@brosay what Yes i ask Allah first to help me and i take action. Then i call the police who are in this world. Ali is in the other world and can not benefit you in any way possible. That is why first chapter of Quran says in Surah Fatiha. "Only you do we worship and only you do we ask for help". Praying to those who are in the hereafter is shirk, it is a sin in the highest form.
@brosay what Asking is different then praying to. Asking for things from those who are alive who can hear you, who can do something for you is not Shirk. What is Shirk is praying to dead people, made up Gods other then Allah, to worship creation instead of Creator that is Shirk. Allah says He will never forgive that sin if that person died with that sin and have no repented and reformed. Dead people can not hear you nor can they help you in any way. Allah is all seeing, all hearing, all powerful, He is always present and only He is our protector.
I love hazrat ali, one of the greatest warrior in the history. I pay respect to his simplicity, honesty. He had fear of Allah a lot.

@@muhsin19 None of the Others could Match Ali (AS) it was Umar who said "Without Ali, Umar would have Perished" when you look at the Credentials of the A'hlul B'ayt even in Sunni Sources no one else could match them Ali (AS) was "K'aram Allah W'ajhu (Born in the K'aaba) and did not practice S'hirk once in his life, unlike the others, B'abul H'awaij (Gate to the City of Knowledge) and the Prophet (SAWW) said "There is no Sword like D'hulfiqar there is no Valiant like Ali (AS)" than there is Fatima Z'ahra (SA) who is considered the Highest Woman in Existence according to Sunni Sources as well and the Sunni Hadith Narrates from the Prophet (SAWW) which says "F'atima is from Me, and I am from Fatima, Whoever Angers her, Angers Me, and Whoever Angers Me Angers Allah (SWT)" than there is the Grandsons of the Prophet (SAWW) who was given the Title J'addil-H'assanain (Grandfather of Hassan and Hussein) who are given the Titles Al-S'ayyid Al-S'habab Al-J'annah (Masters of the Youth of Paradise) name any one else could touch this? We Shia Follow the A'hlul B'ayt (AS) as History and Truth makes them stand above the rest.

You will love imam Ali ( عليه افضل الصلاة والسلام) and admire him more to extend that you would not be able to see someone else as role model of course besides the holy prophet Muhammad ( صلى الله عليه واله وسلم)، so I recommend you to read his biography from Shia sources and Sunni's too and then compare what you read.

As for seyyidna Abubakar and seyyidna Umar (R A) I believe they were not suitable to run the Islamic caliphate rather than Imam Ali but I also respect them so that they did a lot to Islam and a lot of Islam expansion during their reign as caliphs. Yes they may have committed mistakes but they also did great achievements.
