man keep the content flowing;)
I'm glad to see somebody else tried the number 2 build. I tried it myself, but I focused too much on trying to make it a "Jack of all trades" type to really be viable. I'm gonna go back to Rosaria and rectify that, I think.
Omfg, the number 1 spot was SICK.
The 1th isn't a jack of all trades, it is the master of everything.
