***** It doesn't download to everyone's pc on the 29th. It rolls out on that date, so it will come to some users first, eventually expanding to other people later on.
Link The Love Well, I reserved early, as soon as the icon appeared... and my little notification thing is telling me they'll let me know when it's ready... but I thought ISO's were being made available as well?

***** Maybe depends on when you reserved your copy(?) Try checking the windows icon if it says "Windows 10 is downloading" or check your windows update if it's downloading any "updates". Im downloading windows 10 atm, and it's on 80% now.

They are rolling it out in phases. Some will have to wait longer than others

All this fancy animation would make things even more painful when it gets stuck! Not to mention horrible hardware on most windows laptops.

For my bad luck my 6670 doesnt support it for unknown godly reason like there is a huge difference between this and 7XXX version but sure let us blow everything old so they can buy more new stuff either they want that or not

Windows 7 and Windows XP only
I just can't get over how bad the design is in comparison to OSX. They are soooo far behind in atheistic and as a designer that is huge. I honestly don't see them talking about anything besides "a new browser", "works with xbox!" and "works on tablets!" as their new features. Tell me how it's more stable (like technically how not just "it's more secure"). Windows is notoriously insecure compared to OSX and now matter how many excuses mac haters seem to make the evidence is just not there.
The simple FACT is OSX has been far ahead of windows for about a decade now in security and stability. This is really indisputable if you really understand the coding going on under the hood. So why are people still using windows unless they are hardcore gamers. It just baffles me. 10 doesn't appear to really even get windows close to OSX. Ah well.
Novus Stream man you just opened sooo many cans of worms. you want some of my popcorn while fanboys start commenting about windows? I use both OSs (Windows for home, mac forced for school) and have to say that while OSX is admittedly more sexy than windows, windows still has the whole functionality deal going for it, as well as wider software support as it is the most used OS. this is also why OSX seems more secure (atleast. to the normal user who downloads a bunch). virus devs don't produce as many for OSX as they do for windows, as producing it for windows will ultimately effect more people. OSX is (for me at least) the same stability as windows, having had two crashes due to apparent ram failure (even after new ram) on my 2011 MBP and two crashes on windows (drivers issues) in about a month. also, macs (and you can't disagree) are more expensive. yes, there is better quality etc etc which i agree with, but a $300 windows machine will do fine for someone who doesn't need to transport it or for it to be super durable.
here is my opinion to anyone who wants to know: buy what YOU like more! it really depends what you want from a PC (and i say that as personal computer not windows).

At the end of the day I agree to just buy what you want. If I had a windows machine I would surely upgrade. I can't agree with the functionality comment to be honest. 10 years ago I may have agreed but you can do pretty much everything the same on a mac for the average user.
Apple makes solid hardware that has really high consumer satisfaction rates. Is it overpriced? I would argue YES. But imo you are paying for a better user experience.
Like I could handle windows just fine and manage it and it would work just fine. My parents? They have no clue and windows vulnerabilities just screw them time and time again but they refuse to bye a mac for some reason. My mom LOVES her ipad and iphone though now so they don't even use a damn desktop LOL. Cheers!
As a streamer though some day I will have to buy a windows rig for steam. I am watching this launch with hope. I want it to succeed. And by the way competition is good for us all! :)
