Modern Arnis basics 16: parrying and evading

Continuing with our look at Modern Arnis defenses ranging from Evade to Block to Disarm (EBD), we move on from blocks so parrying and evasion. We cover basics of slicing, dropping, umbrellas, and live hand parries. While evading means you make the attacker miss simply by moving, parrying involves helping them to miss with some sort of contact - they fall between evasion and blocking in the spectrum of defensive actions. This time we do also stress at least one followup counterattack, especially because parries to pokes are best done while simultaneously countering.
